Tea Party Social Cancelled Due to Shutdown

A Tea Party Social was cancelled as an unintended consequence of shutting the government down… One only wonders how long it will be before Republican Tea Baggers rush to Gettysburg to defend their “patriotic” kin…

KKK Rally At Gettysburg Canceled Because Of Government Shutdown

A Ku Klux Klan rally planned for Saturday, Oct. 5 has been canceled because of thegovernment shutdown.

On Sept. 26, officials at Gettysburg National Military Park granted a special-use permit for a rally to a Maryland-based KKK group. According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the event was canceled when park officials rescinded all permits for special events because of the shutdown, which began 12 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

“Tourists will find every one of America’s national parks and monuments, from Yosemite to the Smithsonian to the Statue of Liberty, immediately closed,” Obama said in a statement Tuesday. “And of course the communities and small business that rely on these national treasures for their livelihoods will be out of customers and out of luck.”

But not everyone took the closing of national parks and monuments sitting down. A group of World War II veterans visiting the National Mall on Tuesday stormed the WWII Memorial – which is now technically closed to the public — to pay their respects.

National Disgrace

Back in the late 1990′s when Republicans were on their first disastrous campaign controlling Congress and setting the foundation for economic collapse, they bastardized the name of our National Airport between orgasms sniffing every little blue dress in town.

The so called Captains of returning authority to the States and local authorities used the very same Federal Government authority they constantly bemoan,  to jam the name of their hero, Ronald Raygun down the collective throats of the local citizenry and governments and affix it to our National Airport.

Many locals still refuse to use Raygun’s name when referring to the airport, preferring instead to use it’s real name – National Airport. You want to go to Reagan Airport – then you are on your way to Orange County, California.

Well, with the unveiling of yet another affront to the local citizenry – if you are flying with Fido, at least he has a better place to relieve himself than one of the local hydrants before being packed away for the long flight.

Reagan Statue Unveiled at Namesake Airport Near DC

The 18 million passengers who travel in and out of the nation’s capital through Reagan National Airport each year will now be greeted by a 9-foot tall, nearly $1 million bronze statue of the former president that was unveiled Tuesday.

The statue is the fourth dedicated this year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, which operates his presidential library. Tuesday’s unveiling also gave travelers an opportunity to revisit the dormant debate over whether Reagan was worthy of having his name put on the airport that had long been known simply as “National.”

Many D.C.-area residents resented the change when it was approved by Congress in 1998, and it seems the passage of 13 years has done little to soften people’s opinions.

“I’ve never understood the people who feel he’s such a beloved figure,” said Kathleen Meehan of Madison, Wis., as she waited for her flight. “My daughter refuses to call it ‘Reagan.’” The only thing Meehan gave Reagan credit for was “the destruction of the middle class.”

Jessica Denson of Washington said she continues to refer to it as “National.” Her travel partner, New Orleans resident Terry Scott, agreed.

“It’s crazy that they salivate over this guy like he was an angel. What’s next, canonization?” Scott asked. “It’s like John Wayne airport (in California). I won’t use John Wayne.”

But Carol Ole, who was headed back to Atlanta after watching her nephew run the Marine Corps Marathon, was thrilled to see the statue being unveiled.

“I love it. I’m a real conservative,” she said…

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority also spent about $80,000 on site preparations.

Alan West Flunks That “Officer and a Gentleman” Quiz… Again

The reason Alan West got kicked out of the Army is torturing a prisoner, while half a dozen of his soldiers held him down.

Seems West is showing the same sort of “courage under fire” now.

West trashes Wasserman Schultz as ‘vile’ for budget comments

Tea-party favorite Allen West called fellow Broward U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz “vile and despicable” in an email after she trashed a Republican budget-cutting plan Tuesday night on the House floor.

