So…When are any Republicans going to step up to rejecting endorsements by the Tea Party Express and their racist leader, Mark Williams?
Don’t hold your breath!
Idaho’s Walt Minnick cites racist blog post
Idaho Rep. Walt Minnick would rather do without the distinction of being the only Democrat ever endorsed by the Tea Party Express. In the wake of the flap over a racist blog post by group spokesman Mark Williams, Minnick is rejecting the Tea Party Express endorsement he grudgingly accepted in April. “The reprehensible blog post by your spokesman was clearly in poor taste,” Minnick wrote to the group. “Since the Tea Party Express refuses to reject and rebuke Mr. Williams, I have no choice but to decline your endorsement.”
Minnick, a fiscal conservative from Boise, appeared relieved to have a reason to rid himself of the endorsement, the New York Daily News reports. “Being on a list with Joe Wilson and Michele Bachmann is not something we are embracing,” Minnick’s spokesman said.

Apparently David Webb got taken out to the woodshed last night after kicking Mark Williams and the Tea Party Express out of the Federation. Notice how evasive Mr. Webb gets in response to direct questioning…
The point here is Mr. Webb is trying to do a backpedal. Oh No! What Massa Williams said isn’t “racist”!
Now the truth of the matter is the Tea Party Federation only represents a very small portion of the overall Tea Party – possibly only a few thousand people. What it is beginning to look like is Webb was selected to put a black face on things…
And he gleefully buckdanced right on out front and center.
The racist Tea Partier’s Black Supporter of the Year… Indeed.
Tea Party Black Supporter of the Year - Mr. David Webb!

Mark Williams’ letter on his blog seems to have done something which sheer reason could not – move the Tea Party into kicking out at least one racist element…
The National Tea Party Federation, an organization that represents the Tea Party political movement around the country, has expelled conservative commentator Mark Williams and his Tea Party Express because of an inflammatory blog post he wrote, federation spokesman David Webb said Sunday.
Appearing on the CBS program “Face the Nation,” Webb said that Williams and the Tea Party Express — which has held a series of events across the country to generate support for the movement — no longer were part of the National Tea Party Federation.
“We, in the last 24 hours, have expelled Tea Party Express and Mark Williams from the National Tea Party Federation because of the letter that he wrote,” Webb said of the blog post by Williams that satirized a fictional letter from what he called “Colored People” to President Abraham Lincoln.
Webb called the blog post “clearly offensive.”
Williams did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday afternoon.
Williams wrote the blog post in response to a resolution by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) that called on Tea Party leaders to crack down on racist elements in the movement.
