Searching for a White Trayvon – The “Knockout Game”

First the Faux News racist sensationalism –

The Knockout Game Myth and its Racist Roots

The stories are chilling–conjuring a world of senseless, alien violence as incomprehensible as it is reprehensible. Rightfully, we are mortified and outraged and we fear for a country in which A Clockwork Orange ultra-violence finds life in our streets. The analysis of many pundits is startling: these attacks are racially motivated hate crimes against whites by black youths and the media and our politicians refuse to identify these racist motives out of political correctness.

What goes mostly unspoken in these commentaries on the “knockout game” is the idea that these assaults are racially motivated and so white people should be wary of groups of black men. Some take this further and blame the “liberal media” for the violence, since the media allegedly hid the “truth” about the race of the criminals. If only the media would tell us when black people attack white people, we’d know to not trust them and we’d be safe, the logic goes.

But are these pundits correct? Are these crimes committed by roaming packs of black “savages” against white people?

Here’s the fascinating thing about this “spreading” trend: nobody seems to have any evidence that it’s spreading, or that it’s new, or that it’s racially motivated, or that black youths are the ones typically responsible, or that whites are typically targeted. This hasn’t stopped Mark SteynThomas Sowell, andMatt Walsh from describing this specifically as a crime committed by blacks against whites, CNN from claiming that it is “spreading,” or Alec Torres at NRO from say it is “evidently increasing [in] popularity.” Most sources claim that it is spreading, and a number of sources claim that it is racially motivated. But how do they know? Where are they getting their data from?

Alec Torres wrote what appears to be the most thorough survey of all the reported accounts of the “knockout game,” but these “reports” are actually newspaper reports, not police reports, so they don’t give us a reliable picture. Yet, Torres is confident enough to conclude: “Most of the victims have been whites and Asians, and attackers tend to target Jews, immigrants, and the elderly in particular. Most of the attackers have been African American.”

“Most” is an awfully slippery word to describe a increasingly popular, violent hate crime.

What’s very perplexing about Torres’s post is that he quotes multiple times from an award-winning article by John H. Tucker in Riverfront Times titled, Knockout King: Kids call it a game. Academics call it a bogus trend. Cops call it murder. I say this citation is perplexing because Tucker’s article explains quite clearly why sweeping claims about rising incidences of the “knockout game” and the racial identities of the perpetrators and victims are bogus. Tucker helps us see how many commentaries about these assaults are deeply flawed.

First of all, we don’t have reliable data:

A variety of factors make it impossible to quantify how many assaults can be attributed to Knockout King. For one, police often categorize such attacks as attempted robberies; though participants say theft isn’t the motive, they’ve been known to add larceny to injury when the opportunity presents itself. Moreover, because victims usually don’t get a good look at their assailant, incidents seldom result in charges. Many of the most vulnerable victims don’t file police reports, either because they fear revenge or were taught in their native countries not to trust police.

In order to draw any remotely competent conclusion about these assaults, you’d have to deal with all the above problems and also consider if crimes by whites are reported as frequently as crimes by blacks, whether teens of other races might refer to the game by another name or not label it at all, how the percentage of attacks by blacks compares to the general percentage of assaults by black teens, and so on. Analyzing data is not as simple as watching some YouTube videos and Googling “knockout game.” Here’s Tucker again:

Given that 4.3 million violent attacks were reported by U.S. citizens in 2009, according to the National Crime Victimization Survey, Males [a research fellow at the nonprofit Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice] says reporters should know better than to highlight a handful of random attacks by kids and call it journalism. It’s the same thing as plucking a few instances of attackers with Jewish surnames who beat up non-Jews and declaring it a “troubling new trend,” he argues.

All but two of the ten victims . . . interviewed were white (one was black and was Latino), and all of the players were black. But Knockout King does not appear to be bounded by race. Jason, from St. Louis County, says two white friends were part of his punch-out crew. One Dutchtown woman, agreeing to speak on the condition that her name not be published, says police caught her son, who is white, playing Knockout King. . . .

