The Sno’ Ho’s lack of class becomes ever more evident…
Sarah Palin’s bizarre cheap shots at Michelle Obama
Governor-turned-gadfly Sarah Palin goes after first lady Michelle Obama for encouraging Americans to — gasp! — eat healthier:
Sarah Palin is again taking aim at Michelle Obama over her anti-obesity campaign, taking the opportunity in Sunday’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” to land a diss against the first lady’s efforts to improve nutrition. While making s’mores at one point during Sunday’s episode, the former Alaska governor proclaims the marshmallow and chocolate treat is “in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert.”…
Palin’s comments Sunday appear to be in reference to a speech Michelle Obama delivered in July, during which she described her own upbringing when it came to food and exercise.
“In the afternoon, there was no way we’d be allowed to lie around the house watching TV,” she told the NAACP in a Kansas City speech. “Our parents made us get up and play outside.”
As the CNN article notes, this isn’t the first time Palin has slammed the first lady for her anti-obesity advocacy. She previously brought cookies to a school and suggested, wrongly, that Obama wants to remove parents’ decision-making power over what they feed their children; she lobbed the same accusation in a radio interview with Laura Ingraham. Perhaps most tastelessly, she recently invoked the memory of slain soldier Pat Tillman — whose family has made abundantly clear its disgust with using the former NFL star’s selflessness and courage to score cheap political points — to yet again conjure Michelle Obama’s nearly 3-year-old quote that she was, for the first time in her adult life, proud of her country following a primary election victory by her husband.
In case you forgot (as most of us probably have with such trivial episodes), Obama explained away her moment of candor, and the country moved on and elected her husband president by a convincing margin. Yet Palin, who styles herself as uniquely in touch with the concerns of Joe Six Pack American, has very mean-spiritidly taken aim at one of the country’s most popular public figures. Her obsession with the first lady’s supposed insufficient patriotism borders on pathological. If there’s a better indicator of poor political judgment, I’d like to know.

Folks in Alaska are getting increasingly disenchanted with the wayward wingdizzie – the Sno’ Ho’. The President of the AFL-CIO in Alaska is giving a speech today which includes the following:
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is expected to blast Sarah Palin in a speech set to be delivered Thursday in Anchorage, Alaska.
What is this crazy magnet that’s pulling people to the right? I mean, look at your former governor….
Who is she, anyway?
She used to have a job, your governor…. You knew her…. Or thought you did…. I know I thought I did. She seemed like a decent person, an outdoorswoman. Her husband’s a steelworker. She seemed to take some OK stands for working families.
And then things got weird. After she tied herself to John McCain and they lost, she blew off Alaska. I guess she figured she’d trade up…shoot for a national stage. Alaska was too far from the FOX TV spotlight.
I bet most of you, on a clear day, can see her hypocrisy from your house.
I think Sarah Palin quit so she wouldn’t have to be accountable… so she wouldn’t have a record that could be scrutinized…
Instead, she’s hanging out on cable TV, almost a parody of herself, coming out with conspiracy theories about Obama and his “death panels….” Talking about “the real America.” Talking about building schools in “our neighboring country of Afghanistan.” Writing speech notes to herself on her hands. Too stupid to use a teleprompter, the Sno’ Ho’ falls back to writing the answers to the staged question on her hand, like cheating on a school test!

Sarah Palin’s announcement of her resignation as Governor. This is strange political theater, as Palin is gasping out her resignation. The nature of the speech, her uncharacteristic nervousness, her allusion to “politics of destruction”, and demeanor all scream that there is another pretty major shoe to drop here.
Rumors have been circulating in Alaska the past 2 months that there is a major criminal indictment pending. According to several sources, including Brad Blog, MSNBC, and the Post Chronicle Federal Investigators may be looking at a Ted Stevens like scandal involving embezzling funds meant for the Wasillla Sports Complex to build Palin’s house. Since there has been no formal announcement by the Feds – this still is in the area of conjecture.
The embezzlement scandal revolves around the large, $12.5 million sports complex that Sarah Palin pushed through during her last term as Mayor in Wasilla. (more…)

The Sno’ Ho’, AKA Sarah Palin has resigned as Governor of Alaska. One would suspect by the 15 ethics complaints against her which have been “dismissed” by her cronies – one step ahead of the law.
The Sno' Ho' Says Goodbye... For now.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin shocked the political word Friday by announcing that she will step down at the end of the month and transfer power to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell. (more…)
