Chicago Priests Attempt Exorcising Trump

Getting rid of the Devil….

Chicago priests cast out Trump effigy’s demons during May Day exorcism in Chicago

Chicago priests prayed for Donald Trump’s soul and exorcised his effigy during Sunday’s May Day demonstrations. The video, which is in Spanish, appeared today after reports on the exorcism were tweeted out from @Aaroncynic’s account.

The march began at Chicago’s Union Park and proceeded to Trump Tower, May 1st, which is not only International Workers’ Day, but is also commemorated in Chicago as the anniversary of the Haymarket Affair, where a rally for workers’ rights turned deadly, resulting in the death of eight people. Labor union members were charged in the affair, with eight of them convicted, and four later hanged. Their convictions were considered to be politically motivated, and the four who died are often referred to as “martyrs.”

During this May Day celebration, the priests identified Trump as the current threat to workers’ rights.

“We ask that you bring out the demons and demonic forces of our brother, Donald Trump,” spoke the lead priest. “We ask, oh gracious God, to take away the hatred, bigotry and racism and the forked speaking tongue that he’s had and replace it with a powerful tongue and care,” the Chicagoist reported.

Sonic Happiness

Moved a while back, and had to seriously downsize. Amazing what you collect through the years!

One of the “victims” of that was my mega-stereo… There is just nowhere rational that a single guy is going to live that will fit refrigerator sized speakers…

Damn.

So out with the Klipshs went the Conrad Johnson amps, the backup Nakamichi Dragon…The rock-a-small-stadium subs…

It was PAINFUL!

Fortunately I figured out I could keep a few things…On my way to find a tall building to leap from.

With a collection of about 1500 albums…I kept one of the turntables. My venerable Denon 62L (Forget lugging the concrete base of the other table…Don’t ask…)

I sold the tube amp (bad move), but kept a couple of Luxmans (The ones before they got bought and trashed by crappy Alpine) and  capable of powering my Infinity Kappa 8s (Don’t try this with most of your modern amps, these puppies will eat them and spit them out as they need about 200 Watts each in reserve power to be happy). The good news is Luxman (and McIntosh and NY Moscode) is back after a reverse IPO into capable hands. Unfortunately, they appear to be trying to pay for the entire IPO off the the sale price of the first two amps…I’ll keep my old babies running, Thank You.

Somehow the needle on the turntable got broken in the move. Now a needle on these things can set you back the cost of an iPod…And if you get crazy – the cost of an iPad…128G (Don’t believe me?). I thought prices had gone down, until I went on one of the Audio forums and learned about $400,000 Stereo systems! Checked on ebay…And the prices were stunning. Found a reasonable deal on a modest unit, and finally got it installed as one of my projects for the weekend.

Proud that my mechanical ability hasn’t failed me yet in a autotune world, In honor of the shutdown, I thought I’d listen to a little “Old Skool” from the Poet/Prophet…

This was the breakout album for Gil Scott Heron. And the lyrics eerily reflect today, even though the events they speak of are of yesteryear…

From “Winter in America”

…The Constitution
A noble piece of paper
With free society
Struggled but it died in vain
And now Democracy is ragtime on the corner
Hoping for some rain
Looks like it’s hoping
Hoping for some rain

And I see the robins
Perched in barren treetops
Watching last-ditch racists marching across the floor
But just like the peace sign that vanished in our dreams
Never had a chance to grow
Never had a chance to grow

And now it’s winter
It’s winter in America
And all of the healers have been killed
Or betrayed
Yeah, but the people know, people know
It’s winter, Lord knows
It’s winter in America
And ain’t nobody fighting
Cause nobody knows what to save
Save your souls
From Winter in America

And now it’s winter
Winter in America
And all of the healers done been killed or sent away
Yeah, and the people know, people know
It’s winter
Winter in America
And ain’t nobody fighting
Cause nobody knows what to save
And ain’t nobody fighting
Cause nobody knows, nobody knows
And ain’t nobody fighting
Cause nobody knows what to save…

From “H20Gate Blues”

…How long will the citizens sit and wait?
It’s looking like Europe in ’38
Did they move to stop Hitler before it was too late? (no…)
How long. America before the consequences of
Keeping the school systems segregated
Allowing the press to be intimidated
Watching the price of everything soar
And hearing complaints ’cause the rich want more? (Alright!)
It seems that MacBeth, and not his lady, went mad
We’ve let him eliminate the whole middle class
The dollar’s the only thing we can’t inflate
While the poor go on without a new minimum wage…

SS Limbaugh

The SS Limbaugh appears to be going in the same direction as the SS Glenn Beck…

Down.