“It’s not a black thing, it’s a kid thing,” the woman says. “It’s teenage kids trying to be cool. My son’s as white as can be. He doesn’t have a black bone in his body.”

How could Torres read this article and yet still come to the conclusion that the assaults are on the rise and that “most” of them involve black assailants and white or asian victims? In his defense, other pundits have drawn the same conclusion, despite the lack of evidence.

Of course, there are some things we can confidently say about these crimes: “Most criminologists and youth experts agree that unprovoked attacks by teenagers on strangers are a real, if extremely rare, phenomenon,” notes Tucker. What’s more, unquestionably these attacks are horrid and inhumane, Mark Steyn is right that these perpetrators lack a basic moral fortitude, the guilty parties must be apprehended and punished, and the public should be warned about the realities of random violent crime. And we might even admit that some of these assaults appear to have been hate crimes. None of these claims are objectionable because we have evidence for them.

What we don’t have evidence for is the claim that this “game” is becoming increasingly popular or that it is part of a larger problem of black mob violence which the media is ignoring. To support such absurd claims we need to turn elsewhere, away from the experts and the data, to a man who has made a name for himself peddling a book which purports to show that a covert race war is being waged by blacks against whites all across the country, and the knockout game is just one weapon in their arsenal.

Before almost anyone else was talking about the “knockout game,” Colin Flaherty was reporting on it and other incidences of what he calls “black mob violence” for WorldNetDaily, the notoriously deceptive, far-right news and opinions site. His schtick is simple: every time he finds a report of black “mob” violence or black on white violence, he writes about it. He’s compiled many of these incidences into his book, White Girl Bleed A Lotwhich is ranked #1,455 under “Books” at Amazon as of Sunday evening, 24th of November. Its high ranking is undoubtedly due to the press he’s been getting. Hannity had him on his radio show. And Thomas Sowell’s article on the knockout game, which was published in the New York Post and the National Review Online, cites Flaherty and repeats much of the WND author’s rhetoric about the national epidemic of racial violence that the media has covered up. This isn’t too surprising, since Sowell’s original review of the book was actually published on the NRO’s website, where he gave the book high praise. His book has also received praise from Allen West, David Horowitz, and American Thinker.

What’s surprising about all the positive press Flaherty has received is that his articles purporting to prove this epidemic of black racial violence are incredibly, basically absurd. And that absurdity, the lengths Flaherty is willing to go to support his assertion about the secret race war can really only be interpreted as bigotry. Flaherty deceives his readers to sell his book, peddling the classic white fear of the savage, violent, black man, mixed in with a little contemporary rhetoric about how the “liberal,” politically correct media is covering up for black thugs. This narrative fits nicely into the larger perception that Obama has created a nation of entitled, lazy, and violent blacks, which I have written about before.

The most basic flaw in his argument is that his entire project is one big stacked evidence fallacy. If you only cite examples of black crime, of course you’ll conclude that there’s a national racial crime wave! Using that “logic” I can prove that any group is waging a secret race war (it is interesting to note that Robert Spencer of JihadWatch uses a very similar method to argue that Muslims are dangerous). On top of that egregious error, Flaherty entirely ignores all other characteristics of the crimes: social class, education, setting; nothing else matters except race to him. Any respectable criminologist would scoff at such a methodology, not because they want to be politically correct, but because it’s a gross reduction of the factors that actually contribute to crime. Next, Flaherty fails to recognize that correlation does not equal causation. So, because a black person commits a violent crime, his blackness must have caused it, in Flaherty’s logic. And because a black party got out of hand, it’s a “race riot.” Yes, that’s right, because the partiers were black, it was a “race” riot. Because “black” is a race. Makes perfect sense, right?

When the media doesn’t mention that a violent crime was committed by a black person, that’s evidence of a cover up for Flaherty. In one article, he describes calling and emailing the police to try to learn the racial makeup of a party that turned into a “mob”:

“What happened? Was this a case of black mob violence?”

No reply. I get that a lot. It is a red flag.

