BTX3 made all 3 of the local channel’s news shows, and apparently CNN according to the locals.
Good thing I brought along a suit and tie!
Hope is running really high here for the new Government. Here’s hoping that the new government can finally get things moving in the right direction.

Have you seen the report on Pescadero CA, I think BB brought it up once, on 60 mins. It is not good when it comes to an earthquake. The schools can not withstand 1.5 g.
Haiti in the long run (20 years or so) may be in a better position than us, that would be ironic to say the least
A lot of stuff, particularly residences are being built with the old construction techniques and with the same problems. That is due to the complete lack of momentum caused by the brouhaha between the old government and the donor agencies. The meeting Monday was about the first of the major rebuilding projects in Carrefor, which has been financed by IADB.
