Hate Bombings in Austin

The Trumpazoids continue their campaign of terror….

Three package bombings at Austin homes are linked, police say; two dead

Police have linked three package bombings that have killed two residents in Austin, Texas, over the last 10 days, raising fears that a serial bomber is targeting the city as hundreds of thousands of festival-goers flock to town for South by Southwest.

Two of the bombings happened in residential areas in the eastern half of the city on Monday morning, not at the festival, and police have not identified a suspect or given a possible motive as federal officials joined the investigation.

“We are not ruling anything out at this point,” Police Chief Brian Manley said at a televised news conference. “We’re imploring the community, if you know anything about these attacks, it is imperative that you come forward and let us know. We have innocent people getting hurt across this community.”

Before 7 a.m. Monday, residents at one home in east Austin found a mysterious package on their doorstep and brought it inside, Manley said.

When they began opening the package in their kitchen, the package exploded, killing a 17-year-old boy and injuring a woman who was taken the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Manley said.

Several hours later, shortly before noon and about five miles to the south, a 75-year-old woman found a similar mysterious package on her porch. “She picked up the package, and at that point, the explosion, the box detonated,” Manley said.

The day’s second bombing happened so soon after the morning’s first explosion that some officials went directly from one bombing site to another, Manley said. The elderly woman remained in critical condition Monday afternoon with life-threatening injuries.

The two bombings came a little over a week after a northeast Austin resident, Anthony Stephan House, 39, was killed in a “very similar” package bombing early in the morning, Manley said.

Police had initially deemed House’s death “suspicious” — saying it couldn’t be ruled out that he had assembled the package himself — but on Monday reclassified his death as a homicide.

The “average-sized” packages don’t appear to have been sent through traditional delivery services such as the U.S. Postal Service or UPS, and were left without ringing the bell, said Manley, who declined to give details about the devices but suggested they came in cardboard boxes.

“These devices can explode in many ways, either by being moved or being opened,” Manley said, also cautioning that the bombs “can be hidden in many different ways. … There is a certain level of skill required to put a device like this together successfully.”

Manley suggested that residents call 911 if they find a suspicious package and to leave their homes or wait in the rear until officials arrive.

“We will respond,” Manley said. “It make take a little while to get there because we are getting several calls.”

The victims of the first two bombings were black, raising fears early Monday that the Austinites were targeted because of their race, but a Latina was the victim of the third bombing, after which police declined to speculate on a possible pattern.

“We have no specific ideology or victimology behind this, and it will remain an ongoing investigation while we pursue any and every lead,” Manley said.

“We do not know yet whether the victims are the intended targets,” Manley said, adding that some homes had multiple residents and the bomber may have also targeted the wrong addresses.

Domestic Terrorism – Minnesota Mosque Bombing

If a Muslim threw a rock at an evangelical church, do you actually believe the white-wing press, from Faux News on down would be screaming “hate crime”?

They would be screaming Islamic Terrorism at the top of their hyperventilated lungs.

Knowing it is Session’s DOJ investigation surely warms the perps hearts.

Remember the pictures back during Katrina where the MSM described black people taking food and water from stores as “looting”, and white people doing the same thing as “foraging”?

2 Men Killed On Portland Train After Trying To Stop Anti-Muslim Rant, Police Say

“These were folks just riding the train and unfortunately got caught up in this.”

Two men were stabbed to death in the U.S. city of Portland on Friday when they tried to stop their attacker from harassing two women because they appeared to be Muslim, police said.

The incident unfolded on a commuter train hours before the start of Ramadan, Islam’s holy month, when most of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims observe a religious fast.

The attack began shortly before 4:30 p.m. when a man started yelling ethnic and religious slurs toward two women who appeared to be Muslim on a MAX train at the Hollywood Transit Station, the Portland Police Department said in a statement.

Three men who intervened were stabbed, two fatally. The attacker was arrested shortly after he got off the train, police said, adding that the women left the scene before police could interview them.

“In the midst of his ranting and raving, some people approached him and appeared to try to intervene with his behavior and some of the people that he was yelling at,” Portland police spokesman Pete Simpson said during a news conference aired by local news outlets.

“They were attacked viciously by the suspect,” he added.

In a statement responding to Friday’s attack, the Council on American-Islamic Relations said that anti-Muslim incidents increased by more than 50 percent in the United States from 2015 to 2016 due in part to President Donald Trump’s focus on militant Islamist groups and anti-immigrant rhetoric.

