Cop in Grand Rapids Pulls Gun on Teens Walking In Front of Their Homes

There really was no justifiable reason to do this. In Grand Rapids, 5 black teens are accosted at gunpoint by a Police Officer, supposedly looking for an armed black male. There are a lot of ways the Cop could have approached this issue without drawing a firearm. Especially since it seems he had substantial backup less than 10 seconds away.

This Cop just cemented any suspicion in these kids minds, that the Police are armed thugs instead of community protectors.

Hat Tip to “The Advise Show” on this one. Advise is a YouTube Channel out of Houston, with interesting content.

‘Stop crying, bro! They gonna think we did something!’: Unarmed black teens sob as cop holds them at gunpoint

Last month, officers in Grand Rapids, Michigan were responding to a call about an armed suspect when they pulled their gun on five teenagers minding their own business.

The body cam video posted by BuzzFeed revealed sobbing teens forced to lay on the ground as the officer pointed his gun at them.

“Guys, get on the ground. Keep your hands out,” a Grand Rapids police officer tells a group of youths in the video. “Just follow our directions and we’ll be all right, OK?”

The teens are seen raising their hands before laying on the sidewalk.

“Stop crying, bro! They gonna think we did something!” one of the boy’s friends can be heard saying.

More People Dying From Heroin Overdose Than Murder by Gun!

Check this out…

OF course the majority (by a pretty good margin) of these deaths are of white people living in the suburbs and rural areas…So unlike the “crack epidemic” there isn’t going to be any push to criminalize.

Yet another reason the “War on Drugs” has been an utter and complete failure.

Heroin deaths surpass gun homicides for the first time, CDC data shows

Opioid deaths continued to surge in 2015, surpassing 30,000 for the first time in recent history, according to CDC data released Thursday.

That marks an increase of nearly 5,000 deaths from 2014. Deaths involving powerful synthetic opiates, like fentanyl, rose by nearly 75 percent from 2014 to 2015.

Heroin deaths spiked too, rising by more than 2,000 cases. For the first time since at least the late 1990s, there were more deaths due to heroin than to traditional opioid painkillers, like hydrocodone and oxycodone.

In the CDC’s opioid death data, deaths may involve more than one individual drug category, so numbers in the chart above aren’t mutually exclusive. Many opioid fatalities involve a combination of drugs, often multiple types of opioids, or opioids in conjunction with other sedative substances like alcohol.

In a grim milestone, more people died from heroin-related causes than from gun homicides in 2015. As recently as 2007, gun homicides outnumbered heroin deaths by more than 5 to 1.

These increases come amid a year-over-year increase in mortality across the board, resulting in the first decline in American life expectancy since 1993.

Trumpizoid Attacks Kids With Gun Over Trump Sign

Yeah…The looney tunes are getting reckless. In typical Trupizoid fashion you know when a 57 year old, grown man needs a gun to threaten or straighten up a group of 12 year olds…The weenie factor is really wee. Most grown men I know do it with a word.

There is no thing as an unloaded gun,

Michigan man grills kids at gunpoint over damaged Trump sign — until cops show up and arrest him

Michael Kubek

A Michigan man was arrested for pointing a gun at some neighborhood kids he accused of vandalizing his Donald Trump campaign sign.

Michael Kubek, of Allen Park, called police Oct. 29 after a group of teens knocked the campaign sign down and ran off, but the 56-year-old was not home when officers arrived a few minutes later, reported the Southgate News-Herald.

Police heard shouting nearby and found six children between 14 and 12 sitting on the grass as Kubek screamed and cursed at them.

Kubek told officers he was angry because he believed the children had damaged his Trump sign, although he admitted that he hadn’t seen them do it.

The children told police they were headed to a nearby park when Kubek began swearing at them and then pulled out a pistol and ordered them to sit down on a neighbor’s lawn.

The kids insisted they hadn’t damaged the sign, but they said Kubek only became angrier and held them at gunpoint while his mother, who lives on the same block, called police.

Kubek admitted to pointing his gun at the children to scare them, but he explained he was angry because his house had been egged and his Trump signs damaged a week earlier.

He told police the gun was not loaded, and officers said the weapon, which was properly licensed, was empty when they seized it from Kubek, who is a concealed carry permit holder.

Kubek was arrested and charged with felonious assault, and he was released on $5,000 bond.