So, he called the police and explicitly asked if an incident was “black mob violence,” and when he got no reply, it was confirmation to him that the police were hiding the truth. My guess is that in most of these cases, the media and police are silent about the race of the perpetrators because “race” isn’t really a factor in the crimes.

Flaherty regularly stacks and exaggerates the evidence (also see here, or here, or here).

Colin Flaherty and his project have been cited repeatedly to support the claim that the “knockout game” is really about racial violence against whites.  He’s been cited to this end not just in far-right publications like WND, or FrontPageMag, but in the National Review Online, one of the most respected conservative journals, and one that I like to recommend. His conspiracy is extremely racist, as Flaherty reduces everything down to the color of the criminal’s skin, regardless of the facts. He consistently distorts the truth in order to portray black people as the savage, animalistic, and Other.

We need to be honest and accurate about these crimes, neither sharing the hysteria and racial fear-mongering nor trivializing the reality of these crimes. This isn’t easy to balance. We have the right to be concerned about random violence and the authorities have the responsibility to protect us and prosecute violent criminals. But we also have the responsibility to tell the truth about our neighbor and the world.

And no Faux news race baiting is complete without the resident ncle Tom –

Bro Love – The KKK’s Glowing Endorsement of the Tea Party

Seems the White Nationalist set is quite taken with their new (Koch Brothers) subsidiary – the Tea Party…

But first let’s get in some buckdancing by the Tea Party’s favorite Lawn Jockey – Alan West…

Is The Tea Party Racist? Ask Some Actual, Out-Of-The Closet Racists

Tea Party and Republican leaders have been quick to condemn Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) for his recent comparison of the tea party and the Ku Klux Klan. But avowed racists involved in the white nationalist movement might beg to agree with the Florida Democrat.

The KKK, for its part, isn’t sure whether the hood fits. “The tea party is a very widespread organization and there’s many tea party groups in the country, so I don’t know if they are necessarily even in agreement with each other,” pastor Thomas Robb, national director of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, told HuffPost. “Likewise, The Klan, people use the phrase Klan who are not associated with us … that I would be 100 percent opposed to.”

“It’s hard to come up with a name of a group and say well how do they compare with another group,” he added. “That’s like asking First Baptist Church in Dallas whether they agree with the Methodist church in Birmingham, or even a Baptist church in Birmingham. So it’s very difficult to say how we compare with the tea party.”

But the conversation continues beyond even the Klan itself, and insight into how openly racist people view the tea party can be gleaned from a long-running debate among white supremacists at the website Stormfront.org.

Stormfront — whose motto is “White Pride World Wide” — is among the most popular white nationalist (WN, in the community’s lexicon) gathering spots online, and discussion of the tea party is a regular part of the chatter. One thread, started in 2011 and still active recently, debates just how racist the tea party is. In the evil, upside-down world of white supremacy, the label of racist is meant as a compliment and, to many Stormfront posters, the tea party earns high marks.

The thread can be read here, but the debate breaks down into roughly two camps, one arguing that the tea party is a dead end for white nationalists and the other side arguing that many in the tea party already have racist attitudes and present an opportunity for white nationalists to ply their message. The only area of agreement seemed to be that the tea party loses its way in its strong support of Israel, which the neo-Nazi Stormfront crowd does not appreciate.

Grayson has stood by his comparison. “If the hood fits, wear it,” he said. “The Tea Party has engaged in relentless racist attacks against our African-American President. For example, when the President visited my home of Orlando, Tea Party protesters shouted ‘Kenyan Go Home.’ Other examples include Tea Party chants of ‘Bye Bye, Blackbird,’ and Tea Party posters saying ‘Obama’s Plan: White Slavery,’ ‘Imam Obama Wants to Ban Pork’ and ‘The Zoo Has An African Lion, and the White House Has a Lyin’ African.'”

