Republican Borg Try “Assimilate of Die”

Star Trek fans will remember the Borg. Seems they have moved to Texas, and as a Collective have determined that those different from them need to be erased…

Texas GOP adopts platform of erasing minorities by ‘assimilation’ into an ‘American identity’

The Republican Part of Texas voted over the weekend to adopt a platform that, if enacted, would strip reproductive rights from women regardless of federal law, would serve to shame LGBT people for not living “an acceptable alternative lifestyle,” and see minorities assume an “American identity.”

As the Houston Press noted on Monday, the 26-page platform report was approved unanimously by every Republican state delegate on Friday.

Under the heading of “Strengthening Families, Protecting Life, and Promoting Health,” the platform explains how state GOP lawmakers are expected to deny equal rights for LGBT people and to “abolish abortion.”

“We call upon the Texas Legislature to enact legislation stopping the murder of unborn children; and to ignore and refuse to enforce any and all federal statutes, regulations, executive orders, and court rulings, which would deprive an unborn child of the right to life,” the resolution states. “We support the elimination of public funding or the use of public facilities to advocate, perform, or support elective abortions, embryonic stem cell research, research on fetal tissue, or human cloning.”

The platform sets a goal of “completely eliminating public funding for Planned Parenthood” and new “laws that restrict and regulate abortion.”

Suggesting that the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision legalizing same-sex marriage was unconstitutional, the platform calls on the “Governor and other elected officials of the state of Texas should assert our Tenth Amendment right and reject the Supreme Court ruling.”

Sexual education for students should consist of “abstinence until marriage,” and should not include “policies and curriculum that teach alternate lifestyles including homosexuality, transgender and other non-traditional lifestyles as normal,” according to the party platform.

Additionally, the party calls for racial and ethnic groups to shed their cultural identities in favor of an “American identity.”

“We favor strengthening our common American identity, which includes the contribution and assimilation of diverse racial and ethnic groups,” the platform declares. “We encourage non-English speaking students to transition, via best practices, to English within one year, allowing them to quickly assimilate and succeed in American society.”

Creators of Fake Planned Parenthood Videos Indicted

It really is past time that the justice system goes after these scumbags that create fake videos destroying peoples lives. They let Jame O’Keeffe off with it when he manufactured videos of Acorn, and they let Brietbart get away with it destroying a woman’s life.

I think it’s time to lock the scum up in prisons with other criminals for a long, long time.

Creator of anti-Planned Parenthood videos faces felony charge

A Houston grand jury that was investigating accusations of criminal misconduct against Planned Parenthood on Monday instead indicted the leader of an anti-abortion group that recorded covert videos of the organization’s employees.

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson said David Daleiden, the director of the Center for Medical Progress, faces a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to buying human tissue.

Sandra Merritt, one of Daleiden’s employees, was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record.

The grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast of any wrongdoing.

“We were called upon to investigate allegations of criminal conduct by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast,” Anderson said in a statement. “As I stated at the outset of this investigation, we must go where the evidence leads us. All the evidence uncovered in the course of this investigation was presented to the grand jury. I respect their decision on this difficult case.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said, however, that the inspector general of the state’s Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas attorney general’s office would continue to investigate Planned Parenthood’s actions. “Nothing about today’s announcement in Harris County impacts the state’s ongoing investigation,” Abbott said in a statement. “The State of Texas will continue to protect life, and I will continue to support legislation prohibiting the sale or transfer of fetal tissue.”

The indictment did not reveal how the Center for Medical Process manipulated documents. But earlier this month, Planned Parenthood filed a federal lawsuit against the video creators, asserting the group broke several federal laws in its campaign to defame the health-care centers with mail fraud, invasion of privacy, illegal secret recording and trespassing.

A warrant for Daleiden was issued Monday evening, according to the Harris County District Clerk’s website.

Who are other people in the group that produced the videos who might also be guilty of felony crimes?

  • Troy Newman, listed as the center’s secretary, is president of the Kansas-based anti-abortion group Operation Rescue and has posed as a reporter to record conversations with abortion providers in the past.
  • Albin Rhomberg, the center’s chief financial officer, was arrested in 1991 for disrupting a church service during the inauguration of Gov. Pete Wilson, an abortion-rights Republican. In 2005, he led an unsuccessful attempt to pass a California ballot measure requiring doctors to notify parents or guardians before performing abortions on minors.
  • Nichole Surkala, who is listed as the center’s contact if it is sued, was convicted in California in 2007 of willful cruelty to her 12-year-old son, according to court papers. Police found she kept a horse and seven dogs in a house in Modesto that was filled with animal feces and rotting produce.