Police Release Keith Scott Video

The problem being it leads to even more questions.

My question is about the Gun that was supposedly found…

It looks one hell of a lot like a Cop “Holdout” gun from days gone by. It would be heavy, difficult to conceal…and a good way to blow your foot off due to the single safety system. It is a Smith and Wesson, which at one time was pretty standard issue in Police forces in 380 Auto.

I lean towards the gun being a plant at this point. As to the Blunt…That kind of puts the icing on that.

Just sayin…

Texas…Again. This Time Murder by Gun-Gonzo

Why we don’t want guns on the street…

The accused murderer, Michelle Chase

Texas woman fatally shoots deaf man who knocked on her door — and leaves note on his body saying ‘sorry’

A Texas woman shot and killed a deaf man who apparently frightened her by knocking at the door — and she left an index card next to his body with the word “sorry” written on it.

Michelle Chase called police about 10 a.m. Sunday to report the shooting, and officers found the man’s body — along with the cryptic note — outside her apartment door.

The 49-year-old Chase initially denied killing 50-year-old William Farr, who police said showed no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.

An autopsy on Monday revealed Farr had been shot in the chest with a small-caliber bullet.

Chase admitted to police that she shot Farr, who was deaf and communicated with a computer tablet, on Saturday night because he scared her by knocking on her door.

“He was a nice little guy,” said neighbor Florida Paul. “I didn’t know him that well. He couldn’t hear so he really couldn’t talk — he just made noises, strange noises.”

The neighbor said Farr did not live at the apartment complex but frequently visited a woman who did.

Paul said the man had showed up at her own door a couple of weeks ago with multiple stab wounds to his forehead, but she refused to open the door and instead called 911.

“All I saw was like 10 holes in his forehead and blood gushing out, you could barely see his face,” the neighbor said. “But I wouldn’t open my door, because I didn’t know if whoever did that was behind him, and I’m on oxygen, I can’t fight.”

Police did not offer any details about that previous incident or say whether it was connected to Farr’s shooting death.

Chase told police she stayed with a family friend after the shooting and went to a store the next morning, before returning home to pick up clothes for church.

She told police that she called 911 after seeing Farr’s body on the sidewalk outside her door.

Right Wing Porn Results in Shooting at Benghazi Movie

A moron attending the Right-Wing lie fest movie critically shot another movie goer while masturbating his metal manhood in Renton, Washington. It is unfortunate he didn’t blow off his Johnson, with his man meat rattling around in the barrel of that small-bore 22 caliber.

Moviegoer critically wounded after drunk’s gun fires during ’13 Hours’ Benghazi film

A Washington woman was critically injured after being shot in the chest when a man fumbled with his gun during a showing of the Benghazi movie “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi,” according to local news outlet KOMO News.

According to authorities, the 29-year-old man who dropped the gun appeared to be intoxicated as he entered The Landing theater in Renton, but bolted after the gun went off.

“It got about 15-20 minutes into the film and I believe the lady in front of us that got shot was actually talking to her husband or significant other and that’s when we heard the loud pop,” explained one witness, who asked not to be identified, adding that he was  sitting 3-4 rows behind the man when the gun went off.

Another witness, who also asked to not be identified, stated, “There was a gunshot and we thought it was a light bulb exploding in the theater, so no one really reacted.”

Following the shooting, multiple witnesses saw a man get up quickly and leave through an exit.

The unidentified woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

According to police, “Preliminary accounts indicate that an intoxicated suspect entered one of the theaters and was fumbling with a handgun he had in his possession when it went off, striking another patron seated in front of him.”

Police state that  they received a 911 call from the shooter’s father Thursday evening telling them his 29-year-old son was distraught and that he admitted he had dropped the gun.

“According to him, he said he dropped the gun and it went off. We have witnesses that say he came into the theater and appeared intoxicated. He went in and took a seat in theater number nine and was fumbling with a pistol when it went off and struck someone sitting in front of him,” said David Leibman of the Renton Police Department, adding that the man is currently in custody.