Many of the racists participating in the Stormfront discussion say they themselves are either tea party members or have attended multiple tea party meetings. But, to be sure, the tea party has quite literally millions of supporters and many, many of those people are not remotely racist, as the racists on Stormfront readily lament. And even the examples of racist language and signage at tea party rallies pales in comparison to the domestic terrorism carried out by the KKK — cross-burning, beatings, lynchings, bombings, murder.

Yet, the Stormfront conversations show that the perception of the tea party as having a racist element is not merely held by Grayson or Rev. Al Sharpton, but is a view shared by the kind of people who would know. The comments below are copied from Stormfront and were made by people the site lists as having been longstanding members who have posted hundreds, and in most cases thousands, of times on the site, making it unlikely that they are liberal plants trying to make the tea party look bad. Quite the opposite: Many of the Neo Nazis below rushed to the tea party’s defense when other white nationalists accused its members of being insufficiently racist.

Stormfront poster SSVicious argued that tea partiers should not be written off because many are knee-jerk racist toward darker-skinned people, but are not sophisticated enough in their racial analysis to be sufficiently anti-Semitic. It’s a start, SSVicious said.

“They are realistic about certain things…i.e. that blacks are more prone to be criminals, less intelligent, etc…..But if you bring up Israel… oh my, you might as well be a Muslim extremist (the thing that Tea Partiers hate the most),” said SSVicious, with the ellipses in the original. “A lot of them are those kinds of people we like and dislike at the same time… They know racial differences that are in their face, yet they aren’t smart enough or haven’t had the chance yet to connect the dots that lead to a certain group of people (the Jews).”

Culturalist put it more succinctly. “They care about race but may not be sympathetic to the neo Nazi, Jew hater side of WN,” the poster said.

In 2011, when Grayson called the tea party “callous, bigoted tools,” a Stormfronter expressed surprise. “What the *beep*?? This is coming from the same guy who grilled Ben Bernanke,” said Sieben Elf, referring to Grayson’s viral demolition of the Federal Reserve chairman, who runs an organization many white nationalists believe is controlled by a Jewish cabal.

“Grayson’s Der Jude,” Sieben Elf wrote in a follow-up post by way of explanation. “Funny, he doesn’t look Jewish.”

In response to one Stormfronter lamenting that the tea party is not sufficiently racist, a poster who goes by the handle “true believer” argues: “Well if you eliminated everyone who didn’t fit perfectly into your ideal candidate you would be so marginalized that you couldn’t get anyone in. I mean we all lost our calling by time and place when we weren’t in the Fatherland in 1938,” true believer wrote, referring to Nazi Germany. “Perhaps you would just let the commie Democrats continue to run the show under there leader the alien commie Muslim Obama. Lighten up here to get success you have to make small steps at first. Let’s see if we can all just get along with our natural allies here. May Adolf be with you.”

Another poster, Mike212311 noted that the “Taxed Enough Already movement may not be wholly WN, however there is plenty of racial awareness out there. That’s where it begins; with awareness.”

Many others suggested working closely with a local tea party chapter, and shared stories of doing so themselves. “I’ve joined so far three local Tea Party Groups locally and have been encouraging all my employees and friends and relatives to do the same. We have been very successful,” one said. ‘[F]rankly it’s been working like a charm for well over two years. These people have money, time and a hell of a lot of local influence and most aren’t afraid to use it-all they need is a little encouragement, direction and leadership.”

Strelnikov bragged, “got about half the people to applaude my attack on legal immigration this week. Our t-party is middle class. These people don’t look rich. After the meeting they practically swarmed my table to pick up free ‘Take Back America!!!’ bumper stickers. I’m getting other stuff in their hands too. Our meetings appear to be 100% white in a county that is 65% white.”

For BloddRaven, the question of whether racists were involved with the tea party was a silly one.

“What a ridicules thread,” the poster observed. “Saying Tea partyiers aren’t WNists is like saying Ron Paul supports aren’t WNists. While it’s true not all are, it’s also true many are.”

Lawn Ornament Alert! Alan West

This Lawn Jockey is crazy!