“President Trump must speak out personally against the rising tide of Islamophobia and other forms of bigotry and racism in our nation that he has provoked through his numerous statements, policies and appointments that have negatively impacted minority communities,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad.

The administration says that while it strongly opposes Islamist militants, it has no quarrel with Islam.

Following the attack, police said one of the men died at the scene while another died at a hospital. The third man was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“These were folks just riding the train and unfortunately got caught up in this,” he said. Witnesses told police that the two young women were possibly Muslim. One wore a hijab. Portland police did not identify the suspect or the victims.

Taking Out the Trash – Web Content Player Clean Up Their Mess

It has taken way too long for this to happen. The immediate impact of this is likely to be domestic, cutting the legs out from under the right-wing fake news sites and hate sites. This will target foreign as well as domestic terrorist recruiting.

Fake News

Web giants to cooperate on removal of extremist content

Web giants YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft will step up efforts to remove extremist content from their websites by creating a common database.

The companies will share ‘hashes’ – unique digital fingerprints they automatically assign to videos or photos – of extremist content they have removed from their websites to enable their peers to identify the same content on their platforms.

“We hope this collaboration will lead to greater efficiency as we continue to enforce our policies to help curb the pressing global issue of terrorist content online,” the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.

Tech companies have long resisted outside intervention in how their sites should be policed, but have come under increasing pressure from Western governments to do more to remove extremist content following a wave of militant attacks.

YouTube and Facebook have begun to use hashes to automatically remove extremist content.

But many providers have relied until now mainly on users to flag content that violates terms of service. Flagged material is then individually reviewed by human editors who delete postings found to be in violation.

Twitter suspended 235,000 accounts between February and August this year and has expanded the teams reviewing reports of extremist content.

Each company will decide what image and video hashes to add to the database and matching content will not be automatically removed, they said.

The database will be up and running in early 2017 and more companies could be brought into the partnership.

The European Union set up an EU Internet Forum last year bringing together the internet companies, interior ministers and the EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator to find ways of removing extremist content.

Bundy Militia Type Tries to Bomb Federal Building

As if there was any question these guys are rats and domestic terrorists…

William Keebler (Photo courtesy of Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office)

Bundy militia bro charged with trying to detonate a bomb at a government facility in Arizona

Yet another member of the Bundy militia is in trouble with the law again.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that 57-year-old William Keebler was arrested this week and charged with attempting to detonate a bomb at a Bureau of Land Management facility in Arizona.

Keebler, who took part in the 2014 standoff with federal land administrators near Cliven Bundy’s ranch, told undercover FBI agents that he planned to target a BLM building in Mount Trumbull, Ariz. The FBI agents, in turn, created a non-working explosive device for Keebler to use at the facility, which Keebler first started scouting as a target in October 2015.

Keebler planted the device at the BLM building on Tuesday and tried to detonate it, without luck. He was arrested the next day.

If convicted, Keebler could face between five to 20 years in federal prison.

GOP lawmaker: Halting gun sales to terrorists solves nothing

Another NRA owned whack job killing innocent Americans…

GOP lawmaker: Halting gun sales to terrorists solves nothing — unlike saying ‘radical Islam’

An NRA-funded Alabama Republican defended his vote against a ban on gun sales to suspected terrorists shortly before a gunman who had twice been investigated for terrorism links massacred more than 50 people at a gay nightclub.

U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama) criticized a proposed amendment three weeks ago to a 2017 funding bill bill that would prohibit firearms sales to individuals listed on the federal terrorist watch list, saying it would be a superficial solution, at best, reported AL.com.

The ban might sound reasonable, Aderholt said, “but like many liberal solutions, they are only skin deep.”

“The reality is many people find themselves on the terrorist watch list by mistake,” the lawmaker said. “Something as simple as a mix up of a birth date can put someone on the list and the process to remove a name can take months or even years.”

Omar Mateen, the 29-year-old gunman, legally purchased a military-style rifle and handgun in the last 12 days, after he had been investigated twice by the FBI and listed for a time on the terrorist watch list.

Aderholt blamed the mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub on President Barack Obama and “political correctness,” and then begged the media and Democrats not to politicize the massacre.

“I was sad to hear about the terrorist attacks in Orlando, on American soil,” Aderholt said. “This and other attacks we have seen, prove that we do not have the luxury of debating the political correctness of ‘radical Islam.’ We need to focus on these and other terrorists and do whatever it takes to identify and hunt down those who would do us harm.”