Maryland Cop Who Put His Gun to Homeowner’s Head Sentenced to Prison

Imagine you have gone out with a friend to a restaurant or a ball game, and your friend drives. You get home, and your friend pulls the car in front of your house and you talk for a few minutes before exiting the car to go to your house. A Cop pulls up, and claims you are “illegally parked”, even though thee are no no-parking signs on the street – and you are still in the car with the engine running. You explain to the Cop that this is your house, show him your ID and get out to go home, when the Cop pulls out his gun, and points it in your face while screaming at you – threatening to kill you. That was exactly the situation in PG County in the Maryland suburbs last year. Fortunately a bystander caught the cop on video.

Justice actually happens…Sometimes. This one was an egregious case of a Prince George’s Cop, in the suburbs of Washington, DC attacking a pair of men, one of whom was being dropped off at his home by his friend. The motive apparently was to show off for some of the Cop’s friends who were on an illegal “ride along” on that day.

Former Md. police officer sentenced for pointing gun at man’s head

The victim of the Police Assault, William Cunningham speaks to the press outside the Courthouse.

A former police officer who was found guilty of holding his gun to a Prince George’s County resident’s head to intimidate him will serve five years in prison without the chance of parole for his actions.

The sentence was the mandatory minimum that former Prince George’s County officer Jenchesky Santiago could have been given. He faced up to 45 years behind bars. He was convicted in December of first- and second-degree assault, use of a handgun during a crime of violence, and misconduct in office.

Santiago’s actions were captured on cellphone video, which was a key piece of evidence at his trial.

The incident happened in 2014 after Santiago, while on patrol, approached a car that he claimed was illegally parked in a Bowie neighborhood. When a passenger in that car tried to walk off to his home, Santiago ordered him back into the car, pulled his weapon when the man refused, and dared the man to a fight. He can be seen on video holding his gun up to the victim’s face.

Before handing down the sentence, Judge Dwight Jackson called the case “sad on a lot of levels” and said there were “no winners … only losers.”

Jackson, the son of a police officer, told Santiago “you have diminished them and what they do.” He speculated that Santiago was “perhaps bored, or perhaps wanted to show off” to two friends whom he had brought on an unauthorized ride-along that day.

The judge also heard at times tearful statements from Santiago’s mother, sister and fiancee, who described him as a caring, loving person devoted to his two young children. Jackson later said, “The person who is here to be sentenced bears no resemblance to the person they know.”

Prosecutors also accused Santiago of not taking responsibility for his actions. In a recorded phone conversation from jail, Santiago “described the fact that not only was he not remorseful and had no intention of apologizing in this case,” said Angela Alsobrooks, the state’s attorney for Prince George’s County, “but still believed even after this case that he was owed an apology from the victim.”

“It kind of didn’t sit well with me to hear that he was not apologetic, or had no remorse,” said victim William Cunningham outside the courthouse. “I did think that he may shoot me, or my life may have been in jeopardy.”

Santiago, now 26, was fired from the police department on Dec. 18. His lawyer said he also expects Santiago to be dishonorably discharged from the Navy, where he serves as a reservist.

Another Shooting By Cop in California of Unarmed Man

The following video is of a Cop sighting a possible drunk driver. The driver, and apparently with his wife in the car then rolled their car in an accident. The officer arrives, shortly after the accident, pulls his gun out and shoots the driver, as he attempts to exit the car even though he has nothing in his hands… Then calls in falsely that the driver had refused to exit the car.

Once again the Blue Wall covers it up and refuses to have the officer have any legal accountability for what is essentially a planned execution.

California Cop Won’t Be Charged for Shooting Man After Rollover Accident

A California cop who shot a man who had stuck his head out of a car that had rolled over will not be prosecuted, a district attorney announced Thursday.

Paradise police officer Patrick Feaster told investigators he never meant to shoot Andrew Thomas, possibly leaving him paralyzed for the rest of his life.

And Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey took Feaster’s word on it, which led to his decision not to prosecute.

According to Action News Now:

According to Ramsey, several factors led investigators to believe the shooting was accidental. “The dash cam video shows Officer Feaster was not prepared for and was surprised by the guns firing. The pistol discharges in mid-stride and the officer both flinches his head to the right and does a stutter step indicative of an officer not prepared for nor intentionally firing his pistol. Additionally, officers normally train to fire a minimum of two shots. There was no second shot and the officer immediately holstered his weapon after the discharge.”

In a media release, Ramsey said “His (Officer Feaster’s) reaction on the dash cam video and his statements to protocol investigators confirm an honest belief that he did not intentionally fire his pistol.”

