Several weeks ago the right wing noise machine attacked Van Jones for having signed a petition by 9-11 “Truthers”. A group that believes that there are a lot of unresolved issues and questions surrounding 9-11.
Truthers were depicted as a radical left wing fringe. While they may arguably be a small faction, the folks who believe there was something rotten about 9-11, cross all party lines, as this video proves.

As to Mr. Chertoff, while he isn’t the most charismatic and dynamic speaker in the world, he is one of the handful (one hand) of folks of the thousands appointed by the Bush Administration who is extremely well qualified, and was an outstanding pick. He inherited a disaster from Tom Ridge (not all Ridge’s fault), based on the huge problems of making the new amalgamated mess that is Homeland Security work. And sans political interference, such as the appointment of unqualified Bushbots into key positions, Chertoff has done a great job.