Aderholt, who received $2,500 from the NRA during his 2014 campaign, said “it was disheartening” to hear the president and the media suggest that stricter gun laws could prevent mass shootings.

“Terrorists by their very definition are criminals and will find a way get their hands on guns,” he said. “What the president is proposing would take guns away from the very people who would defend themselves.”

“That said, it is too soon to inject politics into the discussion. The White House and Congress should focus on the task at hand – protecting the homeland,” Aderholt added.

50 dead, Islamic terrorism tie eyed in Orlando gay bar shooting

A shooting and hostage situation early Sunday morning at a Florida nightclub — which describes itself as “Orlando’s hottest gay bar” — left an estimated 50 people dead, including the gunman, and more than 50 injured, officials say.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said at a press conference Sunday that a state of emergency has been declared after what authorities have indicated may have been a “lone wolf” style terror attack. The attack appears to be the deadliest mass shooting in American history.

Sources have confirmed to CBS News that authorities are investigating whether the suspect, who has been named as Omar Mateen, had ties to Islamic terrorism. Mateen, of Port. St. Lucie, Florida, is a U.S. citizen with no apparent criminal history, according to sources.

Dyer said that in addition to the 50 people who were killed in the attack, 53 were treated for injuries.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina said the suspect was found with a handgun and an AR-15-style assault rifle.

Medical officials say there is an urgent need for donations of O Negative blood, O Positive blood and AB Plasma. To find a donation center visit www.oneblood.orgor call 1.888.9Donate. Donors should be healthy, age 16 or older and weigh at least 100 pounds.

A U.S. intelligence source told CBS news senior investigative producer Pat Milton that Islamic terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive in the shooting due to several indicators including the style of the attack, which had similarities tothe attacks in Paris in November 2015 and Brussels in March. The gunman put up a protracted gun battle with police and was heavily armed, the source said.

Robots are now analyzing a device the gunman had strapped to his body to determine if it was a real explosive device or a fake made to look like a real device, the source said.

Sources tell Milton that authorities investigating the incident are still looking into whether the attack is a hate crime.

Mina said the incident at Pulse nightclub began around 2:20 a.m., when shots rang out and an officer already posted at the event engaged the gunman, whom Mina said was armed with an assault rifle, a handgun, and a “device” of some kind that officials believed was a threat. Mina said the gunman appeared organized and well-prepared for the incident.

Math Professor Stopped For Terrorism on Flight For Writing Down Formulas

Another one of those ignorant Trump nut-job types overreacting…

Guido Menzio (Image source: University of Pennsylvania)

University of Pennsylvania Professor Guido Menzio

Dark, Curly Haired Man With Olive Skin Suspected of Terrorism After Intensely Scribbling Strange Script Aboard Plane. But There’s Just One Problem.

Something about her airplane seatmate didn’t sit right with her.

He had dark, curly hair, olive skin and a foreign accent. When she tried some small talk on the Thursday evening jaunt from Philadelphia to Syracuse, New York, he replied bluntly as though he couldn’t be bothered at the moment.

She took the hint. But what was up with his scribbling on the notepad? She noticed how intensely he seemed to approach whatever it was he was working on, but she couldn’t make out what his script could possibly represent. And it all added up, for her, to an unsettling feeling.

So after the plane had finished boarding, she handed a flight attendant a note, the Washington Post reported.

A half hour went by with American Airlines flight 3950 remaining on the tarmac, and the flight attendant returned to the woman and asked if she now felt okay to fly or was “too sick,” the Post said.

She said she was okay, but soon the plane was headed back to the gate where the woman was escorted off, the paper said.

Finally the captain approached that intense, dark curly haired man who had been sitting next to the woman who just deplaned — and now he was being escorted off the flight as well.

An airline agent told the man he was suspected of terrorism, the Post said — mostly because of whatever it was his former seatmate had seen him intensely scribbling (but his look and accent apparently gave her pause, too).

The man under investigation laughed, the paper said.

He wasn’t scribbling in Arabic or penning code for a terrorist plot — he was in the middle of a math equation.

Guido Menzio hails from Italy and is a well-regarded economist who’s an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

In fact, he won the prestigious Carlo Alberto Medal in 2015, set aside for the best Italian economist under 40.

As for his scribbling, Menzio was headed to Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, where he would be lecturing about menu costs and price dispersion, the Post said, and was attempting to nail down some figures on the plane.

