America’s Reputation Drops From #1 to 6th Place in World Reputation Under Chumph

The Russians elected a criminal scumbag as America’s “leader”. Not much different than having elected a Mugabe, Dutarte. or other 3rd world dictator.

Everybody knows what the Chumph is… And it is destroying America’s reputation.

Germany supplants US as the country with the best global reputation

America’s brand has taken a major hit in the age of Trump.

At least that’s according to a survey that ranks the world’s best nation brands.
The United States lands with an overall No. 6 ranking in the Anholt-GfK Nation Brands Index, which measures 50 nations in multiple categories, including governance, exports, culture, people, tourism and immigration/investment. The United States was the overall No. 1 in 2016, but Germany took the top spot this year.
The source of America’s big drop? President Donald Trump, says Simon Anholt, a political consultant who developed the brand survey more than a decade ago.
“We are witnessing a ‘Trump effect,’ following President Trump’s focused political message of ‘America First,’ ” Anholt said in a statement.
Anholt noted that despite the big drop in the overall ranking, Americans interviewed for the survey actually had a more positive assessment of their country than they did last year.
And this year isn’t the first time that the United States has experienced such a big drop in the survey. Anholt said the nation saw a “similar fall in global perception” after the re-election of President George W. Bush in 2004. The US fell to No. 7 then.
Germany ranked first this year thanks to big gains in the governance, people and culture categories.
The UK, which took a hit last year after the Brexit vote, regained enough ground to hang on to No. 3 in the survey, and Anholt said that showing indicates the United States should be able to bounce back, too.
“Previously, America has never stayed outside the top ranking for more than a year at a time,” he said. “It will be interesting to see whether this holds true in the 2018 ranking.”
France came in at No. 2, while Canada and Japan tied for fourth place. The rest of the Top 10 is Italy at No. 7, Switzerland at No. 8, Australia at No. 9 and Sweden at No. 10.
No non-Western countries managed to crack the Top 10.

Pro-Trump and Racist Fox News Starts Taking Revenue Hits

The Chumph’s Fox TV Propaganda outlet is taking big hits.

Fox News Revenues Nosedive Despite Trump’s Constant Viewing

MSNBC is up 2 percent and CNN is down just 1 percent.

Fox News is having trouble keeping its advertisers happy.

Ad revenues plunged 17 percent in September over the same month last year, according to the most recent financial data for the operation.

Statistics from the Standard Media Index, which tracks media income, showed that Fox News took the biggest hit of any cable news operation. CNN, which President Donald Trump frequently describes as “fake news,” lost just 1 percent in revenue, and MSNBC was up 2 percent.

Cable news revenue was down an average of 7 percent for the entire third quarter (July, August, September) over the same period last year, Ad Week reported.

Costs for 30-second advertising spots rose in September over the same month last year for MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” (up from $3,800 to $4,600), “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” (up from $3,100 to $3,700) and “All In With Chris Hayes” (from $2,700 to $3,300).

Advertisers were still spending the most for 30-second spots for Fox News personalities, even though costs were down significantly. A 30-second spot this September cost $12,200 for “Tucker Carlsen Tonight,” and $8,500 for Sean Hannity’s program. Last year, during the election, spots on Fox News were going for as much as $31,300.

Several advertisers left Hannity’s program this year after he pressed a discredited conspiracy theory about Democratic National Committee worker Seth Rich, who was killed in a robbery. Even though the network issued a retraction, Hannity continued to link Rich’s slaying to WikiLeaks. A Stop Hannity effort succeeded in persuading a number of advertisers to quit the program, Media Matters reported.

New Poll Shows Chumph Approval Slip Slidin’ Away

Ain’t nobody happy with the Chumph right now but racists, fools, syncopates, and his dozen or so porch Negroes.

New poll shows Trump slipping further, even among Republicans

The latest Quinnipiac poll, released yesterday, includes all kinds of bad news for Donald Trump. His overall approval rating, for example, has fallen to just 37%, his lowest to date, and a depth of support with no modern precedent for a president just two months into his first term.

But just as interesting as the topline results are some of the specific details. From the pollster’s report:

President Trump is losing support among key elements of his base:

* Men disapprove 43 – 52 percent, compared to a 49 – 45 percent approval March 7;
* Republicans approve 81 – 14 percent, compared to 91 – 5 percent two weeks ago;
* White voters disapprove 44 – 50 percent, compared to a narrow 49 – 45 percent approval March 7.

