SF-Alameda Cops Beat Unarmed Man After Surrender

This one is pretty hard to watch. A man suspected of car theft initially ran from Police but then stopped and surrendered. The Cops involved then threw him to the ground and repeatedly beat him with nightsticks and kicks. Unbelievable the victim survived this.

Vicious Police Beating Of Stanislav Petrov Sparks Call For Federal Probe

Two Northern California sheriff’s deputies seen repeatedly beating a suspected car thief in a video were placed on paid administrative leave on Sunday.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Alameda County deputies, who were not identified, were placed on leave two days after the release of the video, which launched an internal investigation.

The video released on YouTube by the San Francisco public defender’s office shows two deputies chasing a man on foot. As the man slows, one deputy tackles him and punches him twice. The second deputy arrives and starts hitting the man with his baton. Soon, both deputies hit him with their batons as he screamed and alternated from laying on the ground and getting on his knees.

Public Defender Jeff Adachi said the video shows excessive force and called for a federal probe of the incident.

“He didn’t pose any threat at that point, and they are clearly using excessive force and trying to seriously hurt him when he was on the ground and subdued,” he said Friday. “I don’t see any reason why he couldn’t be handcuffed and taken into custody.”

Alameda County Sheriff’s spokesman, Sgt. J.D. Nelson, said the deputies believed the suspect, 29-year-old Stanislav Petrov, was armed and possibly on drugs. A gun was later recovered.

The beating came at the end of a high-speed chase from San Leandro across the bay to San Francisco’s Mission District on Thursday. Authorities accused Petrov of ramming the deputies’ patrol cars, knocking one of the officers down before leading them on the chase.

Petrov was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Alameda County Public Defender Brendon Woods, who visited Petrov at the hospital Sunday, told KQED-FM that he suffered several broken bones in both of his hands or arms and multiple lacerations to the back of his head, but was alert and talking.

New Police Shooting Stirs Unrest in St. Louis

Another one which we will never probably know the details of what really happened. A dark alley, 2 suspects fleeing, Police in hot pursuit – one of the suspects purportedly pulls a gun…

Seems to be a repetitive story, sometimes true…Sometimes not.

Think it is a better idea to wait and see what the story really is.

Fresh racial unrest in St. Louis after police shoot black suspect

Police shot and killed a black man in St. Louis on Wednesday in a killing that drew angry crowds 10 days after protesters marked the anniversary of the police shooting of an unarmed teen in nearby Ferguson.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said the shooting took place as officers were attempting to execute a search warrant in a crime-ridden neighborhood, when two young black men ran out the back door of the targeted house.

Police officers confronted the suspects in the alley behind the house and one suspect pointed a gun at officers who then fired approximately four times, killing him, Dotson said.

Despite the police explanation of events, dozens of people gathered near the scene protesting the police use of deadly force, according to local media.

Spokane Bomb Suspect Right Wing Ties

In this undated handout photo provided by KXLY 4 News, bombing suspect Kevin William Harpham is shown. You have to ask yourself – why Cong. Pete King didn’t want to talk about the “other terrorists” in his hearings yesterday on “Muslim terrorism”…

Just another Tea Party Terrorist… Indeed.

In the event you think this scumbag was only targeting black folks – look at the mixed group of people at the Spokane Parade… And the number of little children in the video below.

Why are these guys a bigger threat? Because, you let a swarthy Middle Eastern dude with a beard walk into your average NRA Member owned gun shop, and ask for a pair of Glocks with spare 30 round clips…

That owner is 1) going to do a real background check, and 2) place his very first call ever to the FBI. And that’s if the owner doesn’t pull a gun on him, and hold him for the authorities.

Gomer here to the left, can walk in to the same gun shop, buy a pair of semi-automatic assault rifles, extended 45 round clips, the Glocks and clips…

And get free instruction and a kit on how to convert the rifles to full automatic, and directions on where he can but armor piercing rounds – because he’s one of “the boys”.

Fortunately, there aren’t too many of these all-American scumbags walking around… Just enough for 2-3 Mass Murders a year.

And how many times has the US been attacked by Middle-Eastern Terrorists since 9/11, again?

Spokane Suspect’s Neo-Nazi Ties Run Deep

Arrest Made in Spokane MLK Day Bomb Attempt

While police believe the bomber is a member of a white supremacist group, they have as of yet produced evidence or a motive in the arrest. Hard to tell at this point whether this guy acted alone, is a member of a white supremacist group such as the Aryan Nations or is another Tea Party whack job. Police and bomb experts are currently searching the accused home for clues…

Arrest made in MLK parade bomb plot

A suspect has been arrested in the foiled bombing of a Martin Luther King parade in this city last January, federal officials said Wednesday.

