Republicans are keeping up with their campaign to disrupt and harass Democrat legislators attempting to meet with their constituents in Town Hall Meetings. Members of the SEIU Union were present to represent their interests in supporting Health Care Reform. The result was a clash –
There is no video evidence of who may have thrown the first punch, but at least one hired Tea Bagger is complaining of a beat down.
Kenneth Gladney, 38, a self identified black Republican from St. Louis who said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don’t tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room on Thursday night at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was awaiting treatment for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face.
“It just seems there’s no freedom of speech without being attacked,” Gladney said. On Friday, he said he had been hired by the Tea Party folks to hand out the flags and added: “I was attacked for something I believe in.”
It would appear Mr. Gladney decided to prostitute his race by providing some otherwise missing “color” to the Tea Bagger mini-riot, for money. It now is evident that the Tea Baggers, stung by criticisms of racism, are hiring local maladjusted black folks to provide some black faces in their audiences for cover. In view that their modus operendi is to violently disrupt and prevent American Citizens from meeting peacefully and discussing issues with their representatives…
The result is predictable.
What is also predictable is that the Tea Baggers will escalate with guns – simply because that has been the historical pattern for right wing groups of this ilk in the US.