Ex-Soldier Saved Lives With Dying Breath at Planned Parenthood Massacre

The right-wing extremists leading the Republican Party are now in full backpedal mode after one of their disciples murdered 3 people and shot 9 at a Planned Parenthood center in Colorado. This is a direct result of the hate speech directed at Liberals and Minorities. This brave ex-Soldier perhaps prevented the toll from being worse…

Iraq vet used dying moments to warn others after getting shot by Planned Parenthood terrorist

Ke’Arre Stewart, the Iraq War veteran gunned down by right-wing terrorist Robert Louis Dear on Friday, used his dying moments to tell people inside the building to take cover.

According to NBC News, Stewart, 29, had stepped outside the building to use his cell phone when he was shot by Dear, who killed two other people and injured nine in the attack. Stewart, a devoted husband and father of two, rushed into the building in spite of his injuries and shouted for everyone to take cover.

His brother Leyonte Chandler told Today on Monday morning that Stewart’s military training must have compelled him to help others in the line of fire.

“I believe that’s his military instinct, you know: Leave no soldier behind, leave no civilian behind, just leave no one behind,” Chandler said. “So he ran back inside, trying to help out others. I don’t know where he was at, as far as how many more breaths he had, but he knew. And before his time ran out I guess that was his main priority…to help and save other lives.”

“He tried to run back inside the building — well, he did — and tell the other people inside, you know, ‘Take cover, get down.’ People started taking cover, hiding in bathrooms and whatnot,” Chandler recounted.

“People were terrified, people were crying and scared, seeing other people get shot,” he continued. “I believe my brother put his life on the line to prevent that. That’s definitely heroic.”

During his five-hour rampage at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood location, Dear killed police officer Garrett Swasey and 29-year-old mother of two Jennifer Markovsky.

When police apprehended Dear, he revealed to them that the shooting was motivated by his belief that Planned Parenthood is engaged in the illegal sale of fetal organs, a right-wing myth propagated by the anti-choice movement and anti-abortion extremist groups like the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), which released a series of misleading videos accusing the health provider of running a ruthless, bloodthirsty trade of embryonic human tissue.

“No more baby parts!” ranted Dear to police.

Anti-abortion conservatives like presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz have tried to defray blame for the shooting, making false claims that Dear was a “transgendered leftist activist.”

However, many are calling on the media and public officials to call Dear what he really is, a right-wing, Christian terrorist.

Ted Cruz Gets Smacked Down by Fellow Republicans

This has been a long time coming…The Adults are moving to take control back.

Cruz sternly rebuked by GOP

Ted Cruz can’t even get a protest vote in the Senate anymore.

On Monday night, Cruz’s colleagues ignored his attempt to disrupt Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s efforts to fund the government without attacking Planned Parenthood. In an unusual rebuke, even fellow Republicans denied him a “sufficient second” that would have allowed him a roll call vote.

Then, his Republican colleagues loudly bellowed “no” when Cruz sought a voice vote, a second repudiation that showed how little support Cruz has: Just one other GOP senator — Utah’s Mike Lee — joined with Cruz as he was overruled by McConnell and his deputies.

It was the second time that Cruz had been denied a procedural courtesy that’s routinely granted to senators in both parties. The first came after he called McConnell a liar this summer.

Virginia Republican – “Disabled kids are God’s punishment”

Virginia has a new Republican Governor, last seen making a fool of himself in responding to  president Obama’s  State of the Union Address in January. Now, this guy Bob McDonnell campaigned as a moderate Republican, but since taking office has lurched over to the far right. I have a feeling, there is going to be a pushback.

Now, this clown – State Delegate Bob Marshall of Manassas, is about par for the course for the ignorance level of Virginia’s redneck Republican faction .

Legislator: Disabled kids are God’s punishment

State Delegate Bob Marshall of Manassas says disabled children are God’s punishment to women who have aborted their first pregnancy.

He made that statement Thursday at a press conference to oppose state funding for Planned Parenthood.

“The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children,” said Marshall, a Republican.

“In the Old Testament, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There’s a special punishment Christians would suggest.”

Marshall was among more than 20 people, mostly Christian pastors and clergy, who gathered for the press conference in the General Assembly Building.

They called on Virginia officials to eliminate state funding for Planned Parenthood because the organization provides abortions

Gosh, you mean Sarah Palin’s (AKA the Sno’ Ho’) Down’s Syndrome kid, Trig –  is because she had an abortion? Read the rest of this entry »
