Michael Steele Explains…On Rachel Maddow Show

This one is pretty good. An interview of Michael Steele by Maddow. Unfortunately, the interview –  to the point this clip ends, dodges the central issue of the motivations behind the folks who started the anti-Steele campaign. And how the majority of the RNC could come up with totally different views of Steele’s “success”.

Anther interesting issue is this:

Black RNC Members Not Backing Steele

Don’t expect the Republican National Committee’s two black members to support Chairman Michael Steele in his re-election bid in January.

Ada Fisher, the black RNC committeewoman from North Carolina, has been an outspoken critic of Steele since she voted against him and for former South Carolina GOP Chairman Katon Dawson in 2009.

“Nobody asked the black members of the RNC what they felt, and I don’t know that the other people were courted or asked for their votes,” she said of that contest.

Steele, a former Maryland lieutenant governor, Senate candidate and state party chairman, was touted as Republicans’ response to the first black president, Democrat Barack Obama. And even more recently, Republicans see Steele promoting his race as an asset to the party.

When Steele announced his bid for re-election on a conference call, he concluded by saying, “Who you elect as our next chairman will speak volumes about our willingness to truly be the party of Lincoln,” according to the Washington Times. A prominent member of the RNC, James Bopp Jr., complained to the Times that Steele had used “the race card.” Steele responded by calling Bopp “an idiot” and accusing him of bitterness over a consulting contract the RNC canceled.

The racial tension comes after elections that saw huge Republican gains, including two black Republicans elected to the House. Reps.-elect Tim Scott of South Carolina and Allen West of Florida are the first black Republicans to serve in the House since Oklahoma Rep. J.C. Watts retired in 2003. Both Scott and West declined interviews for this story.

The chairman may be looking for new allies. Yet even the two black members of the RNC — out of 168 total members — have never rallied around Steele. Fisher, a retired physician, and Glenn McCall, a retired banker who serves as the committeeman from South Carolina, both supported Dawson for chairman of the RNC on all six ballots in 2009. Dawson, who was criticized for his former membership in a club that didn’t allow African-Americans, finished second to Steele. Fellow black Committeeman Keith Butler from Michigan, who has since left the committee, supported former Michigan GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis.

One of the central themes of Steele’s term was to make the Republican Party more inclusive – which included supporting the record number of black candidates running as Republicans, and resulting in the election of the first 2 black candidates to federal office in over a decade… Which were only the 3rd and 4th black Republican candidates elected out of the 6,525 House elections, and 500 Senate elections since Raygun. Yet black Republicans on the RNC didn’t support Steele…

Crabs in a barrel…Indeed.

Tea Bagger Republican Senate Candidate From Kentucky, Rand Paul Supports Segregation

This was a veritable train wreck. Rand Paul is the son of Congressman Ron Paul whose racist associations with the C of CC and white nationalist groups are well documented. Rand Paul takes the Libertarian view that the Government cannot regulate discrimination by private businesses – which as Rachel points out during this interview means that businesses, primarily in the South by the time of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 would be able to legally exclude Minorities as customers or workers on the basis of being private enterprise…

Ergo the Bus Boycott of Montgomery, and the Wallgreen lunch counter protests would have been illegal…

On the part of the Civil Rights workers.

What this is, is a thinly veiled regurgitation of David Duke’s “new new new” KKK in suits philosophy – sometimes expressed in their terminology as a “Right of Association”.

“Gop is a Lie Factory!”

Dayam! About fornicating time a Democrat got some cajones!

Now, I really don’t care what the MSM is trying to spin about “Obama’s Loss of the Olympics” – because last week marked something important -

  1. A Democrat being cheered for telling it like it is.
  2. Conservatives showing their true racist colors in cheering for America’s loss of the 2016 Olympics.

It’s more important to conservatives to get a shot in on Obama, than the welfare of our country.

The thing that every red blooded, patriotic, non racist American is going to remember this week, regardless of what the talking airheads on the MSM try and spin is this -

Conservatives and Republicans consumed by hatred…

Cheered when America lost.