A debate…With President Obama? Think it was Richard Pryor who put it best on one of his albums…”This N(*&(**^ is Crazy!”

Allen West: I’ve ‘Heard’ 80 House Democrats Are Communist Party Members

As many as 80 House Democrats are communists, according to Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.).

West warned constituents at a Tuesday town hall event that he’s “heard” that dozens of his Democratic colleagues in the House are members of the Communist Party, thePalm Beach Post reported. West wouldn’t elaborate beyond that, however, and didn’t offer up any names. There are currently 190 House Democrats.

A request for comment from West’s spokeswoman was not immediately returned.

During the same event, which took place at Florida Atlantic University, the freshman Republican said President Barack Obama wouldn’t have a public debate with him over their policy differences because he was “scared.” The president was in Florida on Tuesday giving remarks about the economy and holding campaign events.

“I really wish that, standing here before you, was Allen West and President Obama,” West said, according to the Palm Beach Post. “We could have a simple discussion. But that ain’t ever gonna happen.”

When an audience member asked why, West said in “a mocking voice” that it was because Obama “was too scared.”

Alan West Goes Full Uncle Tom – Compares Self to Harriet Tubman

This is one sick piece of shit…

Meanwhile Janeane Garofolo over on Olbermann’s show hits Part Deux of the Tea Bagger’s Minstrel Show –

Garofalo: Herman Cain “Being Paid To Run,” Has Stockholm Syndrome

Liberal activist and actress Janeane Garofalo appeared on Keith Olbermann’s “Countdown” show on the Current TV network Wednesday night. Garofalo went on several rants, one of which included accusing the Tea Party, which she calls a “fundamentalist” movement, of racism.

Garofalo also said successful businessman Herman Cain is either being paid to run or is suffering from Stockholm syndrome because he is a “person of color” running as a Republican in the party’s presidential primary.

“[He’s] in this presidential race because he deflects the racism that is inherent in the Republican party, the conservative movement, the Tea Party certainly. [In] the last 30 years the Republican party has been moving more and more to the right, but also race-baiting more. Gay-baiting more. Religion-baiting more,” Garofalo said. Alan West Flunks That “Officer and a Gentleman” Quiz… Again

The reason Alan West got kicked out of the Army is torturing a prisoner, while half a dozen of his soldiers held him down.

Seems West is showing the same sort of “courage under fire” now.

West trashes Wasserman Schultz as ‘vile’ for budget comments

Tea-party favorite Allen West called fellow Broward U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz “vile and despicable” in an email after she trashed a Republican budget-cutting plan Tuesday night on the House floor.

In his verbal explosion, the Plantation Republican suggested his beef with Wasserman Schultz began in October 2010 and “the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign” headquarters in Deerfield Beach, West said in his email. But what finally set West off was the fact that Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair, said on the House floor that it was “unbelievable from a Member from South Florida” to support a plan that slashes Medicaid and Medicare “in favor of protecting tax breaks for Big Oil, millionaires, and companies who ship American jobs overseas.” She never identified West by name.

West, who had left the House floor by that point, then dashed off his retort.

“Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!,” West wrote.

“Understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior,” West continued. “You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!”

The war of words underscores the tensions in Congress as members grapple with whether and how to raise the debt ceiling. Not only does the squabble pit one of the most liberal members of Congress against of its most conservative, it’s a sign of the polarizing politics in Broward County where their districts border each other.

Alan West – And the Failure of Lawn Jockey, Release 4.0

Here we have Tea Bagger Lawn Jockey extraordinaire, Alan West claiming the Chinese own the Panama Canal…

Small problem with that… Panama owns the Panama Canal, and has since the US turned it over to them (to the cries and whines of the conservafool set) since 1999.

AS to his claimed visit to SOUTHCOM – he’s also lying. Nobody there would have told him the major threat to America was Hezbollah in Honduras sipping Mojitos on the beach.

This guy is a liar, a clown, and a disgrace to both the Uniform, and America.