In his verbal explosion, the Plantation Republican suggested his beef with Wasserman Schultz began in October 2010 and “the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign” headquarters in Deerfield Beach, West said in his email. But what finally set West off was the fact that Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair, said on the House floor that it was “unbelievable from a Member from South Florida” to support a plan that slashes Medicaid and Medicare “in favor of protecting tax breaks for Big Oil, millionaires, and companies who ship American jobs overseas.” She never identified West by name.

West, who had left the House floor by that point, then dashed off his retort.

“Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!,” West wrote.

“Understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior,” West continued. “You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!”

The war of words underscores the tensions in Congress as members grapple with whether and how to raise the debt ceiling. Not only does the squabble pit one of the most liberal members of Congress against of its most conservative, it’s a sign of the polarizing politics in Broward County where their districts border each other.

Alan West – And the Failure of Lawn Jockey, Release 4.0

Here we have Tea Bagger Lawn Jockey extraordinaire, Alan West claiming the Chinese own the Panama Canal…

Small problem with that… Panama owns the Panama Canal, and has since the US turned it over to them (to the cries and whines of the conservafool set) since 1999.

AS to his claimed visit to SOUTHCOM – he’s also lying. Nobody there would have told him the major threat to America was Hezbollah in Honduras sipping Mojitos on the beach.

This guy is a liar, a clown, and a disgrace to both the Uniform, and America.

Full Metal Moron – F. Lee Ermy Embarrasses Toys for Tots

In this day and age I am pretty careful about giving to Charities. Far too many spend most of what they get in donations on salaries and fundraising, with only a small percentage getting to the cause.

One of the charities which I fully support is the Marine Corps “Toys for Tots”. When you put the toys in those collection baskets you know they are going to get to the intended needy.

F. Lee Ermy is an actor who parlayed a bit role in a movie into a full time job on The Military Channel. His over the top depiction of a stereotypical Marine Drill Sergeant is masterful and pure comedy. In this appearance though – he does a huge disservice to the Marine Corps, and disgraces a fantastic charity - “Toys for Tots”.

Ermy appears on stage apparently inebriated. His job is to promote the Toys for Tots Charity. Instead the “jackwagon” launches into a political spiel about the Obama Administration and “socialism: and even gets in a promo for Glen Beck’s Faux News Show…

None of which has a damn thing to do with Toys for Tots.

Think it’s time for the fake Drill Sergeant meets a real Drill Sergeant for a review of “accomplishing mission objectives”. F. Lee Ermy comes off as a fraud – and that is a shame in his misrepresentation of such a great cause.

Takes One to Know One – Alan West Calls WikiLeaks “Criminal”

Allen West CensoringDisgraced Former Colonel Alan West, now disgraceful Congressman from Palm Beach, Florida is calling for censorship.

This disgrace thinks that American News outlets which published WikiLeaks should be censored!

Since most Tea Baggers skip reading the Constitution except for the Second Amendment – it probably sailed right over West’s pinhead as to why, in America (at least until these morons get control)…

The Founding Father’s considered that a bad idea.

Allen West: Government ‘Should Be Censoring The American News Agencies’ That Collaborated With WikiLeaks

WEST: There are different means by which you can be attacked. I mean it doesnt have to be a bomb or an airplane flying into a building. It doesn’t have to be a shooting. It can be through cyber attacks, it could be through leaking of very sensitive classified information. Regardless of whether you think it causes any harm, the fact that here is an individual that is not an American citizen first and foremost, for whatever reason gotten his hands on classified American material and put it out there in the public domain. And I think that we also should be censoring the American news agencies which enabled him to do this and also supported him and applauding him for the efforts. So that’s kind of aiding and abetting of a serious crime.

I have one question…Why isn’t this POS in jail? Putting him in office is analogous to electing Heinrich Himmler to Chancellor of Cultural Affairs for Germany after WWII…

Instead of trying, convicting, and executing him.

At least Himmler had the balls to kill himself.

And no – I don’t support WikiLeaks, or what they have done.
