I don’t think so. Looks like an overcharged BIC Lighter to me.
As to Festus, he was lucky not to hit a bystander, and shot long after he was out of any possible danger range, although he did fire into the ground. A 1911 Colt in .45 is big enough, and muzzle velocity is slow enough to shatter and ricochet. So that posed a risk.(Thought your boys preferred your little Glockity-Glocks – this old guy went Old Skool.)

The primary issue here – as it has been from the outset – is the distorted narrative put forth by corporate media to distort any and everything that can be remotely associated with .45. In this case, it was who started the violence in Charlottesville and responded defensively to violence. Corporate fascists will eventually succeed in getting a large number of their “for-hire” protest stooges killed at one of these altercations and then it’ll be on like donkey kong and you won’t like the consequences of that heat-up.
Hell, it only takes ~30 3%’s with AR-15’s to stand down popo as is. Get 500 or more like you did at the Bundy ranch, and now we’re back to your whiny fantasy of pill-billy soldiers violating posse comitatus and shooting their own kith and kin. Not gonna happen.
The makings of a real civil war don’t exist in America at this juncture, however, the makings of a violent and protracted armed insurgency against the beauracratic deep state and seiges against selected cities are just a stone’s throw away from the present moment.
Geriatric corporatist stooges running this fiasco don’t really have a prayer of winning that altercation. Much as they didn’t win the Bundy ranch stand-off.
