Busted! FBI Raided Paul Manafort’s Home

Federal agents recently conducted a pre-dawn raid at a house owned by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

The Washington Post reports that FBI agents raided Manfort’s home in Alexandria, Virginia, late last month. The agents were armed with a search warrant that they used to seize documents and “other materials,” the Post’s sources say.

“The search warrant was wide-ranging and FBI agents working with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III departed the home with various records,” the Post reports. “The raid came as Manafort has been voluntarily producing documents to congressional committees investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. The search warrant indicates investigators may have argued to a federal judge they had reason to believe Manafort could not be trusted to turn over all records in response to a grand jury subpoena.”

Manafort, who served for several months as Trump’s campaign chairman before being ousted over his ties to Kremlin-backed political figures in Ukraine, is seen as a key figure in the ongoing investigation into whether Trump’s campaign colluded with Russian officials to interfere with the 2016 presidential campaign.

Manafort allies tell the Post that special prosecutor Robert Mueller may be building a case against Manafort that has nothing to do with Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, in the hopes that he would flip and give them information on other members within Trump’s inner circle.

Manafort’s allies fear that Mueller hopes to build a case against Manafort unrelated to the 2016 campaign, in hopes that the former campaign operative would provide information against others in Trump’s inner circle in exchange for lessening his own legal exposure.

Putin’s Bitch Kills His First American, Numerous Women and Children

The Chumph directing any sort of Military Action is like driving down a road with the windows blacked out, only using the GPS for guidance. GPS is where you want to get to – Intelligence is that you are on the wrong side of a the highway and a semi is barreling around the curve head on at 70 MPH. In the Military, bad shidt happens in fighting a war even with good intelligence and gets people killed. Ignoring the intelligence entirely, as the Chumph does, damn near guarantees failure. The Chumph POS is totally unqualified to lead.

So are the Republicans going to squeal about this like they did Benghazi? Of course not – the killing of American Soldiers, women , and children is ok – its the Party’s interest over American lives.

Trump OK’d Yemen raid without sufficient intel — leaving SEAL and child dead: military officials

The U.S. military said on Wednesday it was looking into whether more civilians were killed in a raid on al Qaeda in Yemen on the weekend, in the first operation authorized by President Donald Trump as commander in chief.

U.S. Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens was killed in the raid on a branch of al Qaeda, also known as AQAP, in al Bayda province, which the Pentagon said also killed 14 militants. However, medics at the scene said about 30 people, including 10 women and children, were killed.

U.S. Central Command said in a statement that an investigating team had “concluded regrettably that civilian non-combatants were likely killed” during Sunday’s raid. It said children may have been among the casualties.

Central Command said its assessment “seeks to determine if there were any still-undetected civilian casualties in the ferocious firefight.”

U.S. military officials told Reuters that Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations.

As a result, three officials said, the attacking SEAL team found itself dropping onto a reinforced al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger than expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists.

The Pentagon directed queries about the officials’ characterization of the raid to U.S. Central Command, which pointed only to its statement on Wednesday.

“CENTCOM asks for operations we believe have a good chance for success and when we ask for authorization we certainly believe there is a chance of successful operations based on our planning,” CENTCOM spokesman Colonel John Thomas said.

“Any operation where you are going to put operators on the ground has inherent risks,” he said.

The U.S. officials said the extremists’ base had been identified as a target before the Obama administration left office on Jan. 20, but then-President Barack Obama held off approving a raid ahead of his departure.

A White House official said the operation was thoroughly vetted by the previous administration and that the previous defense secretary had signed off on it in January. The raid was delayed for operational reasons, the White House official said.

The military officials who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity said “a brutal firefight” killed Owens and at least 15 Yemeni women and children. One of the dead was the 8-year-old daughter of Anwar al-Awlaki, a militant killed by a 2011 U.S. drone strike….

One of the three U.S. officials said on-the-ground surveillance of the compound was “minimal, at best.”

“The decision was made … to leave it to the incoming administration, partly in the hope that more and better intelligence could be collected,” that official said.

As Sunday’s firefight intensified, the raiders called in Marine helicopter gunships and Harrier jump jets, and then two MV-22 Osprey vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to extract the SEALs.

One of the two suffered engine failure, two of the officials said, and hit the ground so hard that two crew members were injured, and one of the Marine jets had to launch a precision-guided bomb to destroy it.

Cops Raid House …Because Man Had Dreds

Guy is at home asleep with his wife and two kids. Suddenly there are flashing lights everywhere and a cop on a bullhorn shouting for him to come out with his hands up….

Cops pull innocent family from home at gunpoint because dad has dreadlocks like murder suspect

An Illinois family was the subject of a racist police raid on Friday as officers were searching for a murder suspect. The police, the DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies, and the Sycamore police showed up at the family home of Eric Nabors and surrounded the place with guns and dogs, according to the Elgin Patch.

The family was in bed when police surrounded their home with rifles and pulled the man and his wife, their son, 10, and daughter, 13 out of their home with their hands up.

The father, Eric, apparently matched the profile of the man they were searching for; however, Nabors was also a victim of racial profiling by police.

He told ABC News, “I stepped out and I took not even three steps out the door, and I see a whole bunch of people running saying, ‘He’s got a gun.’”

He continued, “I didn’t have nothing on me, nothing in my hand, I don’t own a gun. After they searched me, then they told me what they were looking for. ‘We’re looking for a black male suspect with dreads for a possible homicide in DeKalb.’”

Nabors said the police did not believe he was innocent until running his name through their system. His daughter Briana told ABC 7 Chicago, “It’s terrifying to see like all the guns being pointed at me and my family and my brother.”

The kids’ mother Deana Brown told the station, “I feel like it could have been better done. They could have had better intel, they could have had a better description before they put my family through all of this.” The family is now considering whether to file a lawsuit.

Police arrested the two suspects the next day. Both were charged with murder in the first degree and weapons offenses.

In 2016, police have killed a total of 856 people, according to the Guardian‘s The Counted. Of the total victims, 204 are black. Racialized police violence and profiling has been an serious issue facing the country.

F.B.I. Readies for Mortgage Fraud Clampdown

Mortgage fraudsters beware. The F.B.I. is gearing up for a nationwide clampdown in a new effort to slow the kind of lending practices that led to the housing crash of 2008, The Financial Times reported.

Hundreds of people are expected to be arrested in the sweep, which will start as early as next week, The FT said, citing two people with knowledge of the operation. An F.B.I. spokesman declined to comment to the newspaper.

Charges are expected to be leveled over offenses ranging from pushing borrowers to lie about their income on mortgage applications to providing homeowners with false information about foreclosure rescue programs, the newspaper said.

The F.B.I. has set up 23 local mortgage fraud task forces around the United States since October 2008 with the mandate to limit the illegal misstatement, misrepresentation or omission of material facts on mortgage applications.

The FT noted it was mortgage fraud that led to the expansion of the housing bubble and eventually accounted for its catastrophic burst, as loans were handed out to borrowers with unsubstantiated incomes and low credit ratings.