But despite his claim that the shooting was accidental, Feaster never mentioned to the responding paramedics and officers that he had shot Thomas until more than ten minutes after their arrival.

And only because another officer noticed he had been shot and was preparing to dispatch officers to the bar where Thomas and his wife had been drinking to see if he had been shot there.

Man With Gun Terrorizes Cleveland Neighborhood

Hate to say this…But if the local Rethugs have passed a “Stand Your Ground” Law in Cleveland…Now might be a good time to use it.

Seems to me the Cleveland Police are failing…Again.

Mybe it is time for some o fthe Drug Thugs who are so good at killing each other…Do a Public Service.

Ohio community lives in fear as rifle-toting white man stalks black neighborhoods with impunity

A 25-year-old white man got into an altercation with the black owner of a barbershop on Thursday who objected to him stalking predominantly black neighborhoods carrying a rifle slung across his back, reports Cleveland.com.

Saying he has a right under Ohio’s open carry laws to parade about town carrying his gun, Daniel Kovacevic, 25, has been stopped by police multiple times — including near the University of Akron —  but police say the state’s gun laws have tied their hands despite citizen complaints.

Kovacevic’s actions have roiled  the black community in a state where Tamir Rice and John Crawford were recently shot by police while holding toy weapons.

On Thursday, police were called to break up a confrontation between Kovacevic and local barbershop owner Deone Slater who did not want the man with his rifle hanging out in front of his shop.

“He was a threat to my community,” Slater said. “If I can prevent him from shooting up the city, I would. I won’t condone it. Somebody’s got to stand up.”

Slater said he was yelling profanities at Kovacevic when police arrived, and that Kovacevic said little during the confrontation other than to ask him if he was a Christian.

“I told him to take his guns off. I told him let me have five or 10 minutes with him without his weapons,” Slater said before adding that the police seemed more concerned with him than the man carrying the gun, and that he believes race plays a part in it.

“They (police) were more concerned about me than him, as if I were the threat,” Slater explained. “If it were me with a gun, they would have shut the whole block down.”

“He’s a threat to me and my people. He’s a threat to me.”

Police have been monitoring Kovacevic for days after receiving calls from security at University of Akron that he was seen near the school carrying his rifle.

Social media has been up in arms over Kovacevic after his picture was posted to Twitter (see below) when he was seen near one of Akron’s predominately black high schools.

According to police there is nothing they can do, saying they can ask the open carrier who they are, what they are doing and why they are there — however gun carriers are not required by law to respond.

“You have to be careful because you get into search and seizure issues,” Akron police spokesperson Rick Edwards explained. “You can’t detain them. Ohio isn’t the only state to allow open carry. If you don’t like it, you can talk to your legislators.”

Gun Crazy…Woman Threatens to Shoot Man For Asking for a Light

Once again we see the result of NRA and conservative media fearmongering…This woman needs minimally to have her Gun Permit pulled – and shouldn’t be a gun owner. Pulling a gun for no reason, and aiming it at a group of people, including a child is reason enough. She quite simply – isn’t psychologically stable enough to be allowed on the street with a gun.

And the guy wasn’t asking for a cigarette…He was asking for light for cigarettes he had just bought.

Tenn. woman busted after pointing gun at black man asking for a cigarette from 10 feet away

A 67-year-old Tennessee woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after drawing her gun on a black man authorities said posed no threat to her, WTVF-TV reported.

“I have never been so afraid of anything in my whole life I don’t think,” Sherry McLain said of the encounter in a Walmart parking lot last weekend. “This guy is the bad guy and I’m the one in handcuffs walking away.”

According to the Murfeesboro Daily News Journal, security footage shows 52-year-old James Crutchfield walking past McLain and turning toward her, but not behaving toward her in a threatening manner.

McLain has insisted that Crutchfield approached her even after she drew her handgun and told him to stop. But the footage actually shows him backing away from her with his hands up before approaching another woman, Diane Miller, and telling her to call the police before running into the store. WTVF reported that Crutchfield never got within 10 feet of McLain during the encounter.

Crutchfield told police that he had asked McLain if she had a cigarette lighter since he had just bought cigarettes in the store, only for her to brandish her weapon. The footage reportedly shows McLain lowering her gun after he got away from her, only to raise it again when Crutchfield approached Miller and a child.

