Majority of Under 30 See the Chumph as Illigitimate

The Chumph is an Illegitimate POS, who should be tried for Treason, and if convicted…Hung. Just like Saddam Hussein.

What we need to do with our traitor… After a fair trial and conviction, of course.

Majority of young adults in US view Trump’s presidency as ‘illegitimate’: poll

A new poll says that the majority of Americans between the ages of 18 and 30 view Donald Trump as an “illegitimate president,” according to TheHill.com.

“The GenForward poll reported by The Associated Press found that 57 percent of young adults see Trump’s presidency as illegitimate, including three-quarters of black respondents and large majorities of Latinos and Asians,” wrote Brooke Seipel on Saturday.

The poll showed that 53 percent of white young American adults feel that Trump occupies the Oval Office legitimately, but 55 percent of those respondents rated his job performance negatively.

A meager 22 percent of young adults approve of the president’s job performance with 62 percent disapproving.

The poll included 1,833 respondents queried between Feb. 16 and Mar. 6. It was conducted by the Black Youth Project at the University of Chicago in collaboration with The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Polls show that many millennials are more progressive than their parents’ generation and identify as liberal much more readily than Americans over 40.

Who The World Think Is a Great Leader

Check this out…

And all the azzwipe trite-wingers in America hating on Obama!

Global Surveys Show Strong Support For Hillary Clinton

Russian poll respondents like Donald Trump, but they’re the only ones.

The president of the United States has undeniable influence throughout the world. Even though they don’t get to vote, global citizens have preferences ― often strong preferences ― about who Americans should elect.

The results this year aren’t surprising. Majorities of people polled in many countries prefer Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump ― except in Russia.

A survey done in August and September by Worldwide Independent Network of Market Researchers and Gallup International asked respondents in 45 countries who they would vote for if they could vote in the U.S. election. The only country that Clinton didn’t win was Russia, where respondents preferred Trump by a 23-point margin.

No other country was even close to Russia’s numbers. The U.S. was the second-most favorable to Trump in the survey, giving Clinton only a 7-point margin over the Republican. China preferred Clinton by a 9-point margin. Every other country gave Clinton a lead of at least 20 points.

Ipsos Global asked panelists in 25 countries who is likely to win the election in its October poll. The only places where more people thought Trump would win than Clinton were Serbia and China. The Republican was favored by a 10 percent margin in Serbia and less than 4 points in China. In both countries, over 30 percent of survey respondents said they didn’t know. Russia wasn’t one of the countries surveyed by Ipsos.

The most favorable results for Clinton from Ipsos were in Mexico, South Korea, Norway, Chile and Colombia. Over 80 percent of respondents in those countries said Clinton will win.

Certainly some of the global lean to Clinton can be explained by negative impressions of Trump. In August, a Pew Research Center survey of 15 countries reported that most respondents weren’t confident in Trump’s abilities to lead internationally. His highest marks were in China and Italy, in which just over 20 percent of respondents said they were confident in his capacity to lead on foreign affairs. In Greece, only 3 percent of poll takers placed any confidence in Trump.

Clinton’s numbers were much higher, as were Barack Obama’s. German Chancellor Angela Merkel did better than Trump as well. Even Russian president Vladimir Putin was generally more trusted than Trump.

NY Times Obliterates Trump for “Racist Lies”

Wow! What a takedown!

Mr. Trump’s Applause Lies

America has just lived through another presidential campaign week dominated by Donald Trump’s racist lies. Here’s a partial list of false statements: The United States is about to take in 250,000 Syrian refugees; African-Americans are responsible for most white homicides; and during the 9/11 attacks, “thousands and thousands” of people in an unnamed “Arab” community in New Jersey “were cheering as that building was coming down.”

In the Republican field, Mr. Trump has distinguished himself as fastest to dive to the bottom. If it’s a lie too vile to utter aloud, count on Mr. Trump to say it, often. It wins him airtime, and retweets through the roof.

This phenomenon is in fact nothing new. Politicians targeting minorities, foreigners or women have always existed in the culture. And every generation or so, at least one demagogue surfaces to fan those flames.

