Did I miss Something… Is Madoff Black?

29 Jun

150 years…

150 YEARS?

So much for Jewish people having become white. Bernie Madoff got more years for his massive white collar crime than your average black person gets for having a gram of crack cocaine…

And near as much as for being black while having two grams.

Damn… This is a first. Maybe the federal courts are finally getting serious about white collar crime?

I doubt it. It had a lot more to do with who the folks were who Bernie ripped off.

Of course he’ll be doing time at Club Fed.

Now – then there is Mark Stanford, or Lord Stanford as he likes to be called since being Knighted by the Queen of England.

BT: Madoff pissed off way too many (white) folks, Jewish or otherwise, by loosing BILLIONS of dollars of their money. There’s no way he was gonna get off easy, Club Fed or otherwise. I really would’ve been surprised if he got off easier.

I think th issue was that he was unrepentant. AND he stole money from a lot of charities.

I just saw the sentencing on the news… I see what you mean by unrepentant.

I didn’t catch the Judge’s name, but in Jewish circles, Madoff is akin to Hitler. My mother for years worked for a Beverly Hills Jewish Dentist, and many of his elderly patients were ruined by Madoff. What do you wanna bet the Judge knew someone who got shafted.

I’m with T-shirts, often a sentence is a reflection on the victim, not the perp. Remember in the spring the story of the Morehouse student who was basically sentenced to graduate from college after shooting a classmate outside a club?

Yeah I remember he Morehouse case.

Madoff was the most powerful guy on Wall Street, if not one of the most powerful financial guys in the world.

He hurt a lot of people.
