Multiple Police Officers Shot in Kissimmee, Jacksonville, and Pennsyllvania

Un-freakin-believable! Six Officers shot in two states in the last 24 hours. These guys were just doing their duty, and this serves as a reminder of how dangerous their jobs can be just doing their normal duty.

1 police officer killed, 5 others injured in 3 shootings in Florida and Pennsylvania

One police officer was killed and three wounded in nighttime shootings in two Florida cities where the officers were responding to suspected drug activity and reports of a suicide attempt, police said Saturday.

In Pennsylvania, two state troopers were shot outside a small-town store in Fairchance, south of Pittsburgh. State police say the troopers, both taken to hospitals after the Friday night shooting in Fairchance, were in stable condition.

One officer was killed and another gravely injured late Friday night in Kissimmee in central Florida just south of the theme park hub of Orlando. Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O’Dell said at a news conference Saturday that a suspect, Everett Miller, was arrested several hours after the shootings.

He faces a first-degree murder charge. Authorities originally said they believed there were four suspects, but the chief said no other arrests are anticipated.

The other two officers were injured a couple of hours later in Jacksonville, one of them shot in both hands and the other in the stomach. The shooter in Jacksonville was shot and killed when police returned fire.

In Kissimmee, officers Sam Howard and Matthew Baxter were checking suspects in an area of the city for drug activity when they were shot, O’Dell said earlier. They did not have an opportunity to return fire.

“They were surprised,” O’Dell said. When asked whether they were ambushed, he said, “It’s too early to tell, but it’s leading that way.”

Florida Cop Harasses Black Man With Made Up Law

Apparently stepping outside the walk lines in Florida is a major felony. Not to mention getting arrested for a non-existent law.

Just another case of Walking While Black and an out-of-control racist cop.

WATCH: Florida cop makes up law to ticket black man for walking without identification

According to the Miami Herald, a police officer in Jacksonville, Florida incorrectly cited a law requiring identification for drivers when giving a ticket to a black man for jaywalking and for not having an ID on him, as shown in a viral video the man in question posted on social media.

The video posted by 21-year-old Devonte Shipman on June 20 shows Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Officer J.S. Bolen confronting Shipman for jaywalking.

“Miami Beach, 1962?” the Herald report asked. “No, Jacksonville, 2017.”

When Shipman asked the officer what he’d done wrong, the cop told him that he was fining him for jaywalking, which costs $65. Bolen then asked the young man for his ID, and when he told the officer he didn’t have it, Bolen “snapped.”

“That’s another infraction,” Bolen said. “In the state of Florida, you have to have an ID card on you identifying who you are or I can detain you for seven hours until I figure out who you are.”

According to the Herald, however, the officer got the law wrong — Florida Statute 322.15 requires licensed drivers to always have their licenses when driving and can incur a $136 fine if they do not, but no such law exists for walking without a license.

“Bolen also gave Shipman a citation for failing to obey a pedestrian control signal, another $62.50 fine,” the Herald noted.

Jacksonville Cop Beats Handcuffed Drunk Woman While Other Cops Do Nothing

Drunk folks do stupid stuff, as any Cop should be well aware of. This Cop’s reaction to an already restrained woman is ridiculous. Indeed the Department should fire all present for letting this go on.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department fired a rookie deputy on Thursday after video was released showing him brutally punching a handcuffed woman he had pinned to a wall, reports JAX4.

In the video, 31-year-old Mayra Martinez can be seen being punched repeatedly by Akinyemi Borisade as she was being booked into Duval County Jail on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest.

According to police, Martinez was taken into custody after she became drunk and belligerent after she quit her job at a local bar on the first day. The police report states that she battled with officers when being placed in the police cruiser.

In surveillance video taken at the jail, Borisade can be seen placing a handcuffed Martinez against a wall where she she lashed out with her foot twice, attempting to kick the officer. As three fellow officers and another handcuffed suspect stood by, Borisade is seen repeatedly punching the defenseless woman who fell to the ground after the assault as the officers ignored her.

According to Undersheriff Pat Ivey, jail employees brought the video to their superiors leading to Borisade to be fired with prosecutors filing assault charges against him.

“He could have turned her around and held her in a transporting position that they are trained in back over to the location to wait by the door,” Ivey said in a statement. “He could have stood there with her, but there was no need to strike her.”
