NY Governor David Paterson
The New York State Senate has been embroiled in a bitter controversy and gridlock for several weeks now. Two Democrat Senators, both of whom appear to have been under investigation for illicit activities suddenly decided to jump the fence and become Republicans under seedy, if not downright questionable circumstances. The jump resulted in moving majority control of the New York State Senate to the Republicans, who had – until the current session ruled for 30 years.
The Democrats protested, and fought back – resulting in one of the Senators returning to the Democrat Party, and a 31-31 gridlock. Emotions are running extremely high, with Democrats accusing Republicans of shady dealings.
Meanwhile, the people’s business is at a standstill.
In steps the Gov. Whose indecision and missteps in the selection of a Senator to fill Hillary Clinton’s vacant seat resulted in his popularity rating being only slightly higher than Dick Cheney’s and Swine Flu.
I smell a comeback!