The Ivy League prof let those concerned see his work for themselves, and he was allowed to return to his seat, he told the Post by email, adding that the pilot seemed embarrassed. Two hours after it was set to take off, the 41-minute flight finally got off the ground.

Menzio’s former seatmate never returned to the plane, and an American Airlines spokesman told the Post she initially told the flight attendant she was feeling ill — but after deplaning explained to authorities her concerns about Menzio were behind her condition.

Menzio told the paper he was “treated respectfully throughout” but is unimpressed by a “broken system that does not collect information efficiently.” He added to the Post that airline security protocol “is too rigid — in the sense that once the whistle is blown everything stops without checks – and relies on the input of people who may be completely clueless. ”

He even got a little political with the Post, noting the presidential campaign has increased xenophobia: “What might prevent an epidemic of paranoia?” Menzio wrote to the paper. “It is hard not to recognize in this incident, the ethos of [Donald] Trump’s voting base.”

Belgium…Again

It isn’t any secret that Belgium has been “Terrorist Central” in Europe for years. It just isn’t something the MSM busy gnashing their teeth and flapping their lips about the attack this morning believe will sell their tawdry wares.

Belgium is a textbook example of immigration policies gone wrong – and a real life example of where Trump’s policies, should they be enacted will take the United States.

Tens of thousands of Muslim immigrants were allowed into Brussels with the objective of filling manufacturing and blue collar jobs in a country where the principle business is banking, and the business of being the principle business to business crossroads in Europe. Everybody got an office in Brussels, and the country’s privacy laws assure that what goes down in Brussels stays there until the participants wish to make it public. Great place for business with one of the higher levels of educated populace in the world. But there is a considerable gap between the richest and poorest – the top 20% of the population earn about four times as much as the bottom 20%.

SO, what happens to these largely uneducated Muslims who have come to the country when the manufacturing moves out?

They become unemployed, and largely unemployable – concentrated in ghettos, and marginalized by a close knit society…Ergo a playground for the devil.

In he steps, and his name is ISIS.

Why Belgium Is Such a Hotbed for Islamic Terrorism

With dozens dead following a series of three explosions in Brussels, a question that has come up with dispiriting frequency over the past two years has once again become relevant: Why does Belgium, the leafy land of chocolate and beer, seem to have such a disproportionately serious problem with terrorism?

Before Tuesday morning’s explosions, the country’s status as a hotbed for Islamic extremism was most recently on display in the wake of last year’s attacks in Paris, which were carried out by terrorists who had been living in the Molenbeek neighborhood of Brussels. Earlier this week, police in Brusselscaptured Salah Abdeslam, considered to be the last surviving participant in the Paris attacks, in that same neighborhood.

Belgium is also believed to have been the source of weapons used in the January 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks. And before that, it was the site of a mass shooting in May 2014, when a gunman opened fire on the Jewish Museum in Brussels.

Meanwhile, young Muslims from Belgium have been pouring into Syria to fight in the civil war there; according to Belgian blogger and terrorism tracker Pieter van Ostaeyen, a total of about 560 Belgians have traveled to Syria and Iraq in order to fight as jihadis.

As my Slate colleague Josh Keating wrote last November, the apparent concentration of Islamic extremism in Belgium is largely the result of a group called Sharia4Belgium and its charismatic leader Fouad Belkacem. The group, which was founded in Antwerp and first gained attention by staging public commemorations of the 9/11 attacks, has capitalized on the high rates of poverty among Muslims in Belgium, as well as anger over widespread discrimination against Muslims and bans on Islamic veils that were passed in Antwerp in 2009 and at the national level in 2011.

Speaking to CNN for a recent article, the brother of two young men who left Belgium for Syria cited a sense of marginalization and a lack of opportunity as the main drivers of radicalization. “The Belgian state rejects children and young people,” he was quoted as saying. “They say, ‘They are all foreigners, why should we give them a job?’ They fill us with hate, and they say we aren’t of any use, so when young people see what’s going on over there [in Syria], they think ‘Well OK, let’s go there and be useful.’ ”

Though Sharia4Belgium was dealt a blow last February when 45 of its members, including Belkacem, were convicted for recruiting young people in Brussels and Antwerp to fight in Syria, it was believed at the time that much of what they had already built would remain in place.

ISIS Terrorist Executes Own Mother…

The resident Board Troll and ISIS Sympathizer likes to point out that the “evil” Obama has killed a number of terrorists…

This is what the Destructive Flapjack is supporting.

