Sen. Al Franken Resigns

Not sure while Democrats are resigning while Republicans committing child rape get to keep their offices.

Yet another Yellowback Dumbocrat Donkey move. Jefferson Davis Sessions is dancing in his office, because he knows the Democrat women who forced him out ain’t gonna do Jack Shit to prosecute him.

The same cowardly crowd afraid to ge after the serial molester Chumph, Uncle Tommy Clarence, or the child rapists on the right.

Al Franken announces he will resign from the Senate

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) announced on the Senate floor Thursday that he is resigning in the coming weeks following multiple allegations that he sexually harassed women.

Franken’s decision comes a day after a majority of Senate Democrats called for his resignation after determining that they could no longer tolerate his presence.

They turned on one of their party’s most popular figures with stunning swiftness, led by the Senate’s Democratic women, who were joined in short order by more than half of the Democratic caucus.

Franken struck a defiant tone during his remarks on the Senate floor.

“Some of the allegations against me simply are not true, others I remember very differently,” he said.

But Franken said the situation had become too much of a distraction and would prevent him from fully fulfilling his duties as a senator if he stayed in office.

“But this decision is not about me. It’s about the people of Minnesota,” he said. “It’s become clear that I can’t both pursue the Ethics Committee process and at the same time, remain an effective senator for them.”

He added: “I may be resigning my seat, but I am not giving up my voice.”

Kiss and Tell

Wow! As if the 2010 Republican candidates could even get more freaky! You got your garden variety Witch, a yard Nazi, latex lugerManchurian whores, and Porno plasterers

No wonder there is so little press about a conservative accusing a Gubernatorial candidate of getting her freak on in the backseat of her Escalade!

A little “backseat Mamba” with somebody you’re not married to…

Just can’t compete!

No idea whether any of the accusations against candidate Haley are true – or just your typical nasty right-wing campaign smear turned against one of their own. What is inherently consistent here is the conservative violent and puerile reaction to a person of (in Haley’s case, dubious) color winning a major political seat – much in the same way the right has reacted to the Obama Presidency. Now, Haley is no heroine – in that she chose to politically sleep with these conservative racist scumbags in the first place. But the campaign against her, by other conservatives seems more than a bit over the top…

And consistent.

Blogger offers affidavit with details about alleged affair with married SC gov. nominee Haley

In an affidavit to a group of Republican activists critical of Haley, Will Folks states he had “romantic encounters” with the state representative in her Cadillac SUV, his apartment and her Statehouse office. He said the physical relationship ended in June 2007, when he began dating the woman who is now his wife.

“Rep. Haley specifically requested that I notify her in the event this relationship was getting serious so that she could ‘back off,'” the statement reads.

Haley’s campaign again denied all of Folks’ claims, which were made without any proof.

“There is something about the days just before an election that make certain people want to get back in the newspapers,” said Haley campaign manager Tim Pearson. “These accusations weren’t true in June, they aren’t true now, and those who continue to be fixated on this nonsense really should look into getting some professional help.”

Folks, 36, provided the three-page affidavit to the two-week-old group calling itself Conservatives for Truth in Politics, which is questioning Haley on various issues. It was sworn before a South Carolina notary public and signed by both but is not filed in any court.

The conservative group is clearly critical of Haley but says it will not endorse either her or her opponent, Democratic state Sen. Vincent Sheheen. Lobbyist Larry Marchant, who came forward to say he had a one-night stand with Haley in 2007, told The Associated Press he, too, will provide an affidavit to the group.

Bishop Eddie Long Sued for Sexual Coercion of Male Church Members

Another in a long line of anti-gay church leaders…

Who turn out to be closet queens and abusers?

Let this one percolate for a while, as either damning or exculpatory evidence should be forthcoming fairly quickly.

Men allege sexual coercion by prominent Atlanta pastor

Two Georgia men have filed a lawsuit claiming that prominent Atlanta, Georgia, pastor Eddie Long coerced them into sex.

The suits, filed Tuesday in DeKalb County, Georgia, allege that Long used his position as a spiritual authority and bishop to coerce young male members and employees of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church into sex.

“Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship,” the suits allege.

Long is considered one of the nation’s top black preachers. His church has more 25,000 members, according to the suit, and was the site of Coretta Scott King’s 2006 funeral, attended by then-President George W. Bush and three previous presidents. King was the widow of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg’s suit alleges.

“Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact,” the suit says.

Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 18th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson’s suit alleges.

“Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson,” Robinson’s suit alleges.

Long spokesman Art Franklin said Tuesday that “we categorically deny the allegations.”

“It is very unfortunate that someone has taken this course of action,” he said. “Our law firm will be able to respond once attorneys have had an opportunity to review the lawsuit.”

Long frequently denounces homosexual behavior. A 2007 article in the Southern Poverty Law Center’s magazine called him “one of the most virulently homophobic black leaders in the religiously based anti-gay movement.”