How the Tea Bagger Racism Kills Americans

Those old enough to remember the Vietnam War may remember one of the most divisive and bitterest incidents during the war – the visit by Jane Fonda to North Vietnam while American Troops and North Vietnamese troops were actively engaged in trying to kill each other. Go to any VFW in America, and you will find a bunch of folks who view Jane Fonda with the sort of derision usually reserved for foreign enemies like Hitler or Tojo.

Strongly opposed to the Vietnam War, “Hanoi Jane’s” picture sitting on an anti-aircraft gun utilized to shoot down American Pilots gave me a lot of heartburn. There is a Grand Canyon size distance between opposing the actions of your government, and supporting the folks shooting at your friends, brothers, fathers, and fellow Americans.

Which brings us to the situation today. If Hanoi Jane was a traitor – then so too are the small legion of Tea Baggers currently putting our troops in the Middle East at risk so that they can promote ethnic racism. The Peter Kings, Alan Wests, Herman Cains, Michelle Bachmans et al are traitors too. In the case of Bachman, King, and West – they are even lower level scum because they are elected officials of the US Government, and as such are briefed on what happens to American personnel when crap like their Muslim baiting hits the press.

My position is that these scumbags should be impeached and convicted by their peers – and suffer the legal consequences.

I’m not sure if any Americans were killed in this one – but this is the logical conclusion of the sort of ethnic and religious racism and extremism promote by the Tea Baggers.

How many of our soldiers have died because of these treasonous, racist scum?

UN staff killed during protest in northern Afghanistan

Protesters outside the Blue Mosque in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan (1 April 2011)At least eight foreign UN workers and four others have been killed in an attack on a UN compound in the Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif, officials say.

The violence happened during a protest over the burning of the Koran in a US church last month.

Witnesses said hundreds of people were protesting peacefully in the city when the scene suddenly turned violent.

A local police spokesman told the BBC the city was now under control and a number of people had been arrested.

The UN has confirmed its workers were killed but has not said how many – it said the situation remained “confusing”.

“We are currently working to ascertain all the facts and take care of all our staff,” said spokesman Dan McNorton.

UN officials quoted by Reuters warned that the death toll could rise and added that those killed included foreign and local staff, UN guards and Nepalese Gurkha soldiers hired to protect the compound.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon described it as “an outrageous and cowardly attack”.

US President Barack Obama also condemned the attack “in the strongest possible terms”, saying the work of the UN “is essential to building a stronger Afghanistan”.

F*** condemning the attack, President Obama. What you need to be doing is offering the choice of a rope or a bullet to the right wing American scum whoring our people’s lives for political points.

Lawn Jockey alert! Alan West Attacks Keith Ellison

The Tea Party’s favorite Lawn Jockey is at it again – this time in an attack against Congressman Keith Ellison for being a Muslim…

Folks down in Palm Beach ready for that Recall Election yet?

Keith Ellison’s response to West’s hate fueled diatribe

I was surprised to hear of Congressman West’s comments because he has never expressed these sentiments to me directly.

Contrary to the views expressed by Congressman West, I work to represent the highest ideals of our great nation – ideals like freedom of worship and respect for all faiths, equal protection under the law as well as a civil and open public discourse.

I call on Americans of all colors, cultures and faiths to turn to each other, not on each other, especially in the renewed spirit of finding a more respectful and productive public dialogue.

Americans across the country want their public servants to reject the toxic and corrosive chatter that yields more heat than light. I hope to have a productive and respectful dialogue with all of my colleagues, including Allen West.

Alan West Joins Congressional Black Caucus

Think they signed in the wrong black Republican – but the doors should be open. My problem with the CBC’s membership rules is that Membership is based on the race of the Congressperson… And not their constituency. Seems to me that someone, regardless of race, representing a majority black district should be a member of the CBC. There has been t his huge disconnect in Congress – and not only just the CBC, in that they are not there to serve their constituency, but themselves.

Black caucus swears in first GOP member in years

The liberal Congressional Black Caucus has sworn in its first Republican member in more than a decade, welcoming newly elected congressman Allen West of Florida at a ceremony Wednesday.