ISIS fighter executes own mother in Syria for ‘apostasy,’ rights groups say

An ISIS fighter has executed his own mother before a public audience, an expat Syrian rights group said.

The 20-year-old killed his mother in the Syrian city of Raqqa, ISIS’ de facto capital, as hundreds looked on near the post office where she worked, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

ISIS had accused her of apostasy after her son turned her in, the activists said. She allegedly had been “inciting her son to leave the Islamic State.” She wanted to escape with him and told him “that the coalition will kill all members of the organization.”

The observatory reported that the victim was in her 40s. The activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently reported that she was 35.

Treason.

Why America is No Longer #1

The following from NRA President Pepe Le Pee-U…Fearmonger

This is part of the Speech by Franklin D. Roosevelt declaring war on Japan after the Pearl Harbor attack.

Big difference between Great Men and cowards. America isn’t “exceptional” anymore. We have fallen from 1st to 17th in the world in terms of economic mobility and opportunity for our citizens. A large part of that has to do with the election of fear mongers and conservatives believing in the false siren call of neo-nazi Ayn Rand. And of course those paid and bought by the gun sellers.

More than 80% of the guns used in mass killings in America were bought “legally” – aided and abetted by the mechanizations of the NRA.

“The age of terror”: NRA’s new fearmongering ad campaign equates American exceptionalism to more guns

In the wake of the San Bernardino shooting on Wednesday, the second high-profile attack in less than a week, the usual cycle of debate over gun laws has included an increased scrutiny of the NRA’s political spending and now the gun lobbying group is using its moment back in the spotlight to tout America’s exceptionally horrid history of gun violence to promote the NRA. Shocker.

The ninth installment in the NRA’s “Freedom’s Safest Place” campaign features the group’s leader, Wayne LaPierre and is titled, “Demons At Our Door.” The ad was released just days after 56-year-old Robert Dear entered a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood and shot 12 people, killing three, and days before this latest shooting rampage in San Bernardino. In it, La Pierre makes specific reference to “the age of terror” and goes on to fear-monger over the threat of terror and violence to promote the NRA. The ad is currently running prominently on Fox News.

“Innocents like us,” LaPierre says, addressing his NRA members directly to camera, “will continue to be slaughtered in concert halls, sports stadiums, restaurants and airplanes.”

“They will come to where we worship,” LaPierre warns as ominous music waves over blurred images of American everyday life, “where we educate and where we live.”

“But when evil knocks on our doors, Americans have a power no other people on the planet share,” LaPierre proudly proclaims, touting the Second Amendment. “Let fate decide if mercy is offered to the demons at our door.”

The Terrorist Next Time

There will be more terrorist attacks in America.

Why?

Because all of the conditions where terrorism is useful as a weapon exist, and some politicians, and right wing media are actively recruiting for ISIS.

America has minority populations suppressed or subjected to injustice by the majority. Domestic terrorism, whether legally sanctioned through the Police Departments and Judicial System, or that done by right wing and white supremacist groups is aimed at controlling the minority population(s), is in vast majority aimed at Minorities.  A retaliatory  bomb or killing causes the majority to implement more repressive measures, assuring further disenfranchisement by the minority group…making recruitment of terrorists easy. re: Israel and the Arab Uprising

Terrorism is a means of asymmetric warfare. Your enemy is bigger, stronger, and has access to advanced weaponry – and in any head on fight is going to win. The near certainty of losing any armed conflict is why black folks did not react more violently to Jim Crow, and was the principle thinking behind development of using peaceful resistance as he basis for demanding Civil Rights.

In the past, rebel armies focused primarily on stealth and attacking military targets. Modern technology largely makes that a risky enterprise. One of the people whose tactics are studied by the US Military is Geronimo, whose stealth attacks, mobility, and guile tied the Mexican and US MIlitary of the time in knots for decades. However, in light of what the Apache really did, which was to attack farms and small settlements massacring the inhabitants, today they likely would be seen as terrorists. The Apache were subdued eventually, basically because they ran out of fighters.

ISIS and Al Qaeda don’t have a manpower issue and steadily recruit from the more than 1 billion Muslims in the world, as well as converts. They have been successful in recruiting even in the non-Middle Eastern, non-Muslim communities in the US and Europe. Anyone believing a terrorist is going to look like a brown skinned middle eastern guy…Is a fool, and deserves whatever said terrorist does to him/her. The principal weakness of ISIS is the same religion that joins their soldiers. Ergo, their variation is exclusionary (unlike real Islam), thus meaning that that have not so far been able to make coalitions with other groups on the basis of “the enemy of my enemy”. For the US, that is good news.