Naaaaaaahhhh! There couldn’t possibly be any similarity here!

More Information On Lynching In Kentucky

Maddow breaks additional evidence in the case of a Census worker found lynched in Kentucky -

The pregnant elephant of a question here is whether this man’s killing had anything to do with the right-wing crazies that have been enticed out of the woodwork by the Republicans Party and their propaganda outlet, Faux News. We have a similar circumstance in 1994 with the Murrah bombing by Timothy McVeigh in Oklahoma, fueled and abetted by the over the top hate Americans rhetoric of the very same right wing outlets and propagandists.

None dare call it… Treason.

Tom Ridge… Meet Rachel Maddow

I wonder if this one will leave a mark?

You don’t go on Rachel’s show and BS.

Connecting the dots on health care opposition

Who exactly are the folks behind opposition to Health Care Reform, and funding the Tea Baggers?

The New American Genocide – Health Care

In an America, where minority infant mortality rates are worse than in some third world countries. and 2.5 times or worse than whites – is it any wonder may of the same people who oppose restructuring American Health Care to meet the standards enjoyed by folks in other first world nations are racially motivated?

I mean – after all, the American Health Care system has performed as a cooperating arm of the Genocide of black and brown folks in this country since slavery, right on through medical experimentation like the Tuskegee syphilis experiment, involuntary sterilization of minority women…

And today where drugs are often human tested in third world countries, and there are huge differentials in the quality of care recieved by people of color…

And white folks. Even when those folks have exactly the same conditions, and exactly the same medical insurance coverage.

So is it any surprise a Florida Doctor, opposing Health Care reform would come up with the following racist image ?

Obama, as a Witch Doctor...

Obama, as a Witch Doctor...

Rachel Maddow, who is fast becoming my favorite TV personality takes the intersection between opposition to Health Care Reform, and racism…

So… When these folks are shouting “Socialism” and their opposition to “ObamaCare”, their opposition isn’t really about as much about money – as their”God given right” to continue to murder black and brown babies… Continue reading

Maddow Rips The New Jim Crow – “White men built America”

This one comes courtesy of Tafaraji, in reponse to my post Rachel Maddow Rips Pat Buchanan Over Sotomayor Racism. It is too juicy not to make a post.

The list of contributions, right on down to the original framework for the Constitution, by folks of color in this country are too long to list. That Pat would somehow feel these folks had little to do with the country we are today, is sick…

And racist.

Rachel Maddow Rips Pat Buchanan Over Sotomayor Racism

Maddow rips Republican Pat Buchanan a new one!

According to Pat Buchanan – “White men built this country”.

That is, they built everything except the roads, the canals, the farms, the railroads, and the economy which was based on slave labor…

The issue here isn’t Pat’s racism, of which there are ample examples – the issue is why this has any currency in the mainstream anymore. Pat is identifying the Republican Party as the “White People’s Party” in opposition to the “Mud People’s Party” AKA – the Democrats.

Pat is a true conservative.

Pat’s sob story for white guys would be touching, except for a question Maddow doesn’t ask. If white guys feel disadvantaged by the appointment of Sotomayor as one of 9 Justices on the Supreme Court…

Exactly how do black and brown people feel about a court dominated by conservative racists like Roberts, Scalia, Alito, and Uncle Clarence?

I mean – as a black person I know there isn’t a freaking prayer of getting a fair trial from a conservative appointed judge. That is part of the “Black Tax” of being a citizen of this country – and it doesn’t really matter whether you are appearing before the Court in a criminal or Civil case.  If you are a businessman, part of the “Black Tax” is the fact that you have less of a chance in winning a Patent Infringement or Contract Dispute against a white owned corporation – for no other reason than your color…

Simply because of those conservative, white, male Judges – regardless of the merit of your case.

And that doesn’t even get into a Jury Trial.

So what Pat is really saying, is racism and discrimination only count if it is against white men – even if, as in this case, the only evidence against Justice Sotomayor is the fact she isn’t a white male.