Miller’s daughter, Keeley Benoit, corroborated the police’s account of the incident, saying that “the gun was being pointed at the three of them and [McLain] says, ‘I’m going to shoot you. I’m going to kill you.’”

McLain, who has a legal permit for the gun, faced a $15,000 bond and was also charged with reckless endangerment.

“What are we supposed to do if we can’t protect ourselves?” she asked. “I’m 67 years old.”

Don’t Argue With This Ref!

Argue with this Ref, you are not just out of the Park…

You are in the hospital or morgue!

A soccer referee in Brazil is facing serious disciplinary action after pulling out a gun on the field during the middle of an amateur regional league match.

The shocking incident occurred over the weekend in the city of Brumadinho, according to The Telegraph. The referee, Gabriel Murta, was allegedly assaulted by members of visiting team Amantes de Bola before he went and got his gun.

Murta, who reportedly works as a police officer during the day, claims to have been kicked and slapped by the Amantes manager and his substitutes after they demanded a red card for a player on Brumadinho. Murta reacted to the attack by going to the locker rooms and returning with a gun, according to The Mirror.

When confronted, Murta wasted no time in pulling out the gun, keeping it down and to his side, but visible for all involved to see.

Black Couple Threatened And Harassed by Neighbor …Sues

Family moves into house. Neighbor subjects them to slurs and racist threats. Neighbor threatens them with a gun…

Neighbor resists arrest by Police, and is charged with a Misdemeanor…

Special laws for “special” people?

Gregory and Sophia Bonds

Black couple uses housing law to sue over slurs, threats

Citing a sliver of civil rights-era legislation more commonly used as protection against discriminatory landlords, a black couple is suing their former neighbor and a north Georgia city they say failed to stop him from harassing them.

Gregory and Sophia Bonds say the slurs and threats began the day they moved into the brick ranch rental home in a well-kept neighborhood in Gainesville, northeast of Atlanta, back in February 2012.

Roy Turner Jr., the white neighbor who worked for the city’s solid waste department, verbally assaulted them whenever he saw them outside, including sometimes while he was working, the couple contends. He also sometimes walked and made sounds like an ape when he saw them, the Bonds family asserts in a lawsuit filed last month against Turner and the city.

Turner told The Associated Press he wasn’t aware of the lawsuit but that he never threatened anyone.

“I said ‘porch monkey,'” he said with a chuckle. “That’s just a joking-around term.”

Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan said he couldn’t comment on pending litigation.

The lawsuit details more than a dozen specific instances of alleged harassment. Gregory Bonds said the final straw came in May: The family had company and Turner came out into his yard with a baseball bat and began hitting a tree aggressively and yelling more slurs. The family moved the next month.

They cite a provision of the federal Fair Housing Act of 1968 and a nearly identical section of Georgia law that says it’s illegal to coerce, intimidate, threaten or interfere with someone who is exercising or enjoying any right guaranteed by that law. Conceived to protect against violent actions such as cross burnings, bombs or other physical attacks, it also applies to verbal attacks, said Robert Schwemm, a law professor at the University of Kentucky who has decades of experience with the Fair Housing Act.

“It’s specifically a separate section of the statute that was designed to apply to people who were not housing providers — neighbors and others,” Schwemm said.

That provision isn’t used very often against neighbors in the modern era, Schwemm said. He’s aware of one or two cases a year but said there are likely others he doesn’t hear about.

Schwemm said he’s never heard of a case that sought to hold a municipality accountable for a neighbor’s actions.

Gregory and Sophia Bonds had saved money to move out of an apartment into a house so their three teenage children would have a yard for the first time and would have more space to invite their friends over, their lawyer Ashley Bell said. Turner’s behavior violated fair housing statutes that bar discrimination on the basis of a variety of factors when people are renting, buying or seeking financing for housing, the lawsuit says.

The city’s knowledge of Turner’s actions, many of which occurred while he was a city employee, and its failure to curb them make it liable for them, the family argues. Roy Turner Mug Shot

City records show some steps were taken against Turner, but the Bonds family says it wasn’t enough.

Sophia Bonds first called police in March 2012, about a month after they moved in, and told an officer Turner regularly hurled racial slurs at them. She said she was afraid of him, according to a police report. Turner told the officer he wouldn’t use words like that because he was a city employee, the report says.

