More violence from the Chumph Gestapo…
I mean…everyone but the usual sociopath Republicans know that Cruz is a creep…But the whole Congress? Feel the love…Indeed.
Sen. Lindsey Graham shocked Washington reporters Thursday night by saying that Sen. Ted Cruz is so disliked, no one in the Senate would look to convict his murderer.
“If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial is at the Senate, no one will convict you,” he said.
It was just one of his many barbs against his own party, which he said has gone “bats–t crazy.” He said his own party is in such disarray, that the country is poised to elect the “most dishonest woman” in America president.
“How can that be?” he asked. “Because my party has gone bats–t crazy.”
“Ben Carson is a nice guy,” he noted. “He tried to kill his cousin.”
The South Carolina Republican, who dropped his own bid for president early on, at one point threw up his hands and asked incredulously how he could lose against such a field of GOP candidates.
He poked fun at himself, as well, telling the crowd it was larger than any he addressed during his brief presidential bid, although he noted they were all Washington reporters and liberals.
Graham saved his most searing attack for Donald Trump.
After being forced to drop out early and after Jeb Bush ended his campaign shortly after his endorsement, he called himself the “Dr. Kevorkian” of politics, then donned a “Make America Great Again” hat, said he still hopes he has the “magic touch,” and announced his endorsement of Trump.
Sometimes on blog you get folks commenting who spew the Party line so exactly you have to wonder if they aren’t shills…
Turns out Faux News operatives have been behind some of that with a cadre of fake posters!
In a chapter focusing on how Fox utilized its notoriously ruthless public relations department in the mid-to-late 00’s, Folkenflik reports that Fox’s PR staffers would “post pro-Fox rants” in the comments sections of “negative and even neutral” blog posts written about the network. According to Folkenflik, the staffers used various tactics to cover their tracks, including setting up wireless broadband connections that “could not be traced back” to the network. From the book itself:
Fox PR staffers were expected to counter not just negative and even neutral blog postings but the anti-Fox comments beneath them. One former staffer recalled using twenty different aliases to post pro-Fox rants. Another had one hundred. Several employees had to acquire a cell phone thumb drive to provide a wireless broadband connection that could not be traced back to a Fox News or News Corp account.Folkenflik’s book has already roiled News Corp with its account of Wall Street Journal staffers who found their attempts to report on the company’s phone hacking scandal met with roadblock after roadblock. (The company denied the account.)
The newest conservative Great Black Dope isn’t quite turning out to be the perfect Uncle Tom figure of a Herman Cain or Allen West…
Of course, it’s been a tough year for black conservative lawn ornaments. Herman Cain imploding as a sexual predator, Allen West exposed as a serial abuser. And the black MILF candidate,Jennifer Carroll of Florida, didn’t quite follow in the footsteps of the Sno’ Ho’…first being accused of being a closet queen, and now under investigation for financial scamming resulting in her resigning her job at Lt. Governor.
And along comes Dr Ben Carlson… The latest in a long line of Toms… Or is he?
The Faux News commentator, Megan Kelly here tries her best to get Ben to buckdance. Carlson largely doesn’t rise to the bait. She looks at one point that if he will don the black conservative victim meme, she’d strip off her clothes, open her legs and have her way with him. About the best she gets out of him for hr breathless prodding is a single “plantation” meme, which completely discredits his argument about dropping name calling and sitting down to talk like adults. For anyone unfamiliar the “plantation” analogy is racist conservative speak for the N word.
Carlson at one point discusses poverty, at which point Megan near orgasmically immediately zooms in to the inner city, black population, ignoring the fact or rural and suburban poverty which fits in every other social dysfunction … but isn’t primarily black. After all, Carlson is black – so he must be speaking about those dread Negroes in the ghetto!
That’s not what he said.
Let’s hope for Megan’s sake she got a chance to change clothes, and the set crew swapped in a dry chair before the next segment.
Notice the crowd reaction to this one …
First – the Tea Baggers griped about Obama ordering US Special Forces to take out Bin Lauden…
Now – they are at it again.
Plastic patriots waving their little plastic flags. More of an enemy of America that the foreign Al Quaeda.
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is condemning the Obama administration for killing an American born al-Qaida operative without a trial.
Paul, a Texas congressman known for libertarian views, says the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki on Yemeni soil amounts to an “assassination.” Paul warned the American people not to casually accept such violence against U.S. citizens, even those with strong ties to terrorism.
Anwar al-Awlaki was considered one of the most influential al-Qaida operatives wanted by the United States. U.S. and Yemen officials say he was killed in a U.S. air strike targeting his convoy Friday morning.
Paul made the comments to reporters after a campaign stop Friday at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire. He said America’s leaders must think hard about “assassinating American citizens without charges.”
Go to any Tea Bagger or Republican site and the first thing you will see is a their complaint about taxpayers funding “lush” union pensions for public workers…
Problem is – that’s an outright lie.
Gov. Scott Walker says he wants state workers covered by collective bargaining agreements to “contribute more” to their pension and health insurance plans.
Accepting Gov. Walker’ s assertions as fact, and failing to check, created the impression that somehow the workers are getting something extra, a gift from taxpayers. They are not.
Out of every dollar that funds Wisconsin’ s pension and health insurance plans for state workers, 100 cents comes from the state workers.
How can that be? Because the “contributions” consist of money that employees chose to take as deferred wages – as pensions when they retire – rather than take immediately in cash. The same is true with the health care plan. If this were not so a serious crime would be taking place, the gift of public funds rather than payment for services.
Thus, state workers are not being asked to simply “contribute more” to Wisconsin’ s retirement system (or as the argument goes, “pay their fair share” of retirement costs as do employees in Wisconsin’ s private sector who still have pensions and health insurance). They are being asked to accept a cut in their salaries so that the state of Wisconsin can use the money to fill the hole left by tax cuts and reduced audits of corporations in Wisconsin.
The labor agreements show that the pension plan money is part of the total negotiated compensation. The key phrase, in those agreements I read (emphasis added), is: “The Employer shall contribute on behalf of the employee.” This shows that this is just divvying up the total compensation package, so much for cash wages, so much for paid vacations, so much for retirement, etc.
The collective bargaining agreements for prosecutors, cops and scientists are all on-line.