Here’s Donald Trump on Sunday: When the Syrian refugees are going to start pouring into this country, we don’t know if they’re ISIS, we don’t know if it’s a Trojan horse. And I definitely want a database and other checks and balances. We want to go with watch lists. We want to go with databases. And we have no choice. We have no idea who’s being sent in here. This could be the — it’s probably not, but it could be the great Trojan horse of all time, where they come in.”

Here’s Joseph McCarthy in 1950: “Today we are engaged in a final, all-out battle between communistic atheism and Christianity. The modern champions of communism have selected this as the time, and ladies and gentlemen, the chips are down — they are truly down.”

Here’s Donald Trump last Tuesday: “We’re going to have to do things that we never did before. And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule. And certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy. And so we’re going to have to do certain things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago.”

Dixiecrat George Wallace

Here’s George Wallace in 1963: “We must redefine our heritage, re-school our thoughts in the lessons our forefathers knew so well, in order to function and to grow and to prosper. We can no longer hide our head in the sand and tell ourselves that the ideology of our free fathers is not being attacked and is not being threatened by another idea … for it is.”

Mr. Trump relies on social media to spread his views. This is convenient because there’s no need to respond to questions about his fabrications. That makes it imperative that other forms of media challenge him.

Instead, as Mr. Trump stays at the top of the Republican field, it’s become a full-time job just running down falsehoods like the phony crime statistics he tweeted, which came from a white supremacist group.

Yet Mr. Trump is regularly rewarded with free TV time, where he talks right over anyone challenging him, and doubles down when called out on his lies.

This isn’t about shutting off Mr. Trump’s bullhorn. His right to spew nonsense is protected by the Constitution, but the public doesn’t need to swallow it. History teaches that failing to hold a demagogue to account is a dangerous act. It’s no easy task for journalists to interrupt Mr. Trump with the facts, but it’s an important one.

Black Podcasters Replacing Talk Radio

When I saw this one, my initial thought was “Podcasting”…How 90’s!” However there is obviously a gap not being filled by commercial radio, with worldwide reach, and a low cost of entry for the ‘caster…And an audience, principally of Millennial connecteds.

This obviously is the author’s take on the best black Podcasts, and go to the site to see the rest.

11 Black Podcasts Leading The Golden Age Of Audio

You could say that we’re experiencing a kind of renaissance in podcasting. While mainstays like Radiolab, This American Life (and wildly popular spinoff, Serial) have driven the world of storytelling and conversation, a new crop of interesting, innovative, and engaging podcast shows have emerged in the last couple years. Among those new shows are podcasts hosted by black people who are introducing interesting perspectives in the still very white, very male podcasting world.

There are countless podcasts with black hosts on politics and pop culture that are changing the game, but below are 11 shows that exemplify the current Golden Age of black podcasting:

1. The Read

It’s safe to say that no “best podcasts” list would be complete without The Read, so let’s just get this one out the way. Hosted by YouTuber Kid Fury and his BFF, writer Crissle West, each weekly show features hot topics, listener letters, and a “read” where the pair cuss out everything from f***kboys to rude Best Buy workers. If you’re not listening to this show already, why?  The duo perfectly balances hilarious pop culture commentary with observations on real-life issues like police brutality.

3. Black Girls Talking

On this podcast, four intelligent and endlessly witty black women (Alesia, Fatima, Aurelia and Ramou) meet up for topical conversations on pop culture, politics, and race. It’s a simple but powerful format, and the ladies have had amazing guests come through to chat, including journalist Janet Mock and comedienne Charla Lauriston.

4. Black Girl Nerds

Black Girl Nerds fills a much-ignored niche in the podcasting world, appealing to black women everywhere who love all things geeky. An offshoot of the blog of the same name created by Jamie Broadnax, the show generally delves into an eclectic range of topics. On any given week Broadnax and guests may discuss Afrofuturism, Sleepy Hollow, cosplaying while black, and Jem nostalgia. It’s a fun, badly-needed reminder that not all black women are alike.

6. The Combat Jack Show

The Combat Jack show is the number one hip-hop podcast, and rightly so. Each week a wide array of personalities including Talib Kweli, Deray McKesson, Feminista Jones, and Marc Lamont Hill are brought on to discuss the latest in current events. What makes this show so great is that it highlights the fact that hip-hop culture is bigger than just music — it’s also political.

