Overall it was a pretty lackluster year for Superbowl commercials, saved by a great game. Congrats to the folks of the New Orleans region, and the New Orleans Saints who overcame 43 years of frustration to grab the big prize!
Best commercial?
Little “Bad dude”!
The Doritos commercials which were generated by a public contest were overall the most entertaining in my view – meaning the Ad agencies are seriously out of creative juice.
The worst ads?
GoDaddy.

The Betty White Commercial was also funny, but I have to agree, that one was the realest.

Regarding the game: The two BIG PLAYS belonged to the Saints — the onside kick and the Pick Six. The Colts overcame the onside kick, but the pick six was too late in the game to overcome.
The sequence that hurt the Colts the most in my opinion was toward the end of the first half when their defense had that goal line stand, and the offense went three and out. I thought they would go for the jugular right then and go in at halftime up 17-3, instead, they punted the ball and the Saints got the field goal to end the half.
One of the reasons I wanted the Colts to win is so that Peyton wouldn’t catch so much flak for “not winning the big one.” Better to have a Super Bowl record of 1-1 than nothing at all, but the punditrazzi is having a field day.

John Elway got the same flak, and didn’t win a superbowl until the sunset of his career. I think Peyton can keep going for a while, and still could win the “big one”.