West and Tim Scott of South Carolina were elected in November as the first black Republicans in Congress since former Rep. J.C. Watts left eight years ago.

While Scott declined to join the caucus, West pushed for membership, saying he wants to try to steer the group away from what he calls failed social welfare programs and big-government solutions.

A strident conservative, West is the first Republican to join the caucus since Rep. Gary Franks of Connecticut lost his seat in 1997.

The 43-member caucus also elected Missouri Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver as its new chairman.

What I think is interesting is that the CBC could, operating as a group,  effectively tie the House in knots under the Republican Majority. I would love to see them use that sort of power to force Republicans to negotiate, and bargain with the CBC to be able to effectuate anything. Of course it would take someone with strategic vision, courage, and ruthlessness to get it done…

Characteristics which seem in woeful short supply in today’s Democrats.

(And why didn’t Boehner join?)

Takes One to Know One – Alan West Calls WikiLeaks “Criminal”

Allen West CensoringDisgraced Former Colonel Alan West, now disgraceful Congressman from Palm Beach, Florida is calling for censorship.

This disgrace thinks that American News outlets which published WikiLeaks should be censored!

Since most Tea Baggers skip reading the Constitution except for the Second Amendment – it probably sailed right over West’s pinhead as to why, in America (at least until these morons get control)…

The Founding Father’s considered that a bad idea.

Allen West: Government ‘Should Be Censoring The American News Agencies’ That Collaborated With WikiLeaks

WEST: There are different means by which you can be attacked. I mean it doesnt have to be a bomb or an airplane flying into a building. It doesn’t have to be a shooting. It can be through cyber attacks, it could be through leaking of very sensitive classified information. Regardless of whether you think it causes any harm, the fact that here is an individual that is not an American citizen first and foremost, for whatever reason gotten his hands on classified American material and put it out there in the public domain. And I think that we also should be censoring the American news agencies which enabled him to do this and also supported him and applauding him for the efforts. So that’s kind of aiding and abetting of a serious crime.

I have one question…Why isn’t this POS in jail? Putting him in office is analogous to electing Heinrich Himmler to Chancellor of Cultural Affairs for Germany after WWII…

Instead of trying, convicting, and executing him.

At least Himmler had the balls to kill himself.

And no – I don’t support WikiLeaks, or what they have done.

Black Caucus Caves

After a week of the typical Republican racial pandering, the Congressional Black Caucus has followed the Democrat tradition…

And turned chicken-isht.

What they should be doing is offering South Carolina Representative Scott a seat at the table…

While challenging Alan West’s legitimacy to hold a seat in Congress.

Criminals and Felons quite simply should not be eligible to hold a seat in Congress.

Black caucus says it will welcome Republicans

The Congressional Black Caucus says it will allow two recently elected black Republicans to join the group if they ask.

The all-Democratic caucus had wavered over the issue since Tim Scott of South Carolina and Allen West of Florida were elected last week. Chairwoman Barbara Lee had pointed to the group’s liberal mission statement as a potential point of conflict.

But in a statement Tuesday, the group said the two would be welcomed if they request membership.

West has said he wants to join to bring a new perspective to the group. Scott hasn’t decided.

The 42-member caucus has had two Republican members in its four-decade history. The most recent black Republican in Congress, J.C. Watts of Oklahoma, declined to join.

The black caucus includes a handful of moderates but is mostly made up of liberals serving in safe Democratic districts. The addition of Republicans would likely shake up its weekly meetings and require its leaders to navigate around them to discuss strategy.

West, a former Army officer, said in an interview he’s eager to steer the group away from “failing liberal social welfare policies that have caused the demise of the black community.”

West said the black caucus must confront overwhelming issues in the African-American community including high teen pregnancy, incarceration and unemployment rates. Those are issues that require “competence and character,” not the caucus’ “monolithic voice that continues to promote victimization and dependence.”

West defeated Democratic Rep. Ron Klein despite opposition from African-American Democrats such as Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida.
