Eminen evicerates the Chumphshit at the BET Awards…
Seems this guy has been inside a deep dark closet for a bit too long…
Phil Lewis, the lead singer for L.A. Guns, paid tribute to Prince over the weekend by insulting the African-American artists as “one-dimensional” rappers.
“I don’t wanna bum you out, you know who just died,” Lewis told a crowd at Fish Head Cantina in Arbutus, Maryland, according to Metal Insider. “I remember when we were working on Cocked & Loaded, we were on tour, and they said there was a venue that we could play in Minnesota.”
“And I didn’t know too much about it at the time. But after I saw the [Purple Rain] movie, and I got it; I was with the program.”
“We were all into that Prince, right?! Purple Rain,” Lewis continued. “It was so cool, because, you know, you had all your heavy shit, and then you had the pop shit, and there was Prince doing his own f*cking thing.”
The L.A. Guns singer argued that the “problem is, right now — and I’m not gonna be a racist about it — but black people are all one-dimensional.”
“We need more Princes, man,” he opined. “We need less f*cking rappers and more people like Prince. There, I said it.”
Years after the fact a man has stepped forward to claim that he shot Tupac Shakur as part of a murder for hire plot. No big surprises here…
Just business as usual.
A man named Dexter Isaac has claimed responsibility for shooting Tupac Shakur in Manhattan’s Quad Studios in November 1994, setting off a chain reaction of violent reprisals that resulted in the eventual murder of both Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., who was originally blamed for the assault.
Isaac, who is currently serving a life prison sentence plus 30 years for murder and robbery, released a statement to AllHipHop.com, explaining that he was paid $2,500 for the shooting by James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, a music industry figure who is now the CEO of Czar Entertainment and the manager of the Game.
In the statement, Isaac apologized to Tupac and Biggie’s families and said that he kept quiet until now because the statute of limitations for an assault charge has expired and he cannot be charged for the attack. Isaac also expressed regret for getting involved with Rosemond, whom he refers to as a “sucker.” Rosemond is currently a fugitive wanted by the DEA and federal marshals for his involvement with a cocaine trafficking operation.
Did I say Rap was dead?
SALT LAKE CITY – A rap by four teenagers at a McDonald’s has gotten them a bad rap in one Utah city.
The teens were cited by American Fork police earlier this week for disorderly conduct after they rapped their order at a McDonald’s drive-through
The teens said they were imitating a popular video on YouTube. They rapped their order, which begins with, “I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce …” once quickly before repeating it more slowly.
Spenser Dauwalder said employees at the restaurant told him and his friends they were holding up the line and needed to order or leave.
The 18-year-old said nobody was in line. He and his three 17-year-old friends left without buying anything.
American Fork Police Sgt. Gregg Ludlow says a manager wrote down the car’s license plate number and called police. The teens were later cited by officers at a high school parking lot outside a volleyball match.
“We thought, you know, just teenagers out having fun,” Dauwalder told KSL Newsradio. “We didn’t think it would escalate to that.”