However, any attempt to target or suppress the Muslim Community in the US becomes a self fulfilling prophecy by recruiting more radicals for ISIS.

Meaning asshats like those in this video are a terrorist organizers best friend. At least these Republican/conservative/right wingers don’t have to worry about being attacked themselves – simply because they are too good as Useful Fools in recruiting American Jihadis.

What they had better worry about is Americanized Jihadis being able to form alliances and radicalize other disenfranchised groups.

‘They’re Coming Here to Kill Us!’: Pirro, Geraldo Spar on Guns, Radical Islam

Judge Jeanine Pirro and Geraldo Rivera had a spirited debate this morning about the threat from radical Islam and guns in the United States.

Pirro seized on reports that a neighbor saw suspicious activity by the Muslim husband and wife who carried out Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, but didn’t say anything to police.

The judge said that this is a “new time” and it demands that people speak out regardless of political correctness.

Rivera pushed back that the peril to America does not only come from Muslims, pointing to other recent mass shootings by non-Muslims.

It has also emerged that the woman involved in the attack was in the U.S. on a K-1 visa.

Pirro said it’s a clear example of the government being unable to keep out those who want to do us harm, while claiming 10,000 Syrian refugees can be properly vetted.

“What’s happening is the Muslim jihadists want to kill us. If we ignore that, we are suckers,” said Pirro.

Rivera said guns are also part of the problem, arguing it’s easier to get a gun license than a driver’s license in America.

Winning the War With ISIS

One of the reasons Republicans avoid the issue of what to do against ISIS – other than to sabre rattle for the easily mislead low intelligence base, and Democrats have a hard time enunciating a strategy is that the only way to actually end the ISIS threat involves a number of politically unpalatable choices. And I don’t mean toesies on the ground type stupid.

ISIS, like Al Qaeda is a creation of the wahabi sect. Said sect is financially supported and provided cover throughout the Middle East by (gasp) our “friend and ally” Saudi Arabia.

There are two basic ways to end Middle East Terrorism:

  1. Go “Medieval”
  2. Destroy the engine driving the creation of new terrorists.

#1 is executed by raising the level of terror, regardless of civilian casualties to the level nobody in the Middle East will ever want to consider attacking the West again. Red Army/Roman obliteration of enough folks, everyone else is too busy hiding under a rock to cause any more trouble. Think WWII and Dresden or Hiroshima type destruction. Make it clear that in any further terrorist attack the home cities, or cities in which they trained will be leveled. It may take Hitler/Stalin level carnage to get the message through.

#2 is to go after the source. Ergo, pick a Holy Day, and declare a drone free day simultaneously bombing each and every Mosque and Madrassa in the Middle East where Wahabi Witch Doctors spew their hate. Within 24 hrs, completely shut down all Saudi (and Turkey) international holdings, whether gold, property, or money, and deport all Saudi Citizens from the US (and Europe). Cut the entire financial string. Seize all ships, businesses, and other assets. Pick the hometowns of the current ISIS and Al Qaeda Leaders, Send a few dozen B-52’s and obliterate it – whether they are there or not. Declare null and void all treaties, toss Turkey out of NATO, and declare them Pariah States until such time as the Governments take substantive action to end the support of, and financing the proselytization of Wahhabism worldwide, and material or other support for ISIS and Al Qaeda.

Of course such will likely cause the collapse of the tottering House of Saud…And possibly an internal revolution in Turkey. Let them fight each other, with the understanding that should the fundamentalist crazies win – the only thing they have done is to provide hard targets.

And lastly…Learn to live with ourselves afterward.

How ISIS pacifies an area

Paris Attack Shows Why Al Qaeda Might Have Been Right About ISIS All Along

At this point, there are important components to events which are not clear: Were the plans for the downing of the Russian airliner in Sinai, last week’smultiple suicide attacks in Beirut and the bombings in Paris, conceived within the Islamic State leadership and the operations executed according to the wishes and directions of the ISIS leadership in Raqqa or Mosul?