To be sure, when a president enjoys 81% approval from voters in his own party, that may sound pretty good. It’s not. Note that Trump’s support from the GOP has fallen 10 points since the last Quinnipiac poll.

When a beleaguered president’s overall approval rating is just 37%, he’s even more dependent on die-hard loyalists. When that same president is shedding support from his own base, it’s evidence of a leader with a problem.

Making matters just a little worse, the American electorate doesn’t just disapprove of how Trump is governing, voters also disapprove of the president’s personal qualities. Among the discouraging results for the White House:

* 60 – 35 percent that he is not honest, compared to 55 – 39 not honest March 7;
* 55 – 40 percent that he does not have good leadership skills;
* 57 – 40 percent that he does not care about average Americans;
* 66 – 30 percent that he is not level-headed;
* 61 – 35 percent that he does not share their values.
The president’s overall favorability rating is 36% – which is just a little bit lower than his approval rating.

It’s against this backdrop that Trump is effectively telling Republican members of Congress, “Follow my lead and take health care benefits away from 24 million Americans. It’ll all work out great.” Good luck with that, GOP lawmakers.

Uncle Ben …Going Down

Th anticipated implosion of Uncle Ben Carson is accelerating…The rats, they are deserting the sinking ship.

Ben Carson campaign manager, communications director quit

Ben Carson campaign manager Barry Bennett and communications director Doug Watts have resigned.

Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, has struggled in the polls since October when he was rivaling Donald Trump for the lead in the Republican presidential race.

“Barry Bennett and I have resigned from the Carson campaign effective immediately,” Watts said in a statement. “We respect the candidate and we have enjoyed helping him go from far back in the field to top tier status.”

Watts added: “We are proud of our efforts for Dr Carson and we wish him and his campaign the best of luck.”

Carson’s campaign has raised more than $23 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, his campaign said Wednesday, although it would not say how much cash it has on hand.

The resignations were first reported by the Des Moines Register.

Niagra Falls/National Park Deaths – What’s the Deal?

What’s the deal this year with the number of folks voluntarily eliminating themselves from the gene pool by “accidentally” falling in the water rushing over waterfalls or getting eaten by the wildlife in National Parks? There were the three folks at Yosemite Falls, and now, at Niagra Falls. And it is not just waterfalls – it’s been the deadliest year on record for tourists at the National Parks.

I mean – the way things are going the “Spirit of the Mists”, the boat that goes near the bottom of the Niagra Falls is going to need an airbag on the top to catch the falling bodies.

Considering that over 50% of the folks who wrap themselves in barrels to go over the Niagra Falls wind up dead…

It should be patently obvious nobody is swimming up the falls.

I’ve been to both Yosemite and Niagra Falls, and can tell you both are worth the trip. However, the sound and feel of the ground shaking as metric tons of water pour over the Niagra Falls ought to give anyone pause.

First time I went to Yellowstone was back when the bears still freely roamed the park in the 60’s. One of the thrills was being in a Double-Decker bus, when one of the grizzlies or smaller brown bears would stand up on his hind legs and look straight in through the window at you. Just in case you thought “Yogi” differentiated between you and any other snack food which might offer itself – they had the skin of a 10′ tall grizzly hanging in the old – Old Faithful Lodge entrance. It had been killed by a Park Ranger, and you could see the bullet holes where he first shot it 13 times with his 44-40 Winchester rifle, and then 6 more times with his pistol… After which the bear ate the Park Ranger before expiring…

Here – Police searching for a moron they did know about – found one that they didn’t know about:

Niagara Falls Search for Woman Turns Up Man’s Body

 An odd footnote to the sad tale of the 19-year-old student swept over Niagara Fallson Sunday. An international search team dispatched in a helicopter to look for her body in Niagara Falls Gorge instead turned up the body of an unknown male. Authorities are working to identify him, reports KTLA. Meanwhile, more details are emerging about the tragic weekend incident: The woman, presumed drowned, was an international student from Japan.

The Toronto Star talks to a witness who saw her posing on the railing for a photo moments before she fell, wearing a bright red sweatshirt and holding an umbrella. The paper notes that earlier the same day, a 27-year-old man scaled a safety wall and tumbled into Niagara River Gorge; he and a friend who went in to save him were rescued, though the man fractured his leg.
