How To Turn a $15 Ticket… Into Jail Time

16 Jun

This supposed example of “Police brutality” is flying across the WWW. To be brutally honest this officer would have been well within his rights to light these two up with a taser. As to the woman who got punched in the face – Shoving an officer trying to make an arrest?

There certainly are some cops out there who are out of control… Not sure this is one of them.

Cop Caught Punching a Girl in the Face

Seattle police are investigating two teenagers for allegedly assaulting an officer—even though a much-publicized video has surfaced in which said officer punches one of them, 17-year-old Angel Rosenthal, in the face. The incident, caught on the tape above, happened after officer Ian Walsh stopped Rosenthal and three other women for jaywalking. They were “verbally antagonistic towards the officer,” according to the official report, and one, 19-year-old Marilyn Levias, tried walking away.

Walsh tried to drag her back to the car, and, well, you can watch what happened next in the Komo News video above. Levias and Rosenthal were both arrested. Initially, Seattle police said the officer had acted appropriately, but after the video got widespread local media play, the department said it was not only reviewing the incident, but department training procedures, the Seattle Times reports. Officers are taught punching as an official tactic, one sergeant noted.

Yeah – that overhand right was a little weak…

They are lucky not to have ran into a trigger-happy cop that would’ve splatted both there brains over the ground. If I ever decided to pull that stunt with a cop; My residence would be in the morgue.
