NJ Cops Punch and Kick Innocent Burning Man Set Afire By Car Accident

An innocent man, who was forced off the road into a car accident. NJ Police approach, do nothing to put the fire out as the man desperately rolls on the ground trying to put his burning clothes out. Then begin to kick and punch the victim. Meanwhile, the (drunk?) man who caused the accident is a mile away being apprehended after being shot at by NJ Police.

Shocking video shows New Jersey cops kicking burning victim of fiery car crash

In a new video of a blazing car accident that left a New York man seriously injured Sunday night, police officers are seen striking and pulling the man — who bystanders claim was a victim in the two-car crash — into the street. Several blocks later on Tonnelle Avenue, the fleeing driver crashed into a utility pole, sparking a fire injuring another driver in a different car.

The cellphone video, acquired by Univision and distributed to The Jersey Journal, shows the 28-year-old man exit a burning car with a portion his body on fire. The video shows him rolling around on the ground in an attempt to extinguish the flames. During this time, more than six officers, some with their guns out, circled the man.

While the police were in pursuit of the car, the driver they were chasing had been part of two separate car accidents. During the initial incident, police fired shots at the driver as he tried to position himself between two lanes of traffic. The driver continued to accelerate, the Hudson County Prosecutors Office told NJ.com.

One officer is seen in the video, kicking the man in the head and neck. Other officers at the scene appear to be stomping on parts of his body.

The man who caused the car crashes, 48-year-old Leo Pinkston, has been charged with aggravated assault and fleeing the accident. Police let off multiple shots at Pinkston, who was a mile away before the crash.

In the video, the first officer goes up and kicks the man, knocking him down. The police officers begin to drag the man off the sidewalk, away from the fire and into the middle of the road.

The victim was hospitalized with severe burns.

City officials said Wednesday that they have major concerns regarding how police conducted themselves during the pursuit in the Greenville section of New Jersey that ended with an innocent man fighting for his life.

Raymond Worrall, Director of Communications for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office spoke to NJ.com to give an official statement on the matter.

“Our investigators have reviewed the video and we believe with certainty that this man is the bystander from West New York who suffered burns, not Leo Pinkston, the individual pursued by police,” he said. “As I previously said, we will utilize all resources available to the Prosecutor’s Office for a full and thorough investigation as we seek to bring this matter to a rightful conclusion.”

In a statement, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said, “Our investigators have reviewed the video and we believe with certainty that this man is the bystander from West New York who suffered burns, not Leo Pinkston, the individual pursued by police.”

A statement was also issued to NJ.com by a person close to the victim, though the individual asked to remain anonymous. The friend stated that the 28-year-old was driving home from work when he tried to avoid crashing with Pinkston’s fast-moving car.

“[He’s] fighting for his life,” said the friend. “[He] has multiple broken bones and second- and third-degree burns.”

Angela Rye Cuts Loose on Omarosa

The video sound is bad, but you may be able to turn the sound up enough to hear it – There is a better version on Twitter @AngelaRye.com

Angela Rye slams Omarosa to her face in scalding takedown of ‘president’s apprentice’

Angela Rye brought down the house with her fiery denunciation of Omarosa Manigault and her boss, President Donald Trump.

The CNN political commentator and former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus spoke after the White House advisor Thursday at the National Action Network convention, reported Politico.

Manigault touted her advocacy work with the Trump administration on behalf of historically black colleges and universities, and the audience groaned when she vowed to fight on their behalf from the White House.

But Rye drew a rousing response when she scolded the Trump adviser and former “Apprentice” contestant.

“I’m going to bring the fire right now,” Rye said. “Moments ago, we were joined by your president’s apprentice. The truth is, when you tell somebody you’re going to fight for them, I’m going to tell you how not to fight for them.”

“You don’t fight for them by putting forth a tax reform plan that cuts corporate tax rates but ignores the poor,” she continued. “You don’t fight for them by cutting taxes for the rich, and ensuring that burden is going to be on the backs of the poor and ordinary black and brown people.”

The audience roared as Rye slammed the president and Manigault — including the racist “birther” conspiracy theory that brought Trump into national politics.

“How you don’t fight for [your community] is by trivializing our first black president, Barack Obama, by questioning his citizenship, by questioning his validity,” Rye said. “How you don’t fight for us is by pissing on me and telling me it’s rain.”

“Resist, y’all,” Rye said, as she walked away from the microphone.

WSJ Reports Faux News to Terminate O’Reilly

The veritable Bill Cosby of the talking head world is about to lose his ride.

WSJ: Fox News Prepping to Cut Ties With O’Reilly

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal Tuesday night, Fox News is preparing to cut ties with  Bill O’Reilly. The news came on the heels of a number of reports suggesting that O’Reilly’s days are numbered at the cable channel. According to an earlier report from CNN, representatives for Fox and O’Reilly have started conversations about an exit for the embattled host, who has been on vacation. Sources in O’Reilly’s camp denied that this was the case, according to CNN. However, the network’s parent company, 21st Century Fox will hold a board meeting Thursday in which O’Reilly is expected to be discussed. The Murdoch family, who control 21st Century Fox, is not commenting on the matter. The recent O’Reilly problems  stem from a New York Times report that detailed undisclosed settlement payments that O’Reilly, Fox News, and 21st Century Fox paid to women who accused O’Reilly of sexual harassment and verbal abuse.

The straw which appears to have broken this despicable camel’s back…

New Accuser Says Bill O’Reilly Called Her ‘Hot Chocolate,’ Made ‘Animal Noises’

Lisa Bloom, a high-profile California feminist attorney, says she is now representing yet another woman who has phoned in a complaint of sexual and racial harassment against Bill O’Reilly to the Fox News hotline. Bloom says the new accuser is not after money. The woman, an African American who worked as a clerical worker in 2008 at Fox News, claims Bill O’Reilly engaged in a pattern of harassment that lasted for months including making animal noises at her, staring at her cleavage and calling her “hot chocolate.”

