Scott Brown Blasts Kathy Griffin for Calling Daughters Prostitutes

Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts lashed out at comedian Kathy Griffin for describing his two daughters as “prostitutes.”

Griffin, host of Bravo’s TV “My Life on the D List,” made the comments on Bravo on July 13. When two CNN reporters showed her a photo of Brown with his daughters, Ayla and Arianna, Griffin let loose an explosive sound-bite.

“Scott Brown, who is a senator from Massachusetts and has two daughters that are prostitutes,” Griffin said, according to Fox News. (Which I would ordinarily discount if it weren’t for the video clearly from the segment in question. Wih Faux News’ record of lying and using fake videos, there just isn’t any way you can trust anything they present without checking first)

Brown did not the see the funny side.

On Friday, the Republican released a statement denouncing both Griffin and Bravo.

“People can call me any name they want, but families are off limits,” he said. “I love my daughters Ayla and Arianna very much, and any parent would be proud to have them as children. Kathy Griffin and Bravo ought to be ashamed of themselves.”

Brown has even found support from an unlikely source. Representative Barney Frank, a Democrat from Massachusetts, wrote a letter to Griffin saying her choice of words was “terrible.”

“What you did was wholly unfair and inappropriate,” Frank said, according to The Hill. “”I think it’s possible to have fun, and even to poke fun at people in my businesses, without this kind of completely unfair attack.”

For the record, Brown’s daughters seem like some pretty sharp young ladies, one in Med School, and the other a reporter.

Sen. Vitter: Rachel Maddow Looked Like a Woman a ‘Long Time Ago’

Senator David Vitter (R-LA), the conservative “family values” lawmaker, has a problem with women. His fondness for prostitutes is well documented, as well as his hypocrisy. And this past week, Vitter shamelessly pandered to his fringe base, by lending credence to the birther conspiracy that President Obama is an illegal alien. He was just getting started. On Friday, Vitter appeared on a right-wing talk radio station in Louisiana, wherein hemocked MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for not looking like a woman. This man is a U.S. Senator and he behaves like a buffoonish frat boy. After receiving criticism, Vitter apologized to Maddow.

Let’s take a trip down hooker memory lane. Married and a father of four, Vitter was forced to admit to a “serious sin” of paying for hookers, when it was revealed that he was a frequent customer of the DC Madam. There were also allegations that Vitter frequented brothels in New Orleans, a scandal that plagued him during his campaign for the House.

And there is the more recent issue of Vitter’s decision to keep an aide on his Capitol Hill staff to work on women’s issues. The aide, Brent Furer was arrested in 2008 for menacing and stabbing his girlfriend, while he held her hostage, as he asked, “Do you want to die?” Vitter asked for Furer’s resignation, only after the media uncovered his background. And Vitter later tried to parse words and deny that Furer worked on women’s issues.

Have to admit one thing, Rachael was pretty cute in High School, and I don’t think the short hair does much for her.

Scott Brown (R-Mass), With The Help of His Daughter, Want To Challenge President Obama to Hoops

Apparently the newest Senator in Washington has gotten in to that “bipartisanship” thing. At least enough to challenge The Prez – on his own home court no less…

To a Hoops showdown!

March Madness… Indeed.

Bipartisan Thowdown on the White House Court?

Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) and his daughter, Ayla, say they’re serious about their proposal to play hoops with President Barack Obama at the White House.

And now the father-daughter team is taking it a step further: they’d like the option of opening the game up to the public in order to raise money for Haiti.

“I think it’d be really fun. … I was thinking why not charge admission. It’d be a really good game knowing me and my dad — we’re very competitive — and give all the proceeds to Haiti,” Ayla Brown said Monday in an interview with ABC News.

Brown aides tell POLITICO that the proposal is still in the “idea” stage and that a potential basketball charity game is still a concept that could be presented in a proposal. Aides say they haven’t formally approached the White House yet.

But Brown did propose the idea to Obama just after he won the election last month. Brown also pitched the idea to Vice President Joe Biden shortly after his swearing-in.

“I tell you what, I think it would be a hell of a game,” Biden told Brown.

Yeah – but methinks Brown’s daughter Ayla is a “ringer”!