7. For Colored Nerds

For Colored Nerds adds another perspective to the black nerd dialogue, as best friends Brittany and Eric get together every week to discuss nerd culture from both a male and female perspective. But it’s not just nerdism that the pair focus on — in the above episode, for instance, they have a fascinating conversation about finding and keeping mentor-mentee relationships for black people in the creative world.

Check the all out,you may become a fan.

Americans Have No Love for Congress

In what quite possibly is the most pissed off public and American History, a new Gallup Poll has found that Congress has hit historic lows in terms of public confidence. Now, in no small part this recent downward opinion drop is likely due to the Debt-Ceiling Debacle manufactured by the Tea Bagger Republicans…

But respect for Congress has been going downhill for quite a while.

Trend: Trust and Confidence in the Legislative Branch of the Federal Government, Consisting of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives

Americans Express Historic Negativity Toward U.S. Government

The findings are from Gallup’s annual Governance survey, updated Sept. 8-11, 2011. The same poll shows record or near-record criticism of Congress, elected officials, government handling of domestic problems, the scope of government power, and government waste of tax dollars.

Key Findings:

  • 82% of Americans disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job.
  • 69% say they have little or no confidence in the legislative branch of government, an all-time high and up from 63% in 2010.
  • 57% have little or no confidence in the federal government to solve domestic problems, exceeding the previous high of 53% recorded in 2010 and well exceeding the 43% who have little or no confidence in the government to solve international problems.
  • 53% have little or no confidence in the men and women who seek or hold elected office.
  • Americans believe, on average, that the federal government wastes 51 cents of every tax dollar, similar to a year ago, but up significantly from 46 cents a decade ago and from an average 43 cents three decades ago.
  • 49% of Americans believe the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. In 2003, less than a third (30%) believed this.
It gets worse.  Let’s call this one the Palinization of Political Figures. That is, the running of people who neither have the intellect, morality, or basic integrity to hold public office, who are put up as candidates solely for adherence to political ideology, sex appeal (in the case of the MILF candidates), or ability to say something totally off the wall.
Snow Black and the 7 Dwarfs in the current Republican Presidential Primary – where the only guy with the capability and skills (Huntsman)…
Is dead last.

Internment Camps – A Good Place for Tea Baggers?

OK – so regular readers of my blog have susssed out that I don’t much care for conservatives… Especially the brand of conservatives who base their conservatism and belief system on racism. Which certainly isn’t every conservative – but it is too damn many of them. And I certainly advocated the trials of members of the Bushit Administration responsible for lying the country into the Iraq War, and should those trials result in conviction for treason – a swift and sure execution by the rope or the gun as prescribed by law.

Prisons - Good Places for Tea Baggers According to RK Byers

But this Opinion piece over at NewsOne caught my eye as being (more than a little) bit over the top.

50 years ago, this is exactly what the ancestors of todays Tea Baggers wanted to do to black folks, for having the temerity to “make trouble” in agitating for their Civil Rights. Indeed I remember wild eyed accounts during the 60’s that the old internment camps used in WWII to incarcerate the Japanese were being spruced up, for a new minority group!

As much as some, currently resident on the right might have wished that to happen – it didn’t.

So I don’t agree with RK on this one. The Tea Baggers have a right to demonstrate, march, holler, and make complete racist asses of themselves here in this US of A. They pick up a gun or a bomb – different story. They use the Public Airwaves to incite insurrection or assassination – they should be prosecuted and thrown in jail like any other terrorist.

But Joe Hummer-six-pack running around in the streets waving his American Flag, and racist signs? Or Joe-Bob Glock running around in the woods trying to pretend he’s 20 again, instead of 50 with a beer belly?

No. That is not America, even in a most cynical view – it is something far far worse.

OPINION: Tea Party Members Should Be Rounded Up & Jailed

Get this straight: if you’re living in America right now, you’re a descendant of a criminal, a kidnapping victim, or a bum—possibly all three.

There are no descendants of royalty in America. Royalty doesn’t leave home.

When the British initially emptied its prisons of it’s Tony Montanas and it’s Jezebels and sent them all floating over here, the situation was looked at as a win-win. Read the rest of this entry »