President François Hollande implied a connection to Raqqa, but gives no evidence. But if this indeed is so, and let us presume it is, it signals a major shift in strategy by ISIS. The consequences imply that the West may no longer be able to fend off acknowledging the Wahhabist origins of movements such as ISIS and Al Qaeda, nor ignore their umbilical connection to Saudi Arabia, which has succored them — even as the House of Saud now fears that its monstrous progeny is intent on “cleansing”Arabia of the Al Saud themselves, and returning it the pristine Wahhabism on which Saudi Arabia originally was founded — the “one, true Islam” that ISIS insists upon.

In the wake of 9/11, the fact that 15 of the 19 attackers were Saudi citizens was airbrushed out from the landscape in favor of claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction — which Washington wished the world would focus on more. It will not be so easy to ignore the historic dimension now.

America may have to take a deep breath and fundamentally reconsider the nature of its alliances with the likes of Turkey and Saudi Arabia, which both openly proclaimedtheir intent, in Syria today, to go on aiding the gamut of these Caliphate forces (ISIS, Al Qaeda and Ahrar al-Sham). Recall that ordinary Syrians have been living Paris’ Friday terror on a daily basis, for five years now. It is hard to see how the West can continue its ambiguous game of footsie with such forces, in the wake of what may have happened in Sinai, in Beirut and Paris.

So, what can have prompted this major strategic shift by ISIS? Well, there has always been one major point of dissent between Al Qaeda and ISIS: Al Qaeda’s leadership hassaid, openly, that it believes that ISIS had erred by proclaiming the Caliphate, the Islamic State. The ISIS proclamation was premature and the conditions were not propitious, Al Qaeda’s leaders stated.

Al Qaeda military operations focus on the “vexation and exhaustion” of America and its Western allies, which would eventually lead to an overextension of Western forces in many ways: morally, militarily, politically and economically. A reflection of this different approach to ISIS has been Al Qaeda’s willingness to work and cooperate with other insurgent forces in Syria; whereas ISIS rejects cooperation, demanding instead absolute allegiance and obedience.

ISIS opted for the absolute: an all out push to establish God’s “Principality” (a Caliphate), here and now, on physical territory, with borders, administration, Sharia law and a system of justice. The big difference between the two movements in effect, is “territoriality.” Al Qaeda is global, ephemeral and virtual, whereas ISIS is territorial.

But what if ISIS fears to lose this territoriality? Strange things are happening in Syria. Villages that have been held by ISIS for two years are falling to government forces in hours. Everywhere small gains are being made by the Syrian army or its allies, across contested areas. It is too early to say that ISIS is collapsing — but a part of it may be.

And if ISIS begins to lose its distinguishing feature — that it is a territorial power in Syria and Iraq — then perhaps its leadership might conclude that Ayman al-Zawahiri was right: Al Qaeda was right, and ISIS, if it faces losing its territoriality, must adopt Al Qaeda strategies (Al Qaeda has already called for a united stand with ISIS against the Russian and Iranian interventions in Syria).

But what, on the other hand, if this is not a strategic decision by the ISIS leadership, but rather that the bomb on the Russian aircraft and the suicide bombings in Beirut and Paris were spontaneous, copycat attacks by local elements and not conceived, ordered and operationally initiated in Raqqa or Mosul?

In this case, Europe has a different problem — but one no less serious. In some ways, the public evidence does not lean towards a Raqqa-led initiative. It leans the other way. From what we know to date, all of those involved in the Paris attacks were European citizens. In short, it was a case of European on European war. It is not clear that any of the perpetrators were returnees from the conflict in Syria (the authenticity of the Syrian passport found at the scene has been questioned).

And if there was no direct order from the ISIS command, there is prima facie in Europe, a shadow Al Qaeda-like structure taking shape: the attacks in Paris were well-planned, prepared and executed. The claims of responsibility are not definitive: there have been examples where Islamic leaderships have accepted responsibility andclaimed an attack even when they did not order it — and whereby claiming it, severely damaged the movement.

Robert Fisk has noted:

Omar Ismail Mostafai, one of the suicide killers in Paris, was of Algerian origin — and so, too, may be other named suspects. Said and Cherif Kouachi, the brothers who murdered the Charlie Hebdo journalists, were also of Algerian parentage. They came from the five million-plus Algerian community in France, for many of whom the Algerian war never ended, and who live today in the slums of Saint-Denis and other Algerian banlieues of Paris.