A month later, on April 19, 2012, Turner and Gregory Bonds exchanged words outside before Turner went into his house and reappeared at his back door with a loaded rifle that he pointed at Gregory Bonds, the couple told police.

After a standoff lasting several hours, officers entered the home and forcibly removed Turner, using a stun gun on him when he refused to obey their commands, police reports say.

Turner pleaded guilty a month later to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. The judge ordered him to pay a $200 fine and to serve 12 months on probation with extra conditions: no violence or insults toward the Bonds family, no weapons on his property and no drinking or possessing hard liquor.

The Bonds family was frustrated that Turner only faced a misdemeanor charge, said Bell, their lawyer. Hall County Solicitor General Stephanie Woodard, whose office prosecuted Turner, said she understood that frustration.

“I was greatly outraged at the behavior that Roy Turner exhibited and at the behavior that this family and their children endured,” she said, adding that her office can only prosecute misdemeanors and the district attorney had declined to bring felony charges.

Turner was in a car crash in the 1970s that left him with a traumatic brain injury that caused mental impairment and altered his behavior, said Dunagan, the mayor, who grew up with Turner and said he never knew him to be violent. A group of friends watches out for Turner and helps him live as independently as possible, two of them told Woodard before Turner’s sentencing.

Woodard detected some cognitive disconnect when speaking to Turner, but she said she still believed Turner was capable of controlling himself.

Woodard said she believes the city’s police handled him properly, sending in a SWAT team and using force to arrest him.

Turner landed back in court for probation violations several times. After his probation officer said Turner continued to insult the Bonds family, the judge ordered him not to drink or possess any alcohol, to submit to random alcohol testing, to allow police to enter his home randomly to make sure there were no guns and to have no contact with the Bonds family, court records show.

Turner had worked for the city’s solid waste department since October 1992. In recent years, he worked as a garbage collector and had a string of run-ins with customers and co-workers, according to city personnel records. There’s a record in his personnel file of a call from Sophia Bonds a few days after his arrest asking that Turner not work the route that included her house.

The city suspended him following his arrest in April 2012. After he was sentenced to probation, he was allowed to return to work but was warned not to have arguments or to use derogatory language.

After numerous confrontations with co-workers and the public, Turner was fired Oct. 23.

Florida Again – Road Rage Hillbilly Vasectomy

Some years ago when I used to regularly target shoot at a range, I noticed over a period of several months that they had 10-15 used pistols made by a popular manufacturer in the cabinet for sale. The pistols were a compact “carry” model identical to that carried by some police departments, just about 1//2 the size.  when you see a large number of most any product in the “Return bin” it usually means there is a defect or quality problem.

Asked the friendly salesman about that seeming discrepancy, as the manufacturer had a good reputation for producing quality product. Seems that the safety on both the bigger an smaller model were in the same place. Which, it turns out was fine when the gun was carried in a holster like that used by the military or police. When the smaller “carry” model was tucked under the belt though, it seems that the safety was exactly in the wrong place and would flip to the fire position when puled out of a trouser waistband. The result was a fairly prolific series of what I euphemistically all “Hillbilly Vasectomies”  as a result of self emasculation by gun. .. This one kind of makes you wonder …

Man shoots self in road-rage incident on I-4

Where an Interstate-4 motorist shot himself in a road-rage incident today remained in question for hours as police and sheriff’s deputies tried to determine who should investigate.

Orlando police first treated the shooting as their case about 11:30 a.m. when the man pulled off the highway and stopped his white BMW sedan at the Princeton Street exit near College Parkand Florida Hospital, records show.

Within an hour, police turned the case over to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office believing the shooting happened there.

But the investigation was turned over again about 1:15 p.m. to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in the belief the shooting happened south of the Seminole Countyline.

The confusion apparently stemmed from Richard Coles, the wounded motorist who was undergoing treatment for his injury, according to the sheriff’s office.

“He was taken to local hospital where he has declined to prosecute and no longer wishes to speak with investigators,” sheriff’s spokesman Jeff Williamson wrote.

Details remain few but Coles, 36, told Orlando police he had been driving toward Orlando when another motorist brandished a gun over an undisclosed incident, according to police.

Feeling threatened, the man grabbed his own gun and it fired. The bullet struck one of the man’s legs causing a non-life threatening wound, said Orlando police Sgt. Jim Young.

Police officers and sheriff’s deputies have not located witnesses to what precipitated the shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.