A Do run..run…run…

I mean – is there a virus going around that affects right wing talking heads and politicians?

On the politico side –  Michelle Bachmann, then Rick Perry, then the King of Beckistan – Herman Cain.

On the talking head side – Glenn Beck, recently followed by the timely demise of Andrew Brietbart, and now Rush Limbaugh.

One has to wonder when they are going to announce Ann Coulter has Prostate cancer.

9 Advertisers Flee Rush Limbaugh; Pro-Gingrich Super Pac Stays

Advertisers are rushing to the exits of Rush Limbaugh’s radio show after customers inundated the Internet with outrage over the conservative commentator’s widely criticized “slut” comments about Sandra Fluke.

Online media giant AOL and tax attorney group Tax Resolution Services announced today that they were pulling their commercials from Limbaugh’s program, bringing the total number of companies withdrawing their ads to nine.

“At AOL one of our core values is that we act with integrity,” the company said Monday on its Facebook page. “We have monitored the unfolding events and have determined that Mr. Limbaugh’s comments are not in line with our values.”

Limbaugh dubbed Georgetown University law school student Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” for testifying before a congressional committee that birth control should be covered under employee health insurance plans.

Limbaugh has been widely criticized by many Democrats and women’s rights groups, but the Republican response has been measurably more muted. The GOP presidential candidates have stopped short of all-out condemning Limbaugh’s statements. And the pro-Newt Gingrich Super Pac Winning Our Future is running a national radio ad during Limbaugh show.

The Super Pac’s spokesman Rick Tyler said the group had no intention of pulling its pro-Gingrich ads from Limbaugh’s show.

Gingrich has steered clear of criticizing Limbaugh, instead re-ocusing the issue on President Obama, whom he says “opportunistically” interjected himself into the issue by calling Fluke on Friday.

Lear Capital, a gold and silver investment firm, and LifeLock, an identity theft protection service, are both sticking with Limbaugh. LifeLock posted Saturday on Facebook that Limbaugh’s comments “in no way reflect the opinions of LifeLock” but did not say it was considering pulling their ads.

Lear Capital posted on its Facebook page that the company was “evaluating our advertising relationship” with Limbaugh and was “very concerned” about Limbaugh’s comments, which it said “blurred” the lines between “free speech and unnecessary personal attacks.”

While Limbaugh apologized for his “choice of words” on Friday, some advertisers are still fleeing his show.

The web-based flower delivery company ProFlowers withdrew its ads on Sunday. Online document company Legal Zoon and document security group Carbonite pulled their ads on Saturday.

The Internet software maker Citrix, mattress companies Sleep Train and Sleep Number and mortgage lender Quicken Loans suspended their advertising on Friday, before Limbaugh’s apology.

All nine former advertisers cited a conflict of values as the reason for dropping their ads.

Republinazis Come Out…

Three stories –

The Republican who denies the Holocaust –

Republican Congressional Candidate Says ‘Holocaust Never Happened’

Art Jones, who hopes to challenge Democrat Dan Lipinski in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District, neither denies nor repudiates his past affiliation with the neo-Nazi Party.

A congressional candidate running as a Republican in the upcoming Illinois primary says the “Holocaust never happened.”

Arthur Jones, 64, a Lyons, IL, insurance salesman who organizes family-friendly, neo-Nazi events around Adolf Hitler’s birthday, hopes to be the Republican candidate chosen to run againstDemocratic Congressman Dan Lipinski in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District.

“As far as I’m concerned, the Holocaust is nothing more than an international extortion racket by the Jews,” Jones said. “It’s the blackest lie in history. Millions of dollars are being made by Jews telling this tale of woe and misfortune in books, movies, plays and TV….