NBC station KHQ TV of Spokane reported that FBI vehicles converged on a home about 75 miles north of Spokane. Viewers told the station that the house was near U.S. 395 south of Colville, Wash.

The Seattle Times reported that an FBI source said one man was arrested and federal agents were preparing to search the house. The newspaper reported that the source said the man was believed to be affiliated with white supremacists.

The Times said the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Spokane was expected to release more detail Wednesday.

The bomb had a remote detonator and the ability to cause mass casualties, according to officials.

The bomb was defused without incident but unnerved residents of Spokane, especially those who took part in a parade whose theme was steeped in peace and nonviolence.

The attempt raised the possibility of a racial motive in a region that has been home to the white supremacist group Aryan Nations.

The bomb could have caused dozens of casualties, and was particularly nasty –

The backpack, left on a metal bench along the route of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in downtown Spokane, contained a bomb that, had it gone off, would have sprayed the crowd with lead pellets coated with rat poison. Investigators believe the bomb was placed in such a way as to maximize casualties…

Many rat poisons contain the chemical warfarin, an anticoagulant. There have been media reports that some suicide bombers in the Middle East pack their bombs with rat poison in hopes of making them more lethal.

Low Rent Hijacker

Things than make you go Hmmmmmm….

Not sure what this republican thought he was doing hijacking a Greyhound Bus…  “Yo! I got a gun! Drive me to Cuba!”

Highway hijacking: Gunman seizes Greyhound bus

An armed passenger hijacked a Greyhound bus Thursday night along a North Carolina highway, police said.

The suspect was arrested after police surrounded the vehicle when the driver pulled into a gas station, authorities said. No one was injured.

The bus with 35 passengers was headed south on Interstate 85 from Richmond, Va., to Raleigh, Greyhound spokeswoman Maureen Richmond said.

The suspect pulled a gun and ordered the driver to relinquish the bus. The driver slowed down and got off an exit, where she let off all the passengers except two, Richmond said.

North Carolina Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Gordon said troopers started following the hijacked bus at around 10:17 p.m.

The driver pulled into a gas station off U.S. 1 Business near Norlina, which is about 60 miles north of Raleigh. The remaining passengers were released and the suspect was taken into custody after he was hit with a stun gun, Gordon said.

Gordon said the passengers were taken to a nearby fire station until another bus could be dispatched to pick them up.

The Vance County Sheriff’s Office sent a bomb unit to the bus after the suspect claimed that there was a bag with an explosive device on board, Gordon said. The search was continuing late Thursday.

The suspect’s identity was not immediately released and authorities hadn’t determined a motive.

“Uhhhhh… What’s the gas mileage on this bad boy? Gimme $250 of low lead!”

Camden 5 Case Solved After 30 Years

A break in decades-old disappearance of 5 New Jersey teens

The bodies were never found. The presumed crime scene burned to the ground nearly 32 years ago. One of the three suspects is dead.

But police in Newark, N.J., said Tuesday that more than three decades after five teenage boys vanished on a sweltering summer night, they have charged two men with luring them into a home, locking them inside, and setting it on fire.

// //

The alleged motive: To punish the teens for apparently swiping marijuana from one of the suspects.

“The mystery has now been solved,” said Robert Laurino, acting prosecutor of Essex County, as he displayed two large, color photographs of the arrested men — Lee Anthony Evans, 56, and Philander Hampton, 53.Laurino said the two were “very very quiet” when police knocked on their doors Monday, cuffed them and led them into the rainy night to be jailed. Each was held on $5-million bail.

“More than likely, they did believe this was behind them,” Laurino said of the men.

The crime has long cast a cloud over a city that struggles with violent crime.

The disappearances mystified the city, frustrated the police and brought despair to relatives with each false lead.

No crime has hung “as hard and as heavy” on Newark, said Mayor Cory Booker.

The dead teens — who had been friends for years — were known as the Clinton Avenue Five, for the last place they were seen alive. Laurino said they “essentially disappeared off the face of the earth” Aug. 20, 1978.

Randy Johnson, 16; Melvin Pittman, 17, Ernest Taylor, 17; and Alvin Turner, 16, all lived in Newark. Michael McDowell, 16, came from nearby East Orange. The five would often gather to shoot hoops and sometimes took odd jobs with Evans, a local contractor.

Police said Evans had long been suspected of involvement in the case, because the boys were last seen getting into his pickup truck.

But there was no evidence, no corpses, and no witnesses to a crime — until 18 months ago, when someone came forward. The witness, whom police did not identify, cracked the case.