“Although she is very scared and wished to remain anonymous, she felt like she had to add her story and speak out,” Bloom said, adding that three people have backed up the woman’s story.

Bloom is also representing Wendy Walsh, who was a frequent Fox News guest. She claims that O’Reilly snowballed her chances of becoming a paid contributor when she refused to go to a hotel room with him after dinner. Bloom says Walsh raised the allegation for the first time in response to the NY Times reporter, and only first spoke publicly and notified the network via their hotline this April.

News first broke of the big O’Reilly scandal in The New York Times (which, by the way, we had an inkling was coming when LawNewz first published allegations from former anchor Juliet Huddy back in January). The newspaper confirmed that Fox News and O’Reilly had settled five separate claims of sexual harassment against the rating mega-star. Those claims do not include Walsh’s new allegations nor the anonymous woman.

A spokesperson for 21st Century Fox has declined to comment on the latest woman to come forward. However, a recent report says that both Murdoch sons have turned against Bill O’Reilly, and might even want him out of the network.

“It is outrageous that an allegation from an anonymous person about something that purportedly happened a decade ago is being treated as fact, especially when there is an obviously orchestrated campaign by activists and lawyers to destroy Mr. O’Reilly and enrich themselves through publicity driven donations,” Marc E. Kasowitz, an attorney for Bill O’Reilly told CNN.

Anatomy of a Disaster

This is the BIG problem plaguing our subway system in DC. This one does not appear to be a failing power connector. If you look closely towards the bottom left there appears to be a bit of trash, possibly tin foil caught on the insulator holding the 3rd Rail, allowing it to arc to ground and the travelling rail. 700 Volts at 6,000 Amps makes a hell of a boom when it is shorted!

Massive Fire Prompts Evacuation of Entire City in Canada

A huge wildfire in Alberta, Canada has forced the evacuation of 80,000 residents.

Back in 2005, I lost a home to fire….A total loss. It was devastating to myself and the family. So I can really sympathize with the poor folks in Fort McMurray, even though I’ve never been there, or to that part of Canada. Sad…

The fire apparently has reached some homes and businesses. Her a Super 8 Motel and a Gas Station are destroyed…

The latest report from the Fire Chief –

US Bans Hoverboard Imports – Hoverboards Banned

And not because of them catching fire!

The U.S. Just Banned Hoverboard Imports

And it has nothing to do with their fiery explosions.

The International Trade Commission announced Wednesday that the United States is banning imports of so-called hoverboards.

But while some brands of the auto-balancing scooters are known to spontaneously combust, the U.S.’s decision had nothing to do with safety and everything to do with a request from Segway, the hoverboard’s nerdy uncle.

Hoverboards are often described in media reports as Segways without handlebars, or a cooler Segway. But it turns out the new scooters have more in common with their Paul Blart-endorsed predecessor than meets the eye.

Segway filed a complaint with the ITC in 2014, claiming that hoverboards, the vast majority of which are manufactured in China, infringed on some of their patents and copyrights. The particular patents they listed mostly have to do with technologies that allow Segways to self-balance and read user inputs.

“In recent years, there has been an influx of low quality two-wheel personal transporters built on the intellectual property developed by DEKA and Segway,” the company, which licenses the technology from research firm DEKA, said at the time. “If this influx is allowed to continue, this iconic American product and the U.S. jobs dependent on it will be threatened.”

While Segway is based in New Hampshire and continues to manufacture its products there, it was bought last April by Ninebot, a Chinese company that Segway actually listed as a respondent in its 2014 complaint.

The ITC’s ruling goes on to name several brands that are no longer allowed to be imported into the country, including UPTECH, U.P. Technology, U.P. Robotics, FreeGo China, Ecoboomer and Roboscooters.

Segway said it would work with both U.S. customs and the ITC to help implement the ban, although demand for these products is likely at a new low. Just last month, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced voluntary safety standards for all manufacturers, importers and retailers of self-balancing scooters due to their pesky tendency to catch on fire. Online retailer Amazon even agreed to refund all hoverboard purchases.

All of which means there might be a gaping new hole in the self-balancing scooter market. One that Segway could be poised to fill if it would only get cracking on asmaller, cooler-looking model.

The last isn’t going to happen. Segway will continue to sell vastly overpriced product now that there is no competition.

Hoverboard Fire…Again

BTx3 suggested crossing those Hoverboard things off the Christmas list a while back…If you got one of these, you may want to consider buying a loooong extension cord…To charge it outdoors.

Hoverboard fire destroys $1 million home

The Nashville Fire Department says two fires in the last three months were caused by hoverboards.

One of the fires destroyed a $1 million home early last month. According to a statement from the Fire Department, two teens living in the home hid upstairs after hearing noises from downstairs. The noise wasn’t a burglar but their FITURBO F1 hoverboard exploding into flames. A 16-year-old girl had to jump out the second-floor window into her father’s arms due to smoke and a 14-year-old boy was helped down by the dad with the use of a ladder. Both teens suffered minor injuries and the 4,000 square foot home was destroyed.

An investigation found friends of this same family also had an issue when a hoverboard purchased in the same batch caught fire after the battery compartment caught fire. Only the hoverboard was damaged during that fire.

Tennessee Commerce & Insurance Deputy Commissioner Gary West warned “consumers about so-called ‘hoverboard’ devices becoming potential fire hazards to Tennessee consumers.”