Part of the reason he’s jumping in again is what he describes as Lipinski’s strange affiliation with the American Israel Pro Israel Affairs Committee.

“(The committee) was bragging on their website how (Lipinski) is ‘spearheading’ the effort in the House of Representatives with a Jewish congressman from Virginia named Frank Wolf,” Jones said. “The two are spearheading an effort in the House to get tough with Iran, including closing off any oil exports to China that could lead to World War III.”

While Jones said Wolf was Jewish, he is Presbyterian.

Mr. Jones fits right in with the Limbaugh Republican sect, calling College girls “whores” while flying off in their private jets to child prostitution capitals for “getaways”. And Frank Wolf is not Jewish, He is Christian. He is also my Congressman in this District so I know him pretty well.

Then there is Republican Delegate Mary Franson, who calls Food Stamp recipients…”animals”.

Rep. Mary Franson compares food stamp recipients to animals and GOP pulls the video

The Minnesota House GOP was smart enough to pull down the video, but dumb enough to put a camera in front of someone challenged in both brain and heart. They were too slow forHongPong on YouTube, who saved and uploaded it, with a hat tip to Bluestem Prairie where I found the video posted.

About 1:50 in, Franson read “this little funny clip we got from a friend”:

It says, ‘Isn’t it ironic that the food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever.Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to please not feed the animals, because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves.

This comparison of people receiving some form of government assistance (that’s almost everybody, but of course they mean the poor, not themselves) to animals is a minor meme on the right. Franson and her anonymous “funny” clip writer join the infamous ranks of Nebraska AG and GOP US Senate candidate Jon Bruning who compared poor people to raccoons eating cockroaches, and South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer who compared them to stray animals that breed too much when fed by children.

The Bush War – A Prostitution of Religion

The interesting part of this interview isn’t the first half – it’s the second half where Baptist Reverend C. Welton Gaddy speaks and directly condemns the Bushsquat Administration’s perversion of Religion to gain political advantage…

“A prostitution of religion”.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Now it’s understandable why President Obama doesn’t want to prosecute the massive criminal enterprise which was the last Administration. The last time Congress got wrapped around that axle, during the 2 year failed attempt to impeach and convict President Clinton for his sexual improprieties – the Rethugs brought Congress, and much of the government to a complete standstill while our enemies planned and eventually executed the atrocity of 9-11.

There simply are too many problems created by the Rethugs on the economic front, on the legal front, on the crumbling infrastructure point to allow Congress to devolve into a multi-year effort of trial and recrimination.

To put it simply, if a thug shoots your mother in an attempt to rob her, and runs away – is your first action to see to her welfare, or to leave her lying on the ground as you chase the thug?

It may be mighty satisfying to catch the thug, and deliver him to Justice…

But then, if she died because you didn’t call 9-11 in time?

It’s a lousy hand America has been dealt.

Jesse Ventura Smackdown of Hasselbeck on “The View”

Jesse Venture rips the Rethugs a new rectal orifice! Cutting through the Pelosi BS, Ventura points out that waterboarding is torture – the very same sort of torture we, as a country decried during the Vietnam War when it was done to our soldiers.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

To be honest, Pelosi has been a lousy Democrat leader. If the Rethugs are sucessful in pulling her down – a lot of oflks on her side of the isle will cheer. I find it utterly amazing the Rethugs could impeach Clinton for a blow job, and the Dems couldn’t, and wouldn’t impeach the Dick for treason, and the Bushsquat for lying not only to Congress…

But the whole damn country.

With Rummy’s inclusion of bibilical quotes on the covers of Pentagon Briefings, it’s fairly plain that this country was in the thrall of our very own American Taliban. An American Taliban who sunk our country to the lowest levels in persuit of a self inflicted Jihad in Iraq, and who fractured or broke every law that inconvienced their immoral and brutal tactics.

The country is not going to push past this by covering it up. There needs to be a full and public accounting, complete with long jail terms for the guilty, and the purgatory of American Public Opinion for the abettors.