If this is so then not just France, but other European states, too, will need to take a deep breath and wonder how their policies have metamorphosed, from ostensible multiculturalism, into a “soft apartheid” in which Europe’s Muslim citizens feel the discrimination and contempt of many of their fellow citizens… Read the rest here

How Republicans Aid and Abet ISIS

ISIS wants to turn the rhetoric on their terrorist attacks into a religious war against Islam. But the real fact is that ISIS are pretty equal opportunity murdering scumbags…

  1. They have killed and/or executed thousands, if not tens of thousands of their fellow Muslims.
  2. They have destroyed Mosques.
  3. They have destroyed cultural and historic sites.
  4. They have conducted forced marriages and mass rape of Muslim women.

None of which have anything to do with so-called right wing “christians” in the US.

Now America certainly has the capability to turn any stretch of landscape in the Middle East into “temporarily uninhabited” with conventional means as demonstrated in WWII in Dresden, or uninhabitable for periods in excess of 5,000 years as demonstrated by the relatively primitive weapon which devastated Hiroshima. All without reaching deep down into the arsenal of the “unthinkable” and with less than 20 minutes notice. The consequences of which aren’t likely to solve the “problem”.

Making Republicans ISIS’s dumbest “useful fools” of all.

Texas whack-job Ted Cruz – one of the biggest ISIS “Useful Fools”.

Taking the bait: How Republicans help ISIS spread their propaganda about the ‘war against Muslims’

The distended Republican presidential field’s (AKA The Clown Bus) response to the terror attacks in Paris is a conglomeration of policy proposals that look something like this: a ground invasion of Syria and Iraq that will explicitly be less careful about killing civilians, combined with a policy of relief for refugees only if they’re Christians.

One can almost see the Islamic State’s top ideologues and propagandists celebrating. And why not? Muslims the world over, which Isis views (wrongly) as a sea of potential recruits, could be forgiven for viewing the Republican rhetoric as a declaration of holy war against their coreligionists.

I wish my thumbnail descriptions of Republicans’ talking points were a joke, but they’re not. And the policies described by the candidates line up almost exactly with the image of America that Isis seeks to portray in its propaganda. The target for Isis’s messaging was made abundantly clear in a statement last month from the group: “Islamic youth everywhere, ignite jihad against the Russians and the Americans in their crusaders’ war against Muslims”, said Isis spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani.

Florida Senator and Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio might as well have had this very idea in mind when he said repeatedly, of the fight against Isis: “This is a clash of civilizations”. Rubio relished in his identification of Isis as an “Islamic” group – a notion President Barack Obama has disavowed. Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who has otherwise taken to defending his brother’s legacy, however ahistorically , evendisavowed George W Bush’s proclamations that the “global war on terror” wasn’t “against Islam , or against faith practiced by the Muslim people”.

Rubio even challenged Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s reluctance to use the term “radical Islam” with an inapt comparison: “That would be like saying we weren’t at war with Nazis because we were afraid to offend some Germans who were members of the Nazi Party but weren’t violent themselves”. The Nazis, in this comparison, would be Isis – but no one is contending that any Isis members should be spared the fight.

That the American fight against Isis is one aimed at Muslims, rather than a particular extremist group, was reinforced when the Republican candidates blamed Europe’s acceptance of Syrian refugees for the Paris attacks. Subsuming the news from Paris into their extremist platforms, Republican hopefuls moulded their usual anti-immigrant stances into positions against allowing any Syrian refugees into the country – on the rare occasion that they could demonstrate any knowledge of the specifics of Obama’s plan to settle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the US.

Donald Trump, for his part, couldn’t quite grasp the scale of Obama’s plan: “Our president wants to take in 250,000 from Syria. I mean, think of it. 250,000 people”, Trump told a rally in Texas. But Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush , usually considered a moderate among the zany Republican field, took it a step farther: they urged that only Syrian Christians be allowed to come to America as refugees. (Cruz hasstaked out this position before .)

That callousness not withstanding, Bush told NBC : “I think we have a responsibility to help, but ultimately the best way to deal with refugees is to have a strategy to take out Isis”, nodding to a declaration of war against the militant group and calling for a plan to “eradicate Isis from the face of the earth”. Other Republicans echoed the call for a stepped-up US military intervention .

So how would America wage this total war? We should “go in on the ground and destroy their caliphate”, said South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. Ben Carson, the famed neurosurgeon seeking the Republican nomination, said American troops on the ground would “ probably ” help the anti-Isis effort, but was short on other specifics: he said the fight should utilize American “covert resources, military resources, things-that-they-don’t-know-about resources”…
